I've experience some strange things at this taco bell. HOWEVER, I do believe it is one of the better ones near the grossmont/ el cajon/ la mesa area. It's not terrible. It's taco bell. But I had a very odd experience that was interesting to say the least. The day after Thanksgiving. Yes a few months back now or so. But the day after Thanksgiving, I ordered a Cheesy Gordita Crunch. Super bomb. BUT! I'm pretty sure one of the chef's thought he was doing everyone a favor: There was ABSOLUTELY ground ham mixed in with my beef. Now WTF?!!?!? that's plain effing weird. Usually don't have problems with this Taco Bell but this time they could not understand that I wanted to substitute beans in place of beef. I had to toss an entire $30 meal into the trash because eating meat is against my customs. I order Taco Bell as a monthly treat and this has never happened ever. Very very disappointed. :( read more

Normally I wouldn't review but since this is happened more than twice I Have too. I've come to this location multiple times typically with the same order. There's always at least something missing but this time over half the order wasn't in the bag. The guy at the drive-through handed me my drinks said the food would be out in a minute. When the door open he started handing me the 2 drinks that I already had. He apologizes turns around to see one back sitting on the counter and hands it to me. I asked if this was my order he says yes then I ask is it all in there because the back feels light. he says "uhhh" Then turns around to the guy behind him and ask to which the other man replied yes. Thank you and drive off assuming I had all my food. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because when I called and went back into the store the gentleman that helped me was very kind, very polite and fixed the situation in the most professional way. read more

Walked in the door and the smell kicks you in the face. It smells like someone dropped a fresh deuce in the bathroom. Whent to the counter and waited roughly 15 minutes and just walked out. The staff was entirely to busy to be bothered with the front counter. Kinda disappointed with my order tonight. Taco Bell is always my go to late night snack. Hardly ever have any mistakes with my order itself. But tonight it seemed like the employees were in a HUGE rush! There was a line for the drive thru so I walk inside(no big deal). Ordered and by the time I had put my lid on my drink it was done.. normally I have to wait a little longer cuz I get it specialized. But didn't think anything of it till I got home. Opened up my crunch wrap supreme and was disappointed.. normally all the nacho cheese, sour cream is oosing out of that first bite. But it doesn't even look like there is any on it at all! So I guess next time I want Taco Bell I'll be driving a little more outta my way to try out a different one. Recently, I went through the drive thru and ordered some big crunchy tacos, a nachos supreme, and a couple of cokes for me and my date. I asked for a second to figure out what I wanted to order and the lady in the microphone was very nice and obliged. Well, the seconds turned into minutes when I started getting kissed on the neck, etc. 10 minute later I was finally ready to order and the microphone girl was as nice as before. What a professional!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, the only minus of the encounter is since one thing led to another and we did'nt eat our food, everything got soggy and the cokes went flat the next morning. Make sure you eat your food within a coupple hours!! (Maybe Taco Bell should have a disclaimer) We could'nt eat it. This location is very nice and clean. The service is pretty nice. It's a great place for groups to hang out and eat a meal. The food is fairly delectable as well. I would say it's one of the best Taco Bells in San Diego! read more

This is the only Taco Bell I have been to that has unprofessional staff. Every time I come in there's always staff talking to each other or laughing really loud, or I'll see staff at the cash register literally on their phones and not caring at all. This restaurant offers drive-through and Eat in. Usually there is not a long wait for the drive-through. The restaurant itself is not the most clean. The food is consistent and quick. The location is convenient because it is near the 125 freeway and the 52 freeway. read more

Hire competent workers. I come here often because it's close to home, but they always miss something in my order & when I eat inside I see people complaining about the same thing from the drive thru. The last time is was in this place I only ordered 2 items. They forgot 1.. seriously? And while I was eating I seen at least 5 customers come from the drive thru indoors to get their order corrected & it wasn't even that busy. This Taco Bell has the nicest people working here!! When I come here I feel like I'm at my favorite local joint where the employees seem like friends. The food here is horrible. I wanted to try the new grilled nachos & it was horrible. For starters, it looked like the employee who made it did not care at all. This is a horrible taco bell to work for and to eat at! I have a friend who worked there and they only scheduled them 4 hours every week. Plus my friend told me that one of the top managers looks like he is on meth. One of the other managers spit in the food to one of the people they do not like and is always digging there hands in the food and eating it. Hands down the worst taco bell I have ever been to. We went through the drive thru and when we got home I went to eat my food and literally everything on my taco salad that I didn't want was there, I ordered steak and I got a teaspoon of beef no steak and when I called to complain because this is the 10th time something like this has happened they wouldn't answer the phone and kept taking it off the receiver to where the phone wouldn't ring.
