Went to drive thru took a long time . The food was good for fast food . The vibe is welcoming. They have parking in the lot if you dine in . They have indoor seating . They have public bathrooms for customers inside.

    Plastic

There was a large piece of plastic in the food. They still wouldn't refund me. I feel sick.

If you guys are vegetarian this is perfect for you. Barely any meat

They decided to include cheese despite my request for none. If I want a salad, I can make it at home. This dish is basically meatless. I'm never ordering from here again. as this isn't the first time happening.

Poorly run! There are 5 employees here with a drive up line out onto Revere Beach Parkway and at least 6 people waiting in the dining room. Two people actually working. No sense of urgency they are stopping to chat. Three people standing in the back talking. 1 guy wandering around the dining room not doing anything but telling everyone they are out of luck and saying over and over to get the police officers number next time she comes through the drive up. I've waited 25 mins thus far for 3 tacos. I would leave if I hadn't already paid .

They had Nacho Fries listed on the drive thru menu, but when we ordered, said we dont have it! Black bean Crunchwrap Supreme was just tortilla and almost no filling at all? Nothing like what you see on the pictures at all. I had to throw it! Why is it called Supreme? Huh! See picture what you order vs what you get! Fiesta potatoes were good. I can order that again. I did not like the Lipton Iced Tea.

My partner and I arrived with empty stomachs and thought we could annihilate an appetizer and two mains but we were very quickly proven wrong. The nachos (we got pork) were so packed with meat and toppings that halfway through we knew it was over. Each bite was perfection though and it was so worth it. We also ordered a steak torta and some quesadillas. The steak torta was pretty average tasting to me, and the cuts of steak were definitely different than I'm used to. I appreciated it came with a side of fries, but that honestly wasn't even necessary. The quesadillas were excellent and reminded me of what you'd get in Oaxaca! The cheese pull goes crazy too. We also ordered a horchata and I was also pretty disappointed in this. I'm not sure exactly why but it just wasn't hitting the spot for me. And trust me, I love horchatas. Overall this place is a really good option if you're looking for some tasty Mexican food. It's super close to the Blue Line, the wait staff are incredibly nice and accommodating, and the ambience inside the restaurant is great too.

Taquería Jalisco is a casual Mexican restaurant in East Boston specializing in traditional…read morestreet-style tacos, tortas, tamales, and dishes inspired by the flavors of Jalisco. We walked into a small, unassuming space where the focus is squarely on freshly prepared food made with bold, authentic flavors. The dining room is modest and functional, with a counter and a handful of tables that give it the feel of a neighborhood taquería rather than a sit-down restaurant. The energy is practical and welcoming, with the open kitchen allowing us to see the tortillas being pressed and the meats being grilled fresh behind the counter. The birria tacos are the signature order and the dish that defines the menu. We ordered a few and found the tortillas crisped up on the griddle, the beef tender and well seasoned, and the rich consommé served on the side for dipping. The combination of the savory meat, the crispy tortilla, and the deep, slightly smoky broth made each bite feel layered and complete. Other standouts include the adobada tacos, which had a good char and a subtle spice that built gradually, and the lengua torta, with tender tongue layered between a soft roll and topped with fresh ingredients. The pozole was hearty and comforting, with a broth that carried the flavor of the hominy and meat without being overly heavy. The tamales, chicken flautas, and well-seasoned rice and beans rounded out the menu, each arriving hot and freshly made. The pickled onions and house salsas added extra flavor, and the horchata was a popular choice to pair with the meal, its cinnamon sweetness cutting through the richness of the dishes. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant maintained a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere that keeps people coming back. Despite its modest size, the kitchen moved efficiently, making it a reliable option for both dine-in and takeout. The staff checked in at the right moments and kept the pacing of the meal comfortable, ensuring that even when the small dining room filled up, the experience stayed smooth. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food in the Boston area, Taquería Jalisco stands out for its consistently flavorful cooking, generous portions, and menu built around classic recipes rather than modern interpretations. It is the kind of place where the food speaks for itself, and the simplicity of the setting only adds to the sense that you are eating something made with care and tradition.

With all of the visitors here for the tournament, it's no surprise that the place was hopping. We got carded at the door and made our way inside. We initially found a small table towards the back, which were the only seats available when we walked in. After waiting at the table for several minutes, some seats at the bar opened up and we seized the opportunity to sit there instead. We ordered some margaritas, namely the house margarita and a coconut margarita. They were fine. We also ordered the triple dip (chips with salsa, guac and queso), a quesadilla and the birria tacos. Even though they were extremely busy, the food came out quickly. I didn't try the quesadilla but my boyfriend devoured it, so I think it's safe to say he liked it. The birria tacos were pretty solid. Only two of them on the plate but they were super juicy and a stuffed pretty generously. I liked the triple dip the best though, particularly the queso and guacamole. It's definitely very expensive for everything we got; this is likely because the place is located in a very touristy area of the city. For just two margaritas and three food items, it cost over $100. They also had us pay for everything before we received the food, though I get that this is probably because of how many people were there for the World Cup and ordering drinks to go. Overall a decent spot to have a drink, split a couple of appetizers and watch a game.

I was eager to try a variety of tacos, though I was warned the tacos are quite small. It was a fair warning. I ordered 5 tacos, and expected to leave stuffed, but I was hungry again by 4:00pm. Eeeek. These are 3-bite tacos. Although small, I enjoyed the flavors of all the tacos I tasted. My favorites were the seafood varieties. 1) Baja fish - really crispy batter, creamy, spicy slaw 2) Yucatán shrimp - great texture, and spicy bean-like plantain puree. The pork belly was sweet, but a bit dry. In addition to the picked red onions, it could have used another saucy component. The carnitas and chorizo tacos were also good, but were less interesting for my palate. My five tacos were $20, without any sides or drinks. They have lots of shareable sides and appetizers, and I could easily drop a lot of $ filling up on their tasty bites while lingering in their lovely space.
