This Taco Bueno had a bad rating on Yelp but our experience was good! The place was very clean, everybody was nice and friendly, the food was fast, good and a reasonably priced! My one typical complaint is the Firehouse salsa is still a bit watery and bland (wish they had multiple salsa options like Rosa's) and their guacamole isn't anything special but at least they aren't usually stingy. Hit or miss with Bueno. I used to love going here, especially the one on 277. The last time my son went at 11 pm ans there was a line. They told everyone they were closed. Their sign and website said midnight and has for many years. I called ans they said we're closed and hung up. I was livid only because their signs were where said open. I contacted corporate. They did change their signs. But the manager who answered the phone would have lost her job the way she spoke to me and to everyone at the drive through. When corporate found out and I sent photos of their signs and website, they apologized and got my addressing saying they would mail coupons. They didn't. I literally live across the parking lot...walking distance. That was 5 months ago ans I refuse to eat at a Bueno, especially that one. It sucks because I liked Bueno but it's the principle. Rudeness gets zero business from me. Ans trust me, they've messed up a lot and I've gone back. Time to just say no. Fast food is bad for you anyway. We won't be back. got my order wrong and lady taking my order was rude, was at the drive thru she gave me my food, forgot the salsa which was no problem until I tried to get her attention, she looked at me, looked away then shook her head. I just wanted some nachos and a taco as a meal, instead I got some taco bowl that was probably the worst thing I've eaten in a long time, it was like a cheap taco without any of the convenience of being a taco. As you drive around town you'll cross Taco Buenos at some point there's four of them in Abilene. What you get a a Tex-Mex meal or you can go with taco's or burritos price is fair enough. Taco bueno has always been by far my favorite. It has gotten progressively worse over the last year or so. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Was over charged. They forgot 2 burritos, 2 bags of chips the guava and sour cream on a meal. They were not nice when asked to refund the wrong items and add the missing stuff, like it was my fault, when I finally got home, the food was cold, stale and old hard broken tortillas for burritos. I won't give this restaurant any stars. I went there about a month ago, and while asking what an item was, the clerk rang it up on my ticket, I got home had a higher than I should have ticket. The food was bad , so I chalked it up to my 1st time there. Well, I just tried it again. Once again I asked how many chips were on the mexi-dip plate, so they charged me for an xtra order of chips, she never answered my question. When I got the order home, I opened the container and got the nastiest musty smell I have ever been around, and I've been working restaurants for over 40 years & never smelled food or oil fried foods that nasty. They need to tend to their equipment better than that. The chips were VERY stale, even the beans & guacamole smelled & tasted the same . The only item that tasted halfway decent was the lemonade, I don't think they can mess that up. For some reason I keep going to this location and thinking it will get better. It used to be good ... Now, not so much. I ordered a chicken potato burrito and it was the size of a party burrito. I know food prices are high but this was ridiculous. Tasted ok - all 4 bites. Biggest concern was that everything I had was SALTY. Not just a little bit but REALLY SALTY. We had ordered from this location, went to drive-thru last night and my burritos had a real thin slab of beans along with very little cheese, not to mention tastes horrible.
