First of all, I'm from Indiana, we have great tacos here. But this place was mind blowing. We got a huge chicken chipotle burrito, steak tacos (3), a fish quesadilla, 2 sodas and water for 40 bucks. Food was huge, price was perfect. They have a red salsa and green Verde salsa station you can get for free. Did I mention there 5 dollar margs?! You can eat and drink on the patio, if you're a smoker you can also smoke out there while you drink. Love the atmosphere and over all quality of the food is fantastic. Absolutely love this place. We will be back every year from now on. Definitely worth every penny. Also, our service was excellent too! Got two tacos, chicken one hot and 1 not. Over all they were ok but nothing to call come about. The coleslaw in there was tasted so kuddos. Got a child quesadilla- it was ok but a bit burnt on it. The cheese in it was congealed quickly. Chimichanga- my husband loves them but didn't like these here. Plus side steak in hg was great but the filling was small. Got a margarita- it was great! We were on this side of Clearwater Beach which is closer to the Holiday Inn, Opal Sands, JW Marriott, and Shephards Resorts so we walked here. We had been to Taco Bus back in the day when it was so popular. It's still in Clearwater Beach and St Pete Beach to name a few. We were very impressed. This is a nice spacious location with a good amount of seating inside and out. You order at the window and the food is quick. This is nice when you want to spend time at the beach and not just sitting a while at a sit down restaurant. Prices are really good and online you can request a $5 coupon which you can use once you order for the first time. I ordered the shrimp taco salad. This came with lots of good size shrimp and I had sauces on the side bc I didn't want anything spicy. Everything was so good. Happy with the shrimp count too. They did not skimp. The pineapple Agua Fresca was a perfect way to wash it down. Glad we stopped here. Definitely worth it. Awesome tacos, got 3 soft corn shell tacos with pulled chicken (my favorite), ground beef (really good), and pulled pork (second favorite). My wife got the chicken quesadilla which was also awesome. Chips and salsa were really fresh and crispy. Aside from the food, the highlight was the agua de sandia (watermelon water). So freaking delicious and refreshing. Great fast and casual taco stop. The food and drink prices were reasonable and everything came out extremely fast. And it is in a phenomenal location, so +1 for that, but yeah just very average/below average on everything else. but overall 3 stars since the manager is actually reading these. But at the end of the day, this is a 3 star taco place at best, which, absolutely serves a purpose! Cheap eats down at Clearwater beach, rare. Taco Bus is a Clearwater Beach tradition for us. It is just a little fast, casual restaurant kind of like a Chipotle but less pretentious and more umptious. Sometimes there is a line but it moves pretty fast. My husband ordered 2 carnitas tacos and I ordered a carnitas quesadilla and a frozen mango margarita. We enjoyed it all. The margaritas are only $5 and they do the trick! The food is reliably delicious. If you want some tasty Mexican food that is a couple steps up from Taco Bell or Taco Johns, check out Taco Bus! Okay so this time as mentioned in my first review I wanted to come back here and give it another chance....it is a "TACO" place so this time I got 3 Tacos and not the Burrito....the flavor was much better!!!! I got one of each type of plant offering that i didn't get last time....so Butternut Squash Taco, Vegan "Steak Strip" Taco and the Portabella Ranchero Taco all with Guacamole and Vegan Cheese.... The guy at the counter was friendly. Helpful when I asked for his recommendations. I got 3 tacos. The fish was the best, it was a fried grouper that was light and fresh. Second was the marinated pork in a hard taco shell. I would skip the hard taco shells and get the soft corn tortillas. They tasted fresh and not store-bought. The third taco I got was a Carne Asada taco, it was good, but nothing special about it. Each taco comes with pico de gallo and shredded white cheese, maybe it's mozzarella. The Carne Asada had pickled red onions, which was a nice touch. I sat outside because it was a nice day. They have indoor seating. There is an upgrade charge for the grouper and the Carne Asada.
