This is a great family restaraunt, the type of place you can bring your mother and father, sister and brother, and your kids. Inside their are several tables where you can sit and probably even have a birthday party there. They have an awesome old school pac man arcade for the kids and a modern laser juke box. As i sat inside it felt like i was in mexico, eating in a cantina. Beautiful women surrounding me as i sit alone and wait for my order. They take cards, so i dunno why they say cash only. They also do orders to go. The food is second to none, i often wonder how they manage to make it so good and so fast. Outside in my car a bald tatooed man knocked at my window. I am giving it a four because those restrooms are ugly af. I never go to the restroom they are dirty and they smell. Toilet is so old. And just its not a place where I wanna go to the restroom. This place is amazing. The location isn't ideal, but the food is beyond delicious! Forget El Torito, Del Taco, Taco Bell, or whatever other fake generic Mexican place you can think of. The best tacos like the real ones in Mexico, for a low price here in downtown Anaheim. I've been coming here for about 20 years with my friends and family... The tacos have small doubled up corn tortillas, carne asada, onions, cilantro... mouthwatering. There's also different meats like, pollo, lengua, carnitas, al pastor, even ceso. The red salsa is the best, but the salsa verde is pretty 'effin good too. The burritos are big and full of stuff that will fill your belly. The best things that I treat myself are sope's... if you've never had one, you don't know what you're missing. Sope's are thick corn tortilla patty, topped with beans, meat, cabbage, cheese, and this tangy cream sauce that makes it all work. They look like a small, pregnant tostada... Came here after a random venture to the juke joint next door we took a while deciding whether to go here or tacos guadalajara (sp?) but taco boy won after reading the reviews. Now first of the bar next door is pretty gnarly definitely not for the faint of heart I can handle it but I can see why people would be wary. First off theirs a dude hanging out on his bike outside of it and as we walk by he asks for a cig so my man being nice gives him one then the guy goes ehhhh you got a extra condom? hahahaha definitely for those tranny hookers or just plain hookers inside of that bar. Also the old man behind the counter was awesome he was super friendly and he spoke english really well. He even joked around with us a little. So onto the food I got the chicken gordita. It comes in a fried shell type thing that they stuff all the goodies in i asked for no cheese but still got crema bummer but my own fault. They top is with cabbage instead of lettuce which is a nice touch... the chicken was some of the juiciest and most flavorful that i have had. The man got lengua pastor and asada tacos all the meats being perfectly balanced and flavorful which isnt common especially for the pastor. We got the taquitos which was the only fail of all of the food the guac had that weird metallic taste to it that del tacos does i still don't know what it is that does that and the lettuce was all wilted. Plus they didn't fry the taquitos long enough and they weren't even crispy yucky. But how good all the rest of the food was definitely made up for that little mishap... plus no ones taquitos stand up to tacos san pedros anyways. read more

Was at a nearby bar and really wanted flautas with guacamole. When I got my food, it was excessively overdone. Like they'd been fried too long until almost burned. Also, the oil used to fry them had gone bad. A lot of fast food places do this too and its unforgivable. When the oil becomes gross, they skimp on changing it out when they should. Okay, then they put green sauce on my tiny flautas. They were smothered. But not salsa, or guacamole, it was like that fake green guacamole dip from the market. Had some tacos dorados as well. Same deal. Burnt and bitter flavor of tortillas overpowered everything. Wound up tossing the food and having to come home and brush my teeth immediately to get that taste out of my mouth. Not a food snob and I like to support local businesses, but wow. Food fail. Other places in the same area are much better and I'll avoid Taco Boy from now on. My first time there, I was in love with their street tacos. Second, third, and fourth and last time, I wonder why I gave them so many chances as each subsequent visit was disappointing. I'm sorry. Had a craving for tacos so I busted open my Yelp app and found this place. It doesn't help that I don't speak Spanish, so I ended up buying four small tacos and an entire to go container of rice and beans. The tacos were good, the green sauce I added from the sauce coaster is really good, but the rice was mediocre and the beans were very plain. I'm talking throw a can in a pot and turn it on for a few minutes plain. I paid $10.50 for this... Not a rip off, but overall this place does not stand out to me and I'll be trying other places as that is a lot of money for what I got. read more
