When you go to Taco Boy, you really can't go wrong! First, their tacos are awesome! When I have family in from out of town that wants to try real Baja style Mexican tacos, I take them here. The flavor on the tacos is awesome! My only gripe is that the tacos are a little expensive for their size. They are your typical "street taco" sized tacos. My friend and I were looking for food before a show at the Juke Joint and we stumbled into Taco Boy. I'm pretty glad we did. Cash only, but completely reasonable prices and good quality food. Food is decent, like that they have agua de piña, my wife loves the sopes here. Asada is alright, i usually get the carnitas or chicken. Burritos are good and so are the tortas. Tamales are on par and the people watching is awesome. read more

Had high hopes for this place based on reviews. Tacos were okay, nothing great but nothing bad either. I like that they have a salsa bar with the pickled carrots. Price is reasonable. I love this place. Love the crew there. Love the food. Don't like the restrooms or the dining area. It's small but every time I'm in the area, we end up here. Sopes are my fav and champurrado(I'm sure I spelled it wrong). No mirrors in the bathroom but they have them all over the restaurant. I like it because eating a sope with lipstick gets all over my chin and the mirror behind me works great lol. The server is an older gentleman who is always there when we go. Nicest guy ever. It's next door to a bar so eat then get drinks or drink then eat. They are open late. They used to have one on Euclid in Anaheim too where we used to eat. When it closed I was sad. I've been coming to this place for years. I really enjoy their burritos de crane azada. They're just so juicy and delicious!!! I've also had their enchiladas and they're pretty good for authentic Mexican enchiladas (non cheesy). The birria is also delicious!!! Try it and it's actually goat meat ... Uhh the taquitos are definitely frozen ones. Fresh fried taquitos don't look that way (refer to picture). I should've know since he said they ONLY come in beef. Greatest tacos in the world. their red sauce is one of the best and unique sauces I've ever tried. Very spicy and heated southern cajun style to it. Very similar to the one at boiling crab. El Pastor is the best. Its a very smoky sweetened meat. Like Galbi or korean bbq. You get your money's worth if you go on a Tuesday for Taco Tuesday. They're about 85 cents. Get tacos only. This place never disappoints. I've had the al pastor torta which is realllly good. The meat has great flavor and the torta is pretty big. The bread is lightly toasted on the inside also which I love. I haven't had al pastor that I liked more than taco boys. I've also had the carne Asada fries which are really good also. They aren't loaded with much (fries, cheese, beans and meat) but still really good. Their red salsa is the best. It's not too spicy & has great flavor. Im not a huge fan of salsa on my food but theirs I have to have. They also have really good pickled carrots which are my fav. I'd also recommend the horchata. I'm a huge fan of horchata as is and theirs is pretty good. It's not chalky and tastes light and refreshing with the right amount of cinnamon. My fam has been coming here for years and everyone we have introduced to taco boy loves the food. I'm surprised they don't have more reviews and a higher rating. It's definitely not the nicest or cleanest place which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Most Mexican spots open this late aren't the cleanest anyway so I'm not even mad at it. Sorry. It was ok. I was excited when we pulled up and I saw champardo on the menu. Even painted big letters out side on the window. I shouted "they have champardo!! ". Tears of pure joy in my eyes. I was gonna order a cup for all us knowing my gringo friends have never had it. Any way we go in I order my carnitas sopas and rice and beans with a side of chips and she says "oh we no have chips" uh what? Exsqueeze me? You don't got no chips? After a night of hanging out at the Juke Joint, having some drinks and catching a band play, it's cool that Taco Boy is just passing the parking lot. Over the years I've tried all the things on the Menu. Once going in past 3am the menudo was ready for Sunday morning. Took some to go and it was perfect when I woke up around noon that Sunday. Tacos, burritos, tortas, & quesadillas, I've never disliked any of their food. Now I know what your thinking, after a few beers most food taste better. This is true, but I've given this place the "Before Test". That is going in for a bite before the night begins, and I'll tell you it's still very good. My favorite is (now this is for you hard core taco eaters) getting Tacos de Buche & adding some chorizo on top! Thats Ace's!!! Enjoy the tacos and please save me some. read more

The worst menudo ever , no hamony in the menudo they didn't want to give me fresh onion ...no cilantro and the tortillas where hard and the salsa section was messy and looked like everything had been sitting to long , yellow old chipped onion and looking nasty I will never eat there again .
