Every time we're hungry late night we always come here it's open and the food is really good! I always get the burrito with meat cheese and avocado it's super good! Tacos and burritos here are amazing. My girlfriend and I always come here to satisfy our taco cravings whenever we're in the area. We enjoy the tasty carne asada, pastor, fish, and chicken tacos. The burrito, both wet and dry, is filling and taste great with all of their selection of meats. The horchata here is also great. I have never had trouble with parking. They have a couple of 30-minute spots right in front. And if I am not lucky enough to get those, then they have a lot of street parking on the residential streets nearby. Posting an update 6 years later: So I've seen the evolution of Taco Azteca for quite some time now. Can't say they've gotten better with time. I had hoped they'd age like fine wine but it's been more like milk these past few years. This last trip wasn't really a good one. They're now charging $2.25 per taco. Their dining area is just covered with flies. And you'll get salsa when you pry it from their cold dead hands. It used to be cool to see the same workers from your childhood. Now, it's fairly obvious that they hate their job (I guess I would too after 20+ years) but the nostalgia is gone. Farewell old friend. read more

We love the Lengua Tacos!! They cut juicy chunks of lengua in their tacos and burritos. We have tried many places and these are definitely the best lengua tacos! I grew up in Glendale eating this spot and Tapatio. I stopped eating Tapatio when they changed their sauce a long time ago. Had not eaten here in about 10 years and it still has the same great taste. I used to eat at Taco Azteca all the time when I was in High School. There was nothing better than walking across the street to grab food here after school. I had it for the first time since and I must say, I'm a bit disappointed. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla and carne asada tacos. It was super flavorful but the beef was not something I would call edible. Almost all the pieces had these gigantic pieces of fat which really grossed me out. Hands down best Mexican fast-food. Natural ingredients that never lacks flavor. The carne asada tastes fresh, is tender, juicy, and simply delicious. It's pricey but worth it. I always spend $40 here: 2 carne asada burritos, 1 carne asada quesadilla, 2 carne asada tacos, and two drinks. Always makes me and my boyfriends night as a meal after a long weeks work. Definitely better than Brick and Flour, which has more of a clean American taco taste. The tacos are inexpensive at $2 apiece for any meat except the fish taco, which is $2.75 but twice as large as the other tacos. I got the carne asada and lengua. Carne asada was good. It came with red sauce, which was a little spicy but not mind numbing spicy unless maybe if you eat six of these. The lengua came with mild green sauce. The lengua was a little slimy and too soft, not like the Tacos El Gordo (in San Diego) or the taco place in Grand Central, which makes the perfect lengua tacos, but the flavor was just right. My husband got the pollo which was made with chicken thigh, and it was plenty flavorful. The fish taco is good, too, if you like fish tacos. I wanted to try it but am not a big fish taco fan. This one came with lettuce, tomato, two slices of avocado, and a lot of seasoned white fish. Definitely worth that $2.75 if you ask me. For lunch, I think four tacos is pretty filling. Overall I definitely recommend you try this place out if you're craving Mexican food in Glendale, because it's pretty darn good. read more

Worst place to eat. Used to come here every week 7 years ago and I can definitely tell the difference. the service has definitely gone down and so has the food quality. Extremely dissatisfied with the customer service. The oldest guy who works there let's ppl cut in line even though other ppl who are also picking up phone orders are waiting in line. The asada torta was dry like the meat had been sitting out there for long. Skimpy in the avocado when there used to be actual slices on the torta. The horchata was a miss. Gross. One if the workers was so rude in asking my for my receipt. I told him my name and exactly what I ordered. He said we have plenty of orders here. There were only 2 bags in front of him. I showed him the charge on my credit card and described my 1 all meat Carne asada burrito. He mumbled something I couldn't understand and gave me a bag...with the order I described and MY NAME all over the bag. I'm never coming to this damn place again. So rude! First time here and the tacos were satisfying. I ordered three asada tacos and a torta. Both were delicious. This place is like a taco hut. The parking isn't great. There isn't parking really, except for street parking. I'm not sure if there is parking in the back but I doubt it. This place is like El Tap but smaller. The seating area isn't clean at all. That's why I'm giving it four stars. But the tacos were good. Not the best ever but good. Easy to order. Each taco is $2.00 (tax included) and the torta is $7.50. They accept credit cards. So delicious! We were on a road trip back to Las Vegas -- my daughters and I are still thinking about how yummy their tacos are!

Lived in Glendale for a long time and never tried this place. Went here today with the family. Wife and kids had combination of carne asada and carnitas tacos and they all loved what they had. Everything comes with their spicy salsa on it which was too spicy for them, but they scraped it off and still enjoyed. I had the carne asada burrito and it was about the best I've had in recent memory. I'll definitely be back! read more

I only wish the tacos weren't so small, and it would be nice if black beans were an option for their burritos (just a personal preference). Not my favorite taco stand but fills a craving if I want some authentic mex-food that is close to home. Carne asada is mediocre flavor compared to other 'better' places. The 'sides' that are outside the order window (jalapeno, lime, cilantro, etc.) can get very disgusting with people handling them themselves. That just grosses me out. They shouldn't allow people, especially outside, to handle them and surprised health inspector has not changed this - but it's been that way for YEARS.
