I was really impressed with dinner here. I will be coming to Little Rock at staying at the burgundy monthly, so I'm so happy there is a great restaurant on the premises. I have celiac and they were very accommodating to my gluten free meal. Instead of bread they brought me carrots with cowboy hummus. And I was so happy because I was starving as I hadn't eaten a meal all day, as I was really working very hard. The had the beef short ribs. The serving size was perfect! The devil is in the details. The food is amazing and beautifully presented, but service is horrible. This is the case with most restaurants in Little Rock. Our waiter served from the wrong side, stacked plates on the table, left dishes from prior courses on the table when serving the next course and took forever with drinks. We sweated through our meal despite advising the waiter that it was too stuffy in the packed dining room. When are the chefs in Little Rock going to realize that their hard work goes to hell when it's served in a shoddy manner? This place could easily be the best restaurant in town if everything else was up to par with the food. read more

Came with a friend who said the meatloaf was good. Of course I went with the fried chicken and Mac n cheese. Totally not what I expected. Single piece of chicken sitting on a layer of sweet potato and cole slaw. Way over priced at $24. The chicken was tender but the rest I left in the Togo container. Mac n cheese was just ok but very runny cheese. Like I said totally not what I expected. I guess I'm more a fan of old American instead of new American. the jack n seven was watered down too. read more

Convenient LR location, lovely ambience, well-dressed manager. So, photos and posted menu show sweet tea fried chicken, scallops, things most diners would find 'comfortable', as opposed to fried sweetbreads, pork belly, bacon fat cheesy croutons, and chicjen skin Mayo - described as fried, pulverized chicken skin incorporated into Mayo. There is some weird preoccupation at this establishment with chicken skin. But where are the chicken dishes in the menu? Where does all that chicken skin come from? Expensive dining would lead one to assume table linens and polished silver, as opposed to heavily tarnished flatware. So disappointed in the menu, we ordered a mushroom appetizer and Sazerac. The appetizer is flavorless, SLIMY, without seasoning - none of the layered, complex flavors a good mushroom dish offers. We are leaving after hot tea, complimentary bread & black-eyed pea hummus, a sip of Sazerac and a plate of mushrooms left after the slimy bite. I always prefer to post the best first. This was a dreadful dining experience, a huge disappointment for my birthday dinner. We left the gift card as we don't intend to come back. Serious menu and kitchen overhaul desperately needed. Manager didn't offer any off menu choices other than 'vegan with notice'. Not the fault of staff, but not particularly interested in cultivating goodwill. However, on exiting the manager did offer to buy back the gift card - with some annoyance that we 'didn't enjoy our restaurant'. We offered observations but were never rude. Could I possibly give table 28 zero stars? Unfortunately I am unable to rate the food because we never got that far. Table 28 mismanaged our celebration dinner reservation and completely booked out the restaurant. On our arrival, the 20-something hostess was absolutely rude, insulted my mother when questioned, told us to take it or leave it, simpered and rolled her eyes. While the restaurant manager attempted to be helpful, he also couldn't fix the problem that the restaurant created as sitting for dinner in a hotel lobby isn't all that fantastic. In all my years of dining, both fine restaurants and dives, I have never experienced such horrible rudeness. I wish the chef best of luck as he or she will need it in order to overcome their front of the house problems. Never again! read more

This is probably one of the nicest steak houses in Arkansas and seems to be sort of little known except for a few locals it seems. It is in the bottom of The Burgandy Hotel and I enjoyed both staying at the hotel and eating at the restaurant. They are very quick with room service and prompt, their food is delicious and the pairings are unique, nothing like it in town. Whether you're local or not you should try this place! Grits, Brussels, quail lollipops, the meatloaf, everything is simply divine. Oh and they know how to pour a stiff one, too. Breakfast is amazing, totally go there for that too! read more

When I saw it was inside a hotel I was skeptical but what a great place. The atnosphere was intimate but comfortable. We ordered some appetizers, escargot and beef tartare both excellent. Then had a noodle dish with wild boar, the noodles were pretty bad, stuck together and not fresh at all but dish was ok. We would eat here again, possibly, but the menu has way too much variety gets you thinking how much is frozen and not fresh (like the noodles) but otherwise tasty and comfy. read more

We tried the lamb lollipops, shrimp & grits and the Mac & cheese with chicken skin. The lamb lollipops in my opinion lacked flavor and weren't my favorite but the shrimp and grits totally made up for that. Full of flavor and absolutely amazing, the Mac & cheese was pretty good as well did not knock my socks off. Wonderful dining experience with A Beautiful Woman in Red. For our anniversary my wife Lisa and I went with Table 28 for a good dining experience. To our delight we discovered that in the turbulent world of fine and finer dining that sometimes, somewhere with certain someone's that it all can, on occasion, come together perfectly. We elected to shoot the pre- Cinco De Mayo moon and try the "Six Course." I shall now illuminate..... We began by being seated at a perfectly pressed cloth topped table by our waiter "Adam." (To our luck Adam turned out to be a complete and consummate professional and a genuinely kind human being.) All the courses were initiated by a new (fresh bottle uncorked before our eyes) glass of wine that generally paired well with the food. Some were a bit dry but all were fine and fruity. First, there did we began with the "Duck FarGar" which was perfectly seared outside and a true 'melt in your mouth' sensation inside! Next, pleasantly surprisingly was "Breakfast for Dinner" (pork belly and runny egg yolk with buttered toast) which was a great change up we both enjoyed. At the midpoint of our escapade we had a "Wild Boar Roast tastily inwoven with a flavorful dark noodle." It was very juicy and we both devoured it quickly! Fourth, (mine personal fav) came in the fresh form of a "Fish & Chips" course with a vinegar based tater sauce. Skin batter was cooked a perfect golden brown ,the Sea Bass within was flakey, piping hot and not the least bit gamey. Chris were fried but not greasy. Quite the Highlight for me. In the home stretch of the experience it was now time for #5., which turned out to be one of the best "Filet Mignon" steaks I've ever had. The Cheff who created this masterpiece deserved at least a handshake, which we both gave on meeting him after the Grand Finalé (#6) was done! For our patience we were rewarded with "Chocolate Cake paired with a caramel/coffee flavored Ice Cream." It was truly delicious. Atmosphere was great. Staff professional. Food and wine outta site! Ok first comes the most important part: This chef knows how to prepare meat! Really really good stuff! I wish him and the staff all the best. HOWEVER! I would rate T28 higher if it weren't for our amateur waiter who, for starters didn't know on which side to place a knife much less from which side to serve and clear. Basic! Then the wine deal. First of all the easy fix: the wine list is limited and misleading. Wines are listed in groups of varietals. Fine. But each wine in those categories only lists the vineyard and origin! Fortunately I know enough of these wines and the grapes to make an informed choice. Ok back to doofus: They were out of my first choice of wine. Ok so i made a second selection. He brought a different wine than what I had ordered as a replacement choice. Ok fine but getting annoying... NOT fine: This unlisted wine I had never seen, heard or approved of arrived while I was in the restroom...and heres the kicker...he proceeded to open and serve this wine I had never seen to our table!!! While I was away!! Hello! What if I had wanted to make a different call!?! It was good wine but that really pissed me off. Then not so amazingly...clueless as he is... he had the brass to assume I had never tried hangar steak...HOW would he know? There's more but I have said enough about this numbskull. Look, I recognize finding qualified wait staff is a big challenge in this town... you just need hire the ones with potential and train them. It isn't that hard or expensive to do. And this may be nit picking but the typeface on the menu is elongated and difficult to read. Looks stylish but misses the mark. Great meat though!! Keep it up!! read more

Finally got to try Table 28. The quail lollis were just ok. The duck wings were disappointing. I got the ginger fried chicken, tasted like any other fried chicken and was dry. One piece I couldn't even cut due to a rubbery piece. The best part of the night was the dessert, it was quite delicious. I got the toffee cake. My husband got the steak frites and he enjoyed his meal. He also got the s'mores dessert, he liked it, however the cake was very dry. read more

This was my first time eating at this establishment. Me and my husband dined here for our 2 year anniversary. The food was excellent. We got the quail lollipops as an appetizer which was different and yummy. Then I ordered the wagyu and my husband ordered the duck. After several minutes I was told by our server that they were out of the wagyu. I was disappointed and a bit vexed about this. I ordered the duck instead and my husband switched to the bacon wrapped quail. Both of us very much enjoyed our entres. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was great. After we were seated there were many other tables seated near us. One imparticular was ridiculously loud and no one asked them to keep it down. That kind of hampered our experience. If I could give 6 stars I would. I RARELY give 5 stars but this place is so cool. Super trendy atmosphere, situated in the bottom level of the Burgundy Hotel (which is also super cool).
