There's a vast amount of different flavors to chose from. Plus we love the fact that it's opened up so late too! My kids got the Ube & cookies and cream ones. My hubby and I shared the limited flavor of pandan. It does get a little bit messy eating the taco shells, but oh is it delicious! The service, there were two employees making the orders while one was taking the orders. They tried to serve us as fast as they could. We really didn't mind the wait for the delicious ice cream. This week, my son and his girlfriend are here visiting from Texas and I told them how wonderful this place was and that we needed to try it so we ordered for delivery and the actual delivery went very smoothly however, there was a choking hazard in my son's ice cream. In this ice cream, we found five small pieces of broken plastic hard plastic!! Thankfully, my son is an adult and he was able to not eat this plastic, however if a small child had this order, it could be a major issue. Sweet Rolled Tacos is a take-off of an old theme of hand mixing fixings into ice cream. The difference is in the presentation: how it's served and how it's made. The idea of serving ice Ceram in the style of a taco was fun. I couldn't help eating it as I would a taco. It worked well. But eventually I ended up using my spoon. I liked the showmanship of making rolled ice cream. They start by pouring the ice cream mixture on a frozen work surface, and add the flavoring that you choose. And when that becomes ice cream, as you watch, they chop and blend your fixing to the mixture. And when that becomes your ice cream, they start the rolling process. It's fun to watch - a lot of steps. They did it quickly and masterfully. I liked the step stool in front of the viewing glass for kids to get a better look. This is a very kid friendly place. The ice cream was sweet and creamy, but on par with the other ice cream shops. The "shell" was the usual ice cream cone shaped like a taco "shell", but wasn't particularly different than other cones. They didn't many "shell" options, mostly a color choice. Which again, was a fun change to the usual experience. There is limited indoor and outdoor seating. They charge for less ice! I noticed that I could only get about 4 sips and realized that it was because the cup was 3/4 ice. So I decided to ask for less ice the next time I went. When I got my drink I questioned the .88 cent charge. They said it was because of less ice in the drink. I said , you're charging for less ice?? They said yes because it's more drink. WHAT?! So I'm paying $6.45 for a drink that is mostly ice? I'm here thinking I'm buying a magic milk drink not a cup of ice. So because I want more of the drink I'm paying for I have to pay extra for less ice so that I get more of the drink. That is ridiculous. NEVER heard of that. Most places do give a lot of ice but if you ask for less ice, you don't get charged for it. Maybe it's already included in the price, nonetheless, at least I know what I'm paying for upfront.
