Hadn't been to Taco bravo in 20 years! Back n late 90's there used to a guy who worked there that used to tell joke and talk trash to customers he was funny and it was the place to go after clubbing in Campbell at 2am there was a line of people looking to get their grub on, tacos were $1 and beef burritos like $3 boy did I get sticker shock! If you love Tacobell like I do you'll love this place even more! It's how Tacobell used to be made, cooked and seasoned on site. And everything is fully loaded! Loads of meat and cheese on every item. This used to be my go to after leaving the bars but in my older days I still crave it. They have specials during g the week which are tostada Tuesdays and Taco Thursdays. Great spot if you're looking for some cheap and savory eats! Between the shells taco bravo is the best one. Chile verde burrito is my favorite thing on menu. I would ask for the tortilla to be a little bit warmer, there are tables outside of restaurant some in sunlight some under shade. Only one type of salsa it's mild but good. read more

Bums me out to post this review because I have been eating at Bravo since 1984, but the prices are just ridiculous at this point. Close to five bucks for one taco is nuts. I live closer to San Francisco but was recently in a wedding in Saratoga. I saw there was a Taco Bravo near where we were going and I made my husband stop here because I haven't had Taco Bravo in ages. As a side note, I was recovering from a stomach bug at the time but I was not going to miss Taco Bravo. My husband had never been but I swore that they had the best "Taco Bell" style tacos anywhere in the world. Been forever since I've eaten here, wasn't sure what to expect. Sure, it's an after-drinking destination but I went for lunch. Even on Taco Thursday the tacos are hefty compared to that other taco place, packed full of meat and cheese and not much lettuce to get in the way. An incredible deal at less than a third its regular price! The beef was well seasoned and the shells stayed crunchy the whole drive home. The bean burrito was enormous...I couldn't finish it. Should keep and reheat well. Flavor was good; needed a healthy glug of sauce though. It won't replace my sorely missed Del Taco in Campbell but I'm happy these guys are still around. First of all this place has always looked shabby - Just walking up to order feels dirty lol This place just looks like the kind of spot where someone dies from food-borne illness. I was born and raised in the area, and still reside. Never tried it before until my friend kinda forced me to try their food here. We both ordered the Nachos. The way I was watching it be prepared just gave me the feeling that these people take serious shortcuts. He Topped it off with a giant bare handed handful of that sawdust coated pre shredded cheese. We both ate our Nachos and my friend loves this garbage but to me it tasted like vegan meat does to a meat eater. Like filler. It tastes and feels in your mouth that it's like 40% mystery ingredients. It's the worst quality "food" I've ever had. It feels like it shouldn't be classified as food. It's terrible, and here is the best part - I had some of the worst stomach sickness I've ever had the next 48 hours. I texted my friend to see if it was just me, and NOPE. He also got really sick to his stomach. Everytime I drive by and see a line of people, and sometimes even around 2am it's busy...I wonder what kind of garbage their parents raised them on because no normal person should continue to eat Taco Bravo after you know what the first bite tastes like. Taco Bravo holds a special place in my heart, because it reminds me of the period in my early 20s after turning 21. One too many fun nights in downtown Campbell were capped at Taco Bravo. Now that I've grown out of my party phase though, I can honestly say that I still like Taco Bravo as much as I did back in the day. But I just came from there and it's ok that they raised their price to $1.59 per taco on Thursday but they used to taste better when they were for $1. It used to be filled with cheese. The shell held strong and the ground beef wasn't greasy & had a great flavor. Great cheese to lettuce ratio & their hot sauce is STELLAR. Got a side of sour cream & a Hi-C Orange & I was to the moon.
