Basically, you order at a bar and you bring it over to a table. The food menu is quite limited. I posted a menu picture. We ordered beer and wine, two hamburgers and a Turkey BLT with fries. The Tavern is known for their hamburgers. Food is just fair. My turkey BLT was okay. Fries could've been much better. I had a taste of the burger. It was pretty good. Only after we ate, a server did come by for drink orders. The Tavern has a very nice outdoor garden seating area for the warmer weather. Basically, I think this place is just best to stop in for a few drinks. A small, very tight parking lot is available. In addition, street parking is available but be prepared to walk a distance.

It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, though the burger itself was very thick (more round than patty) and could have used a pinch more seasoning. That said, the bleu cheese and caramelized onions balanced everything out. Great service all around and I'll definitely be back to try the duck burger next time.

Myself and several others waited patiently (and obviously) at the bar, cash in hand, only to be passed over again and again while bartenders prioritized regulars, deep-pocketed bros, and the kind of performative hipsters who drink PBRs out of obligation like their hot topic t-shirt to a punk band way beyond their years. What's worse: there was no acknowledgment, no "we'll be right with you," not even a glance. Just a pointed refusal to serve anyone who didn't register as familiar, flashy, or fashionable. Or, who knows what reason. We gave up after 15 minutes. Luckys is a great a dive bar that's lived through the different incantations of the JCs arts scene but the bartenders working during the festival this year, particularly the woman, worked with a particular set of blinders that you had to bow down to. Looking forward to next year but hopefully with better service inside the bar.

She had her ID available on her phone, but instead of handling the situation professionally, the woman immediately got loud, aggressive, and disrespectful. She kept yelling at me and repeatedly saying she "owns the bar," as if that gave her the right to embarrass and mistreat customers. There was no reason for her to raise her voice, talk down to us, or make the situation so hostile. Enforcing an ID policy is one thing -- being rude, aggressive, and making paying customers feel targeted and unwelcome is another. The way we were treated felt racist, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable. I would never recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of bars that know how to treat people with basic respect.
