Great for couples and large groups alike! As a hungry vegetarian, I wish I would have known earlier about what a hidden gem. This restaurant is for my dietary preferences. I must've passed by this place hundreds of times in the years I lived around here, but I thought it was more of a comedy show and and a hangout for the local corporate folks around here after work. One day we came here and I was shocked to see the variety of vegetarian options. The first time I came here I had the impossible burger and they also have a vegetarian burger as well. They also had a fried rice with lentils and broccoli. It was very healthy and I didn't sense the fried in the rice. Today we went there and I had a Santa Fe salad with extra tofu and it was very good. The prices are fair and the desserts are amazing. The manager and everyone from the whole staff are amazing and ask for Alex and he will hook you up with fantastic service. I am looking forward coming here for a comedy show as I bet. It's "Pi day" and so I was inspired to look for chicken pot pie on DoorDash & found this place for delivery. The Chicken Pot Pie was delicious and so was the Dorrian's Irish Whiskey Cake. The Wild Mushroom Ravioli was decent but the quantity was not much given the price. Prices overall seem a bit inflated (more so on delivery apps probably) but at least the flavors are good. I would definitely be open to trying other things from here (or indulge again the next time I have a hankering for chicken pot pie)! read more

Took my mom here for her birthday comedy show. There is a two item food or drink purchase when u purchase a ticket to the comedy show. We ordered the wings they were tasty but a fried a bit hard. Drink were pretty good but overall it thought the menu was a bit pricey for bar food. The comedy show was a good time. It was about 7 comedians who do a few minutes each and some were def funnier than others but the show left u very entertained from beginning to end. Late night looking to eat some BBQ wings, Stumbled upon this restaurant. Around 9pm we entered and the place was pretty empty, except the bar area. They have outside seating, but it was closed. They had a vintage telephone booth for photos. The restrooms were clean and tidy. Now let's get into those wings... Amazing! Delicious! Flavorful! Crunchy! These tasteful wings had me craving more. We attended the comedy show and unfortunately, the restaurant experience took away from what should have been an enjoyable evening. Our service was extremely disappointing. The waiter was not attentive, and we were ultimately charged for food that we did not order. When we brought the issue and our frustration to the manager, Derick, his response was essentially, "Sorry, I'm not the owner." That response felt dismissive and did not demonstrate the level of compassion or accountability I would expect from a manager addressing a customer concern. We also purchased tickets without guaranteed seating, which added to the confusion and frustration of the overall experience. There needs to be much better organization and communication between the restaurant and comedy show operations. I understand that mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a business responds when those mistakes occur. Customers should feel heard, respected, and valued, especially when they are spending their money and taking the time to attend an event. The comedy show itself should be an enjoyable experience, but poor service, inattentiveness, billing errors, and a dismissive management response can significantly impact the entire evening. The wife and I are up in Jersey seeing the sites and we were told by Hotel staff that Dorrian's was a good place to eat and have a drink so we went walking. It was close to the hotel and in a safe area. The drinks were a good start and the meal was great! The wife had a homemade chicken pot pie which looked huge but turned out very light so she almost finished it. Said it was 5 star! I had a buffalo chicken wrap which was also very good. We were there about 4:30 pm so the place was not crowded at all and Will did an excellent job waiting on us and keeping us happy. We got to try the food from Dorrian's while attending the comedy show they host. It's huge restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating, a large bar , plenty of space. The menu consists lots of beer, wine, mocktails, cocktails, burgers, pizza and few more variety of items. The menu seemed little pricey to me. I ordered the nachos with beef chili for appetizer. It was such a well made dish. Lots of guacamole, sour cream, jalapeño on top soup delicious beef chili. I got the Rueben for entree that wasn't too impressive to me. The sandwich was pretty dry, no real sauce in it. Pastrami was dry and hard, almost felt like they were crispy bacon strips. I got the virgin margarita that was very sour, the lemon flavor overpowered the whole drink. Probably virgin mojito would have been a better choice. Our servers were wonderful, did a fantastic service, packed our leftovers at the end. Food came out pretty fast. Overall a nice place for a good meal. read more

If you're in Newport, do yourself a favor and stop by Dorrian's Red Hand. The food was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the Steak Frites but swapped the fries for mashed potatoes (highly recommend), and asked for gravy on the potatoes. They ended up putting it on the steak too, thank God they did, because it was hands down the most delicious mushroom gravy I've ever tasted. It tied the whole dish together perfectly. I did take out instead. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. I was pleasantly surprised on how good this sandwhich was. My waitress who took my order was nice. It was quick and the speed they brought out the food was quick. I ended up getting the wild mushroom ravioli for $19 dollars. It came with light cream bordelaise, mushrooms, tomatoes, parmesan. Honestly, it was a great meal. We were walking to Target and noticed this bar. We sat outside in the summer and it was really nice in the evening. We were quickly seated. Our order was also taken very quickly. Our waiter was very nice and did his job very well. I ordered the pastrami sandwich. It wasn't huge, it was a nice size, like you might make at home. I didn't taste the jalapeño inside. I honestly don't even know if they put any in, but I imagine they go light because of the clientele. So I would feel comfortable recommending this to my friends who avoid spicy food. I wouldn't order this again. The flavor wasn't on par with what is in Manhattan. It was ok though, just not my idea of how good pastrami tastes. My wife ordered Buffalo chicken wrap and she enjoyed it, but she asked for extra bleu cheese. She said it didn't have enough inside. She said she would order it again. The French fries were very basic, in a great way. They were tasty and normal fries. Similar to McDonald's fries, just a different oil taste. I don't think I'd return. The food was good, in a work lunch kind of feel. Not something I'd look forward to for dinner. I don't really drink much anymore, but it seems like this would be a great place for drinks and good food By the way, I saw some Yelpers complain about the service. Waitress was not good and for my first time trying falafel it nearly broke my teeth and I know falafel shouldn't be hard. While this place is conveniently located and the hostess was welcoming, the waitress had terrible customer service skills for this place to have such high reviews. The table was wobbly which we noticed after the drinks arrived and I happened to push down on the table to situate myself. We asked if she had something we could put under it, her snappy interjection was "You just now noticed? You gonna have to move to another table" as she sped away. She didn't check the table next to us for stability, didn't help us move our glasses over. There are so many restaurants & bars to choose from that have more class worthy of 4/5 stars. Last evening for the 6:30pm stand-up comedy show. First visit and I'm giving three stars for the fine service and the show. However I had the "blackened salmon" with mashed potatoes and spinach. The mashed looked and tasted to be made with water rather than dairy. Just had a couple bites as it wasn't worth eating. The blackened salmon was exceptionally bland and a little on the dry side. The spinach was strangely almost the tastiest thing on the plate. My wife had the Caesar with chicken. The chicken was dry and she couldn't finish it. I went on a Friday after work. It was not crowded. Sat outside because the bar was full. This is a great restaurant. My server Monolo (spelling) was the epitome of great customer service. Friendly, attentive and informative. He checked on me and my guest regularly and kept our drinks filled. They have happy hour week days until 7pm. Drinks were good. I highly recommend the appetizer called the Pu Pu Platter. Good and filling. The menu options are vast and I had a hard time choosing. I will definitely come back to try other food they have. I was able to get a grilled chicken sandwich on 7 grain bread with a sauce of green beans which helped me to stick to my meal plan. My husband got a pastrami Rueben. Both were very good. Came here a couple times before for company happy hour as they have pretty decent deals. They have beers and wines for $5 and martinis for $6 which is pretty good. Their happy hour bites were however pretty disappointing. The pizza we got was subpar and wings were pretty standard.
