It's been a minute since I've been to Taco Boys, I remember the tacos being more jacked up. I crushed 3 barbacoa tacos (which were delicious). I could have easily had 6 due to their small size. I understand the tacos are street tacos, but if they were more meaty it would be an easy 5 star review.

First stop in town, and the tacos didn't disappoint. Got all my tacos fajita style. Carne and Barbacoa were my choices.

This was a pretty small taco spot. They're open daily 10am-10pm, except Fri & Sat - 10pm-1am Parking was a bit difficult since it's located next to a few other businesses, as well as Dutch Bros. Inside was fairly small but had a decent amount of seating Menu was not too big and had a good variety of quesadillas, burritos, vampiros, tacos, platos, and sides! Pricing was reasonable and most items were $12 and under. Tacos were $3.79 and there were 6 options! Service was ok since you just up to the counter to order and sit down kind of place. The complimentary salsa bar was pretty nice and had plenty of options - pico de gallo, lemon, salsa, cilantro, etc. Got asada tacos ($3.79 each) and it packed with meat! The meat was very flavorful but a little dry. The tortilla was ok but seemed a little dry and not too fresh. The green salsa and pico de gallo was very fresh and delicious! Overall, the tacos were decent but well worth the price so this was 7.5/10 Not sure if I'll return but it's a good first time experience for reasonably priced tacos!

Big fan of this place! I was walking around Tempe, looking for a quick bite and happened upon this spot. They do counter service, so it's pretty relaxed. The tacos themselves are bare bones, but the toppings bar is where it's at! Considering it's a chill and inexpensive restaurant, the quality (meat and tortillas) was above expectations. I'd happily grab tacos from here again!

Coming from Hawaii and the lack of quality tacos...this was heaven. We couldnt decide what to order so they gave us a little sample of each meat to try. When we brought the food back to our hotel, the others were on the patio drinking and couldnt stop salivating. Will be back next time when we are in Phoenix.

A great taco place to try in downtown Tempe! The interior has a counter to order from, lots of stools and tables, and multiple TVs. They also have a salsa and topping bar. There's almost as much outside seating as there is inside, with great views of the street. I ordered an Al pastor burrito with beans and cheese which was $11. It came out super fast! The tortilla was great, the meat was neon red but so good, and the beans were so rich. An excellent easy meal!

We've been there at least three times and we love it! There are multiple protein choices and I love the barbacoa and pastor, the char of meat is perfect. We can also choose corn or flour tortilla, I like both but especially flour one. We also added fajita and it was also great. The salsa station was clean and various of options. The service was also good.

Loved this place! We went earlish on a weekday which was nice because it wasnt too busy. They have a small parking lot with which we got lucky with. It was really easy to order, we just walked up and they called me with my order a few minutes later. I loaded my carne asada with flour tortilla tacos up at the salsa bar and they were truly 10/10. The red salsa had good spice and their green salsa had a nice tang. Flour tortillas were soft, carne asada was perfectly cooked. Would recommend if you're in the area.

These were so good. As soon as I saw the salsa bar I knew they were going to be good. Got the asada, cabeza, and al pastor. The refried beans are criminally underrated wow! Staff was super friendly and even gave me the hook up with extra cheese on my beans. Horchata was good in the extreme heat! If I had to rank the tacos the cabeza was the best, then the asada followed by the al pastor. Ill be back.

Went with a group of friends and tried the birria tacos. They came out hot, generously stuffed, and full of flavor. Even on a Friday evening, the wait was surprisingly short, about 2-3 minutes. Everything tasted fresh and hit the spot. I'd definitely come back and try more from the menu.

10/10! This will be one of the reasons I return to Pheonix alone. I made the mistake of order just two tacos at first because it was my first time. Not pictured here are the two I ordered to go. The service is quick and the team was kind. It's one of those spots that invites you to stay a while. There's music playing, a game on, indoor and outdoor seating. Safe to say I'll be back!

Im from Texas and these tacos were some of the best ive had in a minute. Vibes were immaculate, blasting peso pluma, of course the tacos were gonna come out absolutely delicious. When I come back to Phoenix, I will go out of my way to find this place again. P.S. get the barbacoa, you won't regret it.

Sometimes the best meals happen because your original plan falls through. That was exactly the case…read morehere, and honestly... I'm not even a little mad about it. I ordered the veggie tacos with roasted sweet potatoes (skin on, which was absolutely the right call), pepitas, feta, and all the right toppings. Whoever prepped those sweet potatoes deserves a raise because they were cut into the perfect sized pieces. Every bite had a little sweetness, a little crunch, a little saltiness... it just worked. My dining partner ordered the barbacoa tacos, and I didn't even have to ask if they were good. The involuntary "Mmm..." after the first bite answered that question. Four tacos disappeared in record time, followed by, "I could've eaten two more." That's about as glowing of a review as you're going to get. Now let's talk about these tortillas. Handmade. Corn. Tortillas. Are you kidding me? They're the kind of tortillas that had me question every tortilla I've ever eaten. Soft, fresh, and somehow they manage to steal the spotlight even with everything else on the plate being so good. The chips and guacamole were excellent, too. The chips have to be made in-house and they disappeared at an alarming rate. The salsa that came with them had this smoky, fire-roasted, chipotle flavor that kept me reaching for another chip... and then another... and then suddenly I realized I'd eaten way more chips than I intended. The bottled table salsas deserve their own paragraph because they completely confused me... in the best way. They bring three to the table... a green, a red, and a darker red. I kept tasting them individually thinking, "Okay, these are alright." Then I started mixing them. Game over. On their own, each one was solid. Mixed together? That was the magic. I don't know if that's what they intended or if I accidentally stumbled onto the perfect combination, but from that point on, every taco got the salsa trio treatment. The only tiny hiccup was when we first walked in. We were greeted, asked if we wanted menus, and sat ourselves. We waited for a bit thinking someone would come take our order, only to realize it's actually counter service. Once we figured that out, everything was smooth sailing. Not a big deal at all... just something first-time visitors might want to know. Follow the sign "order here" I also loved the layout. You can actually watch them making the food, which somehow makes the wait even harder because everything smells incredible. Two tacos ended up being the perfect light meal for me. Could I have eaten ten? Absolutely. Those two statements can both be true. Meanwhile, my dining partner polished off four barbacoa tacos and was talking about ordering two more. We only ended up here because another place happened to be closed, and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. This ended up being one of those meals we keep talked about on the drive home. Oh and the bathrooms?. I walked in and immediately thought, "Whoa... this is a cool bathroom" The lighting had this pinkish-purple glow that made me feel like I'd accidentally wandered into a trendy lounge instead of a taco shop. I honestly wasn't even sure there was regular lighting in there and I didn't look... because the vibe seemed so intentional. Finally, the music. .. upbeat, dance-worthy, the kind that had me bouncing in my seat while waiting for my food. Between the atmosphere, the lighting, and the music, the whole place had me want to hang out a little longer. Zero regrets. I'll absolutely be back... and next time I'm ordering more tacos.

Another must have My friend ordered the Aztec Cake and insisted I'd regret not getting it. She was absolutely right. It was bomb and Torrance offered us a side of chips .TY. I ordered the short rib.
