Lunch & Dinner Menu

Loved the food. It was a bit dark and the music was a bit loud for a Thursday night in a mostly empty bar, but once the DJ came in it was better. I didn't get a photo of our food but it's the best fish & chips I've had in the Chico area in the 10 months I've been looking for a fish & chips place. My husband had the naked pepper wings and loved them. Will be back again to try more foods and maybe dance next time :)

Section of the bar.

Kind of sad when a business faith is dictated by reviews dating years and years ago. Kind of like herpes, if I may, they never seem to disappear, specially when said reviews are detrimental and no longer apply to the present. Finally I went to this poorly rated establishment for their Taco Tuesday Special at $1.25 each. I should add that previously someone brought to our place the Monday Special, Burger night, which at this day and age must admit was unbeatable and rather tasty. The kind of special that defies all odds. Also, previously as well had their Wednesday Chicken Wings Special. That one, sadly, a fiasco. Super dry wings, devoid of all appeal, but for the money the quantity was decent. Anywho, Tackle Box simply rocks, and from the looks it distinguished itself as a truly unique scene. Staff reeked of good manners and friendly demeanor, which I must confess, truly appreciate. The shower singer in me wanted to get up on their stage and make a fool out of myself. The square footage truly mind altering, and the one question nagging me was: why the few and not so good comments? The bar alone is quite a sight! Tacos: small but loaded, easy to devour but please no less than 6, or will wish it had been. Salsa, meats, sauce, not shabby at all. Staff, as happily mentioned, nice as can be. Restroom particularly clean and originally decorated. Heard Happy Hour beers run for $4 a piece? If so, it would take quite a few to tune up. I thank the good man that drove us there. Karaoke Night Sundays? Buzzed enough I see no reason why I would not make a fool out of myself, God knows over the years I repeatedly have in good fun. Johnny Rivers "Poor Side of Town" seems about right. Tackle Box is an original, and from what I heard, the ownership which dates back and crew deserve plenty of recognition. 1 star 6 years ago, 10? Hello? How about recently, after all, this is no simple predictable place. Music does rule. 4.5 Stars.

I have always heard alot about this place around town but never gave it a try. The name reminds me of something to due with Fishing, not sure if that's on purpose or not but hey I find it to be pretty unique. Apparently they have everything from Midget Wrestling to Sean Kingston concerts. Anyways, I can't comment on any of those wild and crazy events but what I can comment on is the food that i ordered through DoorDash! I've been super busy so I haven't had the chance to leave a review but I placed this order on August 15th around 10am. I ordered the Tri Tip Sandwich and the French Dip both with Gouda. The food arrived and I was happy with my order. Nothing over the top but definitely nothing bad, that's for sure. I'd like to stop in sometime and then i'd be able to say more about this establishment but thank you guys for a delicious lunch last month! I appreciate it!

Tacklebox has really good bar food. Especially the Garlic fries. Bands generally on Friday and Saturday nights. Big dance floor just wish they didn't allow drinks on it and would give it a good waxing.

If you want a low key Honkey Tonk vibe then this place is your Jam. Pizza, Wings were good, drinks were cheap.

So much, I couldn't even remove any to simply eat a slice. I even went back to my receipt to make sure I didn't scree up, and now, they did. Won't return, as it screwed up my evening with my fiance, as we literally had nothing else for dinner to eat before our early bedtime.

The cheese pizza was fresh, actually hot when I got it. High quality I could tell. Delicious But this is probably just the effect of being fresh and all but the cheese was so melty it was hard to separate the slices from each other. When I try to take a slice out, the tip would without fail be the hardest part to take off without cheese falling off. As well with biting a slice, the cheese wanted to all come off at once. This problem solves itself when the pizza cools but thats the yin and yang of it Layout: When you walk in, its a decent size room, windows from the front and to the right walls. Couch on the left side with tables, then chairs together. Then on the right side with the windows, tall chairs and tall tables facing the window. As you walk in, directly in front of you is a table, left side with a pizza warmer, right side is cash register. Behind the cash register is a fridge for drinks. Extra note: When you order a pizza in person, the pizza you get will not be from the pizza warmer it will be made fresh from the kitchen. Idk when the pizza warmer is used, maybe online orders? Since they recently opened like 3 days ago, no surprise they dont have a yelp page yet

For my daughter's birthday, she chose Crush in Chico, and as first impressions go... this one made…read morea strong entrance. You step inside and head upstairs, and suddenly the outside world is forgotten. It's its own little realm holding court in the heart of Chico. It is warm, inviting, and has plenty of seating, with a full cast of attentive staff, and decor that doesn't shout "Italian!" from the rooftops, but is very hipster whispering with confidence. We opened with the lamb appetizer, and I'll admit this with measured humility... it rivaled my own. Tender, well-seasoned, and not a trace of that gamey nonsense. The Brussels sprouts followed suit, crisped just right, delivering that perfect bite between char and flavor. The bread and dipping combo? Let's just say restraint was not my strong suit. A few pizzas passed by like temptation itself, and every one of us took notice. Plans were made... our future visit in the works. For the mains, the birthday girl claimed the ribeye, and it arrived exactly as it should... cooked to perfection, with potatoes that could quietly steal the show if you weren't paying attention. Her boyfriend and I, in a moment of questionable maturity, settled our fate with Rochambeau. He emerged victorious and took the crispy chicken breast with gnocchi, a dish generous enough to test even a committed appetite. I went with the short rib ragu, rich and comforting, the kind of plate that doesn't need explaining. The drink selection holds its own, and the dessert menu read like a final act worth staying for... but we were defeated in the best possible way and bowed out early. Service never missed a beat. Present, attentive, and smooth from start to finish. Parking, as with most things in downtown Chico, requires a bit of patience and perhaps a small offering to the parking gods. But once inside, it's quickly forgotten. All told, a night well spent. Good food, good company, and a place that knows exactly what it's doing without needing to announce it. We'll be back... if only to answer the question those passing pizzas left behind.

We called farm star and heard surprisingly good news about the care they take when preparing gluten free pizzas, so we rushed down. Upon arriving, the staff was friendly. You could tell they had just had a rush and were restocking their self serve tables with plates, silverware, and water cups. The dining area is spacious and friendly. There is also outdoor seating for warmer days. We ordered the pig & shroom and I explained that I have celiac. They were very accommodating and explained their precautions. They also recommended the baked Brie appetizer with pear slices instead of crostini - a perfect combination! While it was a little pricey, the food was high quality and tasted delicious. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.
