Slowest taco bell I've ever been too. I love taco bell and use to work in fast food during college so I always give the benefit of the doubt but wow this has always been a bad experience. The employees aren't equipped to handle rushes and I feel like training needs to be done for common customer service skills. They're trying their best but it's been multiple instances. Unbelievably awful location. I live nearby and have only been about 5 times over the years. I finally went my final time this evening. I bought one combo and 2 chalupas and a bean burrito and a potato griller. I also got 3 sides of nachos cheese because every visit prior that I have asked them to put nacho cheese inside the tacos they never put it in, but charged for it. This time they missed two items I ordered. Didn't find out til I got home. The items I ordered weren't even enough to satisfy two people and it was 42 dollars!!!!?!?! Two veggie tacos with beans no meat - no cheese - no sour cream and same request with the Mexican pizza. I check the tacos and of course there's cheese. Went through the drive thru and was given a quarter for my change. It should have been 27 cents. I said excuse me but you gave me incorrect change. She said let me see your receipt which I handed her. She said let me see your change which I then handed to her. She says the change is correct and hands it back out the window and it drops on the ground next to my car. I said no it should be 27 cents and you gave me a quarter. She says we don't have any pennies. I said how can you not have any pennies and she said we don't have any. I said you can't just short change people, that money adds up, and that's illegal. She ignores me and starts pouring a soda. I said can I please have a quarter you dropped mine on the ground and she has the audacity to say if you want your quarter then pick it up off the ground. I am a senior citizen and had to climb out of my car and pick it up. Never in all the years of going to Taco Bell several times a month, have I ever had such a rude and disrespectful person wait on me. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior! Had I been her supervisor I would have fired her on the spot. She should be thankful she has a job during these times. This is fast food fake Mexican food, so know that if this is your first time. It is bland, it is not great. It is Taco Bell, so know what you are getting. This one is located in Santa Monica Blvd. in the heart to Santa Monica. It has a drive thru and an interior to order food to take outside to their few tables or take to your car. This place is super small. But they have all the same things as any Taco Bell. We had not been in years so we needed some help with the menu, we went inside. the staff was just super nice and that is the best thing I can say about this place. The person that took our order was so kind, as we had a lot of "add this" and "not that." She was really patient with us. The food came out so fast. I think the woman preparing it could hear me as I was trying to figure it out. She did a great job. All that we ordered was there and made the way we asked. The food was not very good. The Chalupa was room temperature and the tacos were okay, but not at all hot. the nachos were awful and went in the trash. So, all in all, the food was bad. But I have had a chalupa before (thick shell) and it was pretty good, so this place just missed the mark. But again, the staff stood out as the best part of the trip. I won't be back to this one, but I do thank them. Without them, this review would read much differently. read more

Placed my order inside through the kiosk. Everything was sent. The woman in the front never received my order when I wanted to pay. Then she asked me what I wanted. You have a robot that's taking your order and it doesn't go through, you wait and then you don't get your order, but the counter lady will now take your order. A time waster of stupidity. I like this Taco Bell location! Y'all know what they have. Hate or love their food, it is what it is. I personally love their avocado ranch sauce and quesadillas. Many nomz. I like this particular location as it's convenient and staff is always super nice to me. Not just cordial and doing their j~o~b but actually friendly. I always order ahead on their app so my food has always been exactly right including modifications to order. Plus you get points and deals on the app! It's a must. Seems like most bad reviews are drive-though, and out-of-towners. Well, if it helps, I get the same thing every time inside the lobby and using the kiosk, and it comes out the same every time. The people are busy of course (at the drive through), but get it done, include the hot sauces. The higher prices are the main problem. read more
