This location is extremely outdated and needs to be remodeled. It even has an old smell to it inside the cafe. Looooong loooong drive thru lines with a ridiculous waiting time. I have been to this place several times since I moved to this county and everytime they are open to accomodate to dietary needs, are fast, and the manager who works at both H street locations is the best. One time my app didn't work at the other H street location and I didn't bring my wallet, so when I came to pick up I had no way to pay and they offered all possible options available so I could still receive my food. I think i had to reorder in the app and just told them not to make the 2nd order and they were happy to work with me. Listen, these people are a fast food business that is a high stress, lower wage industry. Give them a break if you are low rating here. They make mistakes sometimes, yes, but they're always happy to fix things. A great taco bell. I've been coming to this establishment for years now. The furniture looks straight out of early 90s, it was tacky in 2000s but now its retro. As far as food quality goes, this one is exceptional in comparison to other taco bells. "Mexican inspired" is how taco bell describes their own food. Although it isnt authentic Mexican food like the kind you'll find at lolitas or taco el gordo, it is a nice take on mexican fast food. and you won't get Montezuma's revenge from taco bell, but if you go for the 3 taco combo, plan on getting to a toilet in about half an hour. The staff is friendly, management seems decent. And considering they have to deal with highschoolers all year long, the staff does a good job at maintaining cleanliness and a welcoming attitude. I've been a customer for years at this location. I went to southwestern college and I would go almost every day with my friends. Pretty much every time I went my order would be messed up, to the point where it became a joke to my friends. Well now with the COVID situation I understand that things got more strict. I went today and I ordered 2 nacho fries boxes, 3 DLT one no lettuce, 2 pack of Cinnabon delights, and 2 chicken chipotle melts. Needless to say... they messed it up, they gave me 3 DLT all with lettuce and they charged me for something I never ordered and I never received the 2 chipotle chicken melts OR the item that they charged me for! I took one of the Doritos locos tacos back to the restaurant after I tried calling them with no answer and I saw that there was a line of at least 15-20 minutes. I parked and called them and they finally answered, I explained what happened and I told her she said to bring the receipt and they would fix it. I told her I was already there but there was a 15 minute line and asked if i had to wait in that long line(I left my food at my house because I assumed this was going to be a quick fix) and surprisingly she told me that I was going to have to wait in the line. I told her that I left my food at home and that It was going to get cold, and that it's not fair to wait in a 15+ minute line to fix their mistake. They told me it didn't matter and that they couldn't leave the restaurant because of... "safety". I told her no worries and just leave the bag at the door and I would pick it up when she went back in. And she told me no. Came here after a long night of driving. There was a long line for the drive thru so I went inside. This location is clean. The bathroom's clean as well. He didn't say anything. When we sat down, I realized the tortilla wraps of our burrito supreme weren't wrapped right. It was a sloppy work. We've been eating at this location for 13 years now. We haven't gone the last few months, and when we did, it was a terrible experience. Our burrito supreme were always nicely wrapped. This will be my last time visiting this location. My last two visits were not great. I understand that we're all dealing with Covid issues but this can't be the reason for the lack of empathy that I experienced during my last two visits. This past Thursday was the last straw for me. I had two separate orders and only received one. I couldn't reach anyone because they were clearly busy with drive through so I totally get thar. I had a gift card and the gentleman at the drive through gave me total for both orders. I only wanted them in separate bags but I was paying for both orders at once. After I went back for the second order, he informed me that he remembered me and only charged me for the first order. I told him that I was upset and didn't want to pay for the second order. He had another gentleman come to the window and insisted that I pay for the second order. I voiced my frustration again and told him that i didn't think it was fair to pay for the second order due to the problem. I said I'm not paying for it and as I drove away, he told me to HAVE A NICE DAY. I have about 10 of us who meet at this location weekly to meet and eat in the parking lot because of Covid.
