This place has been reliable for the longest time and I am grateful for everything it has gotten me through. The main item that I usually choose is the Grilled Chicken Taco, which consists of a warm flour tortilla that has marinated and freshly grilled chicken, house-grated cheddar cheese, lettuce, and an amazing sauce within it. I often get three of these after a long shift and finish off the meal with Mini Cinnamon Churros that come with two pieces. Other great items include the Chicken Cheddar Quesadilla, which has what the Grilled Chicken Taco has along with tangy green sauce, and the Double Del Cheeseburger, which contains two beef patties, tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, burger sauce, and onions on a grilled sesame seed bun. So Del Taco was my favorite fast food spot, it still is kinda but I have not been going to fast food places like I used to. I was going so much it was just unhealthy. I still go but not 3 or 4 times a week like I used to. Del taco was definitely the spot I went to the most. I was going to be near by for a bit so I figure let me put something in my tum tum and Del taco was right here. I always order the number 10 which to me is still the Macho Combo, they've changed the name but I refuse to. The girl at rhe counter seemed to not want ro help and as long as I was standing there and she saw me, she helped a lady that literally just walked into the door. I told the lady and she ignored me. So I remained calm and when the girl at the counter helped me it was like she didn't want to be there. I used to work fast food way back in the day and I was overly too happy to help. For what they make now you'd think you'd get a better attitude. She never asked if I wanted it for there or to go and she gave it to me to go and I just took it too the table and ate there. Customer service was non-existent. I ordered two chicken quesadillas, and there was no chicken. I was famished, so I ate one and took the other one back. I told them they got the order wrong and asked for two more. They gave me only one. Yes, I did eat one, but Del Taco is the one who got the order wrong, and they should be bending over backwards to please the customer. Last, they never apologized for messing up the order. Look, it's a Del Taco. You're not expecting much, but unfortunately it's not too great, even at "not much." The food is always "just okay" but this location is particularly grimy feeling. Parking tends to be decent but the area directly around it is pretty run down. (That said, just a street over and you'd never know.) Okay, so, I want to start off by saying that this is my ride-or-die local Del Taco. Not only is it located in the perfect spot for my commute to and from Tuesday band rehearsals, but the workers are super friendly and their primary menu items (especially their tacos) are generally quite good. That said, I want to note that I've had issues with consistency at this Del Taco. I rarely get the sauces that I request at the pick-up window (I think I've gotten ketchup in the bag approximately 1 out of every 6 times I ask for a few packets), their fries are either perfect or VERY soggy (no in between), and their produce isn't always great. Again, everyone is always friendly, but I've grown rather frustrated by the fact that it's a craps shoot every time I come here. What happened to this place? Seriously, I've eaten at Del Taco my entire life, but I think I'm finally done. Is this because Jack in the Box owns Del Taco now? It's 4 am a I'm writing this. I just came to this restaurant and I saw that their lights are on. The store is supposed to have their drive thru open 24 hours a day. I waited for several minutes and there was no one there to take my order. I continued to drive to the window and didn't see anyone working inside the restaurant. I don't think I've ever stepped foot inside this Del Taco, much less eaten here. I always go thru drive thru or get delivery via Postmates. I've prob eaten the food here about 10 times in total, but it's the closest Mexican drive thru place to me. They have a vegan/vegetarian menu too. Lately, I've been having a nachos and breakfast burrito craving for some reason so I've ordered from here a couple of times recently. I like their chicken rollers and their nachos. The nachos have 2 sizes and I always get the small one. The cheese is white in color. I can never eat the whole thing in one sitting so end up microwaving the rest later and it's still fine/pretty good. I also save the chicken rollers for later and also heat those up, which they are yum. They have a dollar menu so the food can be really cheap! The Beyond eight-layer burrito (27 g of protein - what?!) and Beyond avocado tacos (12 g of protein!) were beyond my expectations!! I'm so happy that Del Taco is serving plant-based meat options. Plus you can easily customize the Beyond options to make them fully vegan versus vegetarian. It has been surprisingly hard to find vegan burrito options in this town, and it's going to be really convenient to have Del Taco there for a quick fix. My only complaint is that the area felt a bit sketchy at night - it's on the corner of a busy intersection, and it seems like there were many people loitering around or cutting through the drive-through on foot and also hanging around the back lot. The only reason I am giving 5 stars is because of their amazing employee Cheridy/Cherity (sorry I forgot to ask the spelling). What I thought would be another sad experience at a fast food place turned into an experience that honestly snapped me out of my funk. Cheridy had the BEST energy and talked to me like a real person. Our interaction was about 10 seconds, but there was something about her voice that instantly changed my mood. Del Taco, yall need to give her a raise. I am visiting from out of town ro visit my mom and went to have dinner with her and my nephew and an employee Josh rudely said that it was 9 -!: that they were closed and that we had to leave. When I responded and asked him why didn't he do a courtesy call he just very rudely and dry said , " That the schedule was on the door". I will never come back here again. The worst case of it all my mom was trying to find closure with my nephew since he has been homeless and recovering from drug addiction. When I come here I usually use the drive through. Now that I think of it. I don't make any line when I use the drive through. There are never any cars when I come. I have used the dining area twice. When I want to eat here there is always one or two people ahead of me. I think people just like to eat in the dining area at this location. The cashier was very nice and I noticed she helped everyone right away. The dining area was very clean too. Our order was quick and it was hot. We ordered so much food and they didn't take forever like most fast food places. We actually went to go sit down and it was done in about 5 minutes. We all ordered separately and they came one after another. I really like this location. The table we got was big and we all fit. The only down side was the restroom. I only occasionally eat fast food, and this was my first time at a Del Taco. The employees who man the location were exceptionally nice and helpful, as they answered a couple of my questions. I figured, now that I'm vegan, I'd check out their new "Beyond Avocado Taco" made with the plant-based "Beyond Meat Crumbles." Btw, a shoutout to Del Taco for giving us a vegan option! The Avocado Taco consisted of a crunchy taco shell, vegan meat, one slice of very cold, tasteless avocado, shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and spicy green and/or red mild salsa. The meat was blended with tasty Mexican spices and had great flavor. There's no way anyone would think it was anything but real beef! Good work! Overall, their taco is a great option for people who love Del Taco. The side of black beans were good, albeit they were filled with waaay too much salt. Would I eat there again? Most likely not, because I'd rather opt for organic, GMO-free, healthier ingredients. And there were no vegan cheese options, cilantro or limes. Chipotle or Tocaya Organica are more my style. read more
