Been here at least 3 times now and love it. It's a hole in the wall spot for your favorite desserts! They have quite a variety of home made flavors. There's a TV to your left when you enter that plays movies or shows in Spanish and there's often a lot of kids with their parents stopping by so it can get quite loud. They have great customer service too and give you spoons to sample flavors. I got the snicker ice cream today while my sister likes the rose petal. Go check this place out if you can. read more

Came in here for the first time. I got pepihaute. My daughter got a mangoniada , mom got paleta de Nuez. And brother cajita feliz. All was delicious. My mom super loved the ice cream. It is not right for customers to go into a business right at closing time: Employees are already in the process of cleaning up and getting ready to go home (or out and about). Customers who pull up to a place right when the "Open" sign is turned off should just turn around. With that being said, I was one of those customers tonight. As a reward to myself after a long day of work and school, I had a hankering for a bionico, which is not very easy to get around here. I went to the new Cardenas, but they don't have it ready-made and the fruit bar was already closed; I left sorely disappointed. I went around the corner in the hopes that the Paleteria would be open and would have bionicos. Last time I came here was a few years ago (no complaints about that first visit either) during the daytime, so I wasn't sure about their hours. The owner (?) turned off the Open sign right after I parked, but noticed me and motioned me in. It was 3 minutes after closing time. There were several employees closing up, and I did not feel a negative vibe from anyone. I got my bionico (I usually get them from the Northgate Market in the LBC) and left a happy customer. Even though this place isn't in the most ideal part of town, it is still worth going to! They are friendly and offer an assortment of Mexican treats. They have 28 different ice cream flavors if you'd rather go that route. I also saw a small freezer with Mexican Popsicles (forgot which brand but the tamarindo, coconut, bubble gum type...if you are Hispanic then you know what I'm talking about lol). Anyway, I read a review about a sandia loca and I wanted to try it for myself. It was great!! I believe the price for one would be $10.25 but it fed 4 adults and we had leftovers! Basically a watermelon carved out then filled with watermelon (of course), mango, cucumber, jicama, tamarindo, cueritos, Japanese peanuts, and chamoy/chili. You can omit any of the ingredients--just order it that way. We also purchased a mangoñada, a diablito, and tostilocos. We were satisfied with all!!! Can't wait to go back for more!! read more

The staff here is sooo friendly. Usually there is a long line but that's ok because they are that good. I also don't mind the long line because EVERYONE is working and not standing around. Apparently the machine was being "slow" I wish i could have known that instead of waiting in a long line with only one employee.
