When I noticed that the street tacos were priced at $4.99 each, I commented that the price seemed high compared to other restaurants that offer smaller street-style tacos for less. She responded by citing "inflation," and when I pointed out that other places still charge less, her response was, "That's how the prices are in Florida." The interaction came across as dismissive and somewhat rude. I ordered a taco salad with ground beef, which was average at best. Shortly after placing my order, I noticed the La Rumba Signature Salad on the menu and asked if I could switch to that instead. I was told the order couldn't be changed because it would require a management void and they don't like doing those. Additionally, I had to flag down staff multiple times just to receive my check. On a positive note, one of the staff members cleaning the bar area was exceptionally kind and took time to engage in friendly conversation. That interaction was genuine, welcoming, and ended up being one of the best parts of the visit. Overall, while the atmosphere and décor are impressive, the service lacked significantly. For a brand-new establishment location, I expected a friendlier and more customer-focused experience. With additional waitstaff training and better customer service standards, this restaurant may have the potential to become a highlight in the area.
