April 27th, 2017, around 5:30pm Drive thru, while placing my order, I could hear a lady(manager) *screaming* at all employees and other managers in plain sight of dining room guests, and also subjecting Drive thru guests(me) to this "lady" who is a poor excuse of a manager. It's not the first time I've witnessed unacceptable behavior from this manager. She is making a usually happy and upbeat crew, MISERABLE. She was going on and on about some kind of survey...REALLY!??? I wish I had gotten one then so I could mail it in to the franchise owner so they would know what is going on here!! After reading previous reviews, on this store versus other stores, this Taco Bell's got to be the worst on island! When I finally got to the window, I asked who was that lady screaming!?! The poor girl said she was the "Big Manager". I told the belittled girl to keep her chin up, that the crew does a good job... she gave me a little smile, and said, "Thank You, Mam". Any morale that this crew might have had was stomped, kicked, and thrown out the door! Leaving an embarrassed, depressed group of people to try and get themselves back together to face the public. I don't need to witness this verbal assault while trying to order my food! Too bad I don't own a business where I could offer the other manager and crew a job...I would do so immediately so these abused workers could quit right on the spot and walk out! I ordered. After I ordered I paid. The woman gave me my cup and walked away... She went left then right then left then a couple minutes later came back to me and said this is your up. I then told her... Can I have my receipt please? I waited for my receipt for a while as the line started to build up. My order I asked for was... 1- nacho supreme 1- #3 Came out to be 11.08. The price kind of made me suspicious which is why I wanted to see exactly what I was charged for. When I received my receipt I saw she charged me an extra 1.99 for a large drink! No wonder the price seemed off to me! I confronted her and she said "oh no that's what it's suppose to be". So I said "the #3 comes with the drink right???? Isn't it included with the meal?" Three of the employees said yes it does and then I asked "then why am I being charged for an extra drink when I only had the one that comes with the meal?" Their response is "that's how we are suppose to ring it up. It's been that way for a while now". I was like really? Since when? The managers response.... "For long time". Me- that's the first It's not so much about 2$ as it is with their integrity. Ripping people off all day of $2 builds up. Not just that- lying to your customers not just makes you look bad- don't forget your wearing a uniform so you represent a company. I told my daughter "let's not eat here anymore". And explained to her what happened. She wanted me to turn my car around and tell them herself to give me my money back... I said I appreciate that Emma but it's just 2$. I picked up breakfast boxes thinking that I would have the grilled burritos but instead I received the crunch wraps. I didn't know that you had to specify when ordering. The order taker asked if i wanted the cinnamon delight for the drinks. Then again if you don't specify hot or cold, the assumption is hot. The first time I had it was the grilled burrito so I anticipated the same. Evidently, at that time the order taker did ask whether the burrito or the crunch wrap was preferred. So I guess it was my misunderstanding that I had to specify, otherwise it's an assumption again. Next time I will specify and also check what comes on the screen. The good thing is that even if I had to wait a while they were made as you ordered so they were hot. No taco sauce in the bag tho'. If you don't ask, you don't get. Again, check the order screen. Only certain staff here are friendly. They sometimes do not have any pizza available and it all depends on who is working for the day. They also get the order wrong from time to time. When I had an order that was messed up and we had called to let them know, the night manager was asking us if we could drive back there for the correct order. But we were to far to turn back so she took our information to get the correct order the next day. When we had time to go back and get the correct order, the morning manager on duty was very rude. It took her a long time to resolve the issue before we got our correct order. In between the resolution she dismissed us to help other customers even though she had an employee already there taking orders and the store wasn't even busy. Horrible experience. Since that incident we haven't gone back there for a few months. Then we figured maybe it got better, yeah right, talk about same old. The next few incidents was over there pizza menu. I understand if they don't make the pizza ready to go and it will take them a while to make, because I don't mind waiting. However, don't yell at the customers about not having pizza available. Maybe this Taco Bell should take pizza off the menu all together because half of its staff is undertrained, ignorant, or lazy to make the pizza. This is the only Taco Bell I know of where the staff is very unprofessional. Because fast food restaurants make mistakes and they make up for it somehow, like correcting the order. But this one has no customer service with its management and some of its staff. A failure like this comes down to management. Now we drive down to the Taco Bell near the NEX commissary where we have no problems at all. Last night, they left a Beefy 5 Layer Burrito out of my order so I ran back inside and not only did they immediately apologize and make me a new one, they also gave me a free order of those little cinnamon bites for the trouble. Even though they made a mistake, they handled it with such grace and friendliness, that I still left feeling really good about this Taco Bell. It's amazing what a difference a positive attitude makes in the employees of a place like this. Tried the highly advertised grilled stuft kalua pork burrito combo meal, which comes with a crispy taco and a drink. The kalua pork burrito was mostly rice and beans and I only found a little kalua pork at the very end of eating the entire burrito...What a disappointment! Everytime I eat I taco bell I am most always satisfied. I was looking forward to their meaty taco salad and got denied this time. YiPes!! WHERE'S THE BEEF??? I don't know who was preparing the salads (2) we received but they had very little meat (less than half of the normal portions). For me all fast food restaurant chains start at three stars and they can either go up or down from there. You know it's not going to be amazing food unless it's like Chipotle and that's like my favorite chain so I'm a bit biased there. However, this Taco Bell blows as far as customer service. No one greeted me or my husband. We both stood at the cashier/order area for FOREVER before anyone came up to help us. They were all chatting and I mean it's not like they were busy or anything. There were probably people in the drive through but with like five or six people working... it's not like all their time was devoted to them. So already they were working with less than three stars. Their food was consistent so it wasn't like that made much of a difference. With fast food, you just hope for consistency. So I just keep the rating at two... you know they used to have a really good old man in the drive thru but I have no idea where he went... now that guy was awesome!
