Is this my favorite Taco Bell? Nope that one is in fresh meadows. However, this one is a near second. I've made it a personal tradition to always stop by here after my dentist visits. Luckily, I haven't had a cavity in 15+ years (well.. there is no luck in daily brushing and flossing!), so it's kind of my own pat on the back every time I come here. I always get either a Crunchwrap supreme combo and a cheesy Gordita crunch. Sometimes.. ok all the time.. I'll also add cinnamon twists. Who cares that 20 minutes afterwards I'll be crying "whyyyy". You'll stand around for 5-10 minutes trying desperately to get an employee to make eye contact so you can ask about your order and then it may or may not be ready. Where do I start? I went with my girlfriend early in the day so they weren't that busy. We place our orders and end up waiting over half an hour to get our food. Literally you look in the back and no one is there making food, they are all on their phones or doing other things. Once we got the food my box was missing a whole taco, my girlfriend had spicy sauce that she can't eat and she had a free item lost. Had to make a documented complaint towards this taco bell 4/24 at 9:30 PM I came in and they took forever to get the 3 guys in front of me taken care of. Kept messing their order up and took them 6-7min to fix the guys slushee. Unbelievable. I made an online order for in store pickup. I went here with my friend a few months ago. And wow, this blew me away. I ordered the "Double Beef Burrito", for only $2.49! For 2 bucks, you're getting a lot of goodness in your meal. It's meaty with crunchy bits scattered around it. Great for the price. This should be worth at least $4.99. (Don't actually change the price.) Nacho Fries were cheap and great! They were perfectly seasoned and the cheese dip is very underrated. Free refills were a nice treat. Service was passive, but they still serve you. So, we placed an order online since we change out some of the ingredients and it can be a bit annoying in store. Placed the order, get a text saying the order is ready at 6:23, at 6:35 my husband is still waiting because they hadn't started the order yet....what is the point of ordering online, telling someone it's ready and then it isn't?? Also, there is a sign saying pick up online orders here, yet one of the guys behind the counter tells my husband he still needs to wait on the regular line and tell the cashier...what?? What can I say...it's Taco Bell...and I love it! This place has a more updated dinning room than most of them on Long Island. I have never had a problem with my order here and I always get my food very fast. One if the things that I noticed is that all the Taco Bells changed their half pound burritos into regular burritos. I have been here a few times. Always in the drive thru. No idea what the inside looks like and it doesn't matter to be honest. It's a busy enough road where you have to be careful leaving. The line always moves quickly and my order has always been right. It's your average TB. The food is food and you don't have to get out of your car. Terrible service. Can't seem to get an order right. Returned an order that was completely wrong only to be given a replacement that was still wrong. At this point I just gave up. It seems the staff either can't comprehend what they are reading on the prep screen or they just assume what they are giving you will be ok. Taco Bell is by far one of the greatest late night guilty pleasures (second only to White Castle.) My experience here was strictly a drive-thru one, and man was it a good one. I was the designated driver tonight so pulling up at 3am I was very aware of what was happening compared to my drunken wife. Speaking to the window teller through the loud speaker sounded like she was right there talking to me! The clearest voice I have ever heard at a drive-thru speaker. The digital display shows your order in a clear and bright fashion so there is no confusion. The teller was very respectful and friendly and I felt happy to be there. Pulling up to the window I congratulated the teller on having the clearest loudspeaker I have ever hear...I still couldn't get over it! After we received our food all of it was perfectly hot and made JUST to order! Even with our special requests and substitute ingredients as we are both vegetarian. Pretty good Taco Bell that's just received a facelift sometime ago, customer service is OK, pretty friendly & professional most of the time,like other reviewers say every now and then they do forget an item or will get it wrong but that is pretty much every fast food joint you go to! I always double check my order to make sure before I leave, one thing I wish they would change is the ordering billboard, it's way too far away as you pull up in the drive-through and the lettering is just too small! I went to Taco Bell in Merrick ,N.Y. at 1709 on Merrick Rd and when I got home there was hair in the food tangled and to make a long story short I contacted the health dept at 516-227-9697 for Nassau County N.Y and file a report because the manager on tour at 3pm mr. stweart stated that this has always been the complaints with all taco bells companies and He does not know his owner name but yet he is employed there. He first said he was the owner and when i said I would have my phone call subpeona he then said he was the just manager and he said this is nothing new with taco bell and this has always been the number one complaint with " all taco bells". This manager does not care about the hygiene of food because he said your going to get hair in your food but not all the time .please check your food ...its not his food he is eating so he does not care if you get sick. if anyone heard this conversation they would never eat there again.
