Literally FLARED right now. Stopped here on my way home from work because I was starving. Ordered 2 bean burrito supremes and a Doritos taco. I was asked what sauce I wanted and I specified mild. I love taco bell, this place is no better or worse than any other one, just the one closest to my place. I come here a lot when I'm doordashing and they haven't gotten any of my orders wrong to my knowledge. Open late which is great and the drive thru is pretty fast depending on the time. Taco Bell is, well, Taco Bell...You know what you're going to get as far as food. However, this rating is purely based on the young man who took and processed the payment for my order. That being said, this is what happened...I received a gift card for Taco Bell, so I decided to finally use it. I get to the window to pay, and I give them my GC. He comes back to the window, after taking the card, and says, "I'm sorry, there is no balance on your card". Me, just having received this card, was slightly confused. I told him, and he just kind of shrugged it off. I decided to pay cash and leave as to not cause a big thing over it (I let my dad know, because he is the one that gave me the GC). Fast forward. I'm cleaning and going through all my GCs and pulling up all the websites to check the balances on them. I come across the Taco Bell one that, to my knowledge, had no balance and I never used, technically. I put in the information, and it shows that there is a balance AND that transaction from that day DID go through and charged the GC. I really wish I knew the man's name from that day... I'm usually not one to bitch or make a scene, but this was absurd. I went through drive through. First off, their mic sucks bc you can't even hear wtf they're saying. Secondly, you have two people speaking on the mic overlapping another to confirm what I was ordering. There is no greeting just "the total is so and so", "what kinda sauce" hand me back my card and food. No "thank you" no "have a good day" just 123 goodbye. I felt like Ariana Grande in "thank u, next". This isn't even the real issue. I started to eat my ground beef chalupa, and 1/4 way almost done, I see a big piece of plastic film........*insert yack emoji here* Of course I went back. Went inside and I stated my problem. Like i've said, I don't like causing a scene... but really I almost swallowed this whole piece of plastic shit....ANYWHO. I said my issue and I just wanted a re do of my order and to fix the confusion of the cheesy potato I had also ordered. I didn't speak to a manager, or I thought I didn't. I didn't see a title on any of the people I dealt with. They lacked costumer service real bad. It's like they didn't know what to do???? Service is always kind, fast and efficient. Food is well made! On my most recent visit I had the pleasure of Maria taking my order. She listened and did not rush me, which happens often due to having two young ones. When I got home I did notice a small mistake (happens to the best of us). When I returned she recognized me immediately and went above and beyond to fix my order, and was extremely sweet. Ok so took my kids to Huntingbeach for s'mores and campfire fun. Returning home and stopped by this Taco Bell as I also got Advil for my wife at the liquor store cause she had a headache. So taco bell was next door and decided to just stop here. Everything is fine, till my food is ready and a "manager" from back comes up and says I didn't pay. Jeremiah the cashier said I did, as I did. He insists nothing was paid, I tell him check the camera, just give me my food I need to get home so my kids can get ready for bed. 20 min drive home. They insist I didn't pay and count he till and of course, I PAID! They then give me my money back and tell me they refuse service. My kids are crying we just want our food. They could have easily just said sorry here's your food. Or even better here is your money and food. We apologize. Instead they called police and just insulted me. Poorly staffed restaurant. Would like to follow up with someone who actually makes decision a for this restaurant. Here are the managers along with counting till then giving me my money back I paid. So I'm vegan & LOVE Taco Bell. I haven't always been a vegan. The TB on Beach and Garfield is great with substitutions (if one manager isn't working). The one one Beach and Slater has a bad ass manager and always respectful of our requests. Sooooo, the Bolsa TB is a fucking mess. They talk about you while they are making your "vegan" food. Example, "What do they think we are, Starbucks", "Why in the hell don't they eat meat?", "Oh, they are pissed! (Laughing)". My son went in for me because the drive through order was wrong and they laughed at him. Literally made him cry. The most disrespectful unkind unprofessional group of people working with food!!!! Thank God I know the strings to pull on the usual manager " Carlos" who is condescending and unpleasant. Carlos, I hope you soon are wondering on where your next meal comes from. I guess due to COVID-19, quality customer service is gone but the safety facade is alive and well. Ordered the following through the drive thru: - crunchwrap supreme - beef chalupa - bean burrito - 2x nachos - medium Dr Pepper Total: $16.11 After ordering and paying for my food, I was given a bag that was sealed with a sticker on it. I figured everything was in the bag because I thought Taco Bell verified the contents before sealing and handing it to the costumer. No one even tried to come out and flag me down to tell me what was missing. It wasn't until I got home and opened the bag did I notice the Chalupa was missing. So I returned to Taco Bell and went inside to ask for the Chalupa. The guy I spoke with said he remembered that order and said he will go get it. I asked him to give me all new items (crunchwrap, burrito and chalupa) as they were already soggy. After several minutes I was given the sealed bag again and I left. I checked to make sure everything was there before leaving. Upon getting home I realized everything was soggy. Nothing was remade. There literally was no crunch in the Crunchwrap, disappointing to say the least. Email has been sent to management and I hope they can redeem me, in the form of a refund, for this appalling lunch.
