I really enjoyed taco bus! I think it was one of the best foods that I had in Tampa during the week long stay!! I love the freshness of the ingredients and the vegan proteins were seasoned well. It was very affordable, and the corn tortilla was delicious! Where can you find a taco for $3.50? It was a huge portion too. The salsa verde was delicious. We came in late, so I appreciate the staff for being very kind and so hospitable! It was cool that they had a bus in the restaurant. read more

I chose to eat small things such as the empanadas (super cheesy and delicious) and the Mexican street corn. The only thing is that I told the server that I wanted to sit down and eat, and they didn't serve it to me, I had to go to the counter and pick up the food. On our last night of vacation we wanted a quick dinner. We ordered 2 quesadillas and they were amazing! They were out quick and allowed us to get back to the hotel for a good nights rest before heading out. Wish I had one of these places near our hometown because it was delicious. Classic Tex-Mex restaurant with all the typical selections. Great atmosphere with the school bus as their interior motif. Food was great as fast food goes while eating with plastic silverware. Food: 2/2 After having a horrible meal at one of the local bars a few steps away, we happened to come across the Taco BUS! I'm super happy that we did! I was still hungry from not eating my food! Awesome tacos, got 3 soft corn shell tacos with pulled chicken (my favorite), ground beef (really good), and pulled pork (second favorite). My wife got the chicken quesadilla which was also awesome. Chips and salsa were really fresh and crispy. Aside from the food, the highlight was the agua de sandia (watermelon water). So freaking delicious and refreshing. Well below average for tacos and quick Mexican food. Sure they're open late and serve beers, two stars for that. And it is in a phenomenal location, so +1 for that, but yeah just very average/below average on everything else. but overall 3 stars since the manager is actually reading these. But at the end of the day, this is a 3 star taco place at best, which, absolutely serves a purpose! Cheap eats down at Clearwater beach, rare. But absolutely no more than 3 stars no way no how...I mean, especially after eating tacos on the west coast and in Mexico, Belize, and YEAH, this place quickly gets back to 2 stars on taste, but, the location and rareness make this a solid 3 star quick Mexican spot on Clearwater beach. read more

The elote was a bit challenging to eat since it was on the cob, and the sauce was a bit overpowering, but still a good choice. A perfect beach lunch stop. The staff were very friendly as well. Taco Bus is a Clearwater Beach tradition for us. It is just a little fast, casual restaurant kind of like a Chipotle but less pretentious and more umptious. Sometimes there is a line but it moves pretty fast. My husband ordered 2 carnitas tacos and I ordered a carnitas quesadilla and a frozen mango margarita. We enjoyed it all. The margaritas are only $5 and they do the trick! The food is reliably delicious. If you want some tasty Mexican food that is a couple steps up from Taco Bell or Taco Johns, check out Taco Bus! PS they have Violife vegan cheese (in my opinion the best vegan cheese option) so even if you don't eat dairy, you can still enjoy a yummy quesadilla!) read more

Okay so this time as mentioned in my first review I wanted to come back here and give it another chance....it is a "TACO" place so this time I got 3 Tacos and not the Burrito....the flavor was much better!!!! I got one of each type of plant offering that i didn't get last time....so Butternut Squash Taco, Vegan "Steak Strip" Taco and the Portabella Ranchero Taco all with Guacamole and Vegan Cheese.... I will now give this place 5 Stars....Service is commendable.... The guy at the counter was friendly. Helpful when I asked for his recommendations. I got 3 tacos. The fish was the best, it was a fried grouper that was light and fresh. Second was the marinated pork in a hard taco shell. I would skip the hard taco shells and get the soft corn tortillas. They tasted fresh and not store-bought. The third taco I got was a Carne Asada taco, it was good, but nothing special about it. Each taco comes with pico de gallo and shredded white cheese, maybe it's mozzarella. The Carne Asada had pickled red onions, which was a nice touch. I sat outside because it was a nice day. They have indoor seating. There is an upgrade charge for the grouper and the Carne Asada. The prices were reasonable three tacos for 9.99. You know it's a good spot when you see locals eating here. I would come back. read more

Nice casual Mexican restaurant that is very vegetarian friendly. Every dish allows you to "choose your protein", and Taco Bus gives you four options: mushrooms, vegan steak, plant protein (tofu), and butternut squash. We ordered the tacos with mushrooms and the chimichanga with tofu. Both were tasty and filling. There are sauces and hot sauce to add if you want (I did and it enhanced the food). The chimichanga included Mexican rice, which the manager assured me was also vegetarian (most have chicken stock). So, overall, for an order-at-the-counter place, a good place to eat and vegetarian friendly. read more

First, let me start by saying the photos I've attached do NOT do these tacos justice. The tacos at this place taste amazing! I'm a creature of habit, so I went with the hard shell filled with ground beef, cheese, and pico de gallo, topped with some sour cream. These are easily in the top 3 taco places I've ever tried. I Just had one of the best Taco's I've ever had. Passed by here while taking a walk for lunch and decided to stop in. I wasn't too hungry but figured a Taco would scratch that itch. Oh man, as soon as I saw the name I knew I was in! This place was amazing. Super fast, we upgraded to grouper and it was crunchy and fresh... I'm drooling now. This caught my son eyes when we walked past it our first day in Clearwater. It was just down the street from our hotel. Had a great atmosphere and the food selections were fantastic. I'm originally from NY, and I visited Clearwater about a year ago. I loved finding this taco spot. I mean who doesnt love tacos?? Prices are extremely reasonable and the portions are generous. I love that they offer vegan/vegetarian options because a lot of Mexican restaurants don't usually offer many veggie options. The food is delicious and the wait time is minimal. If you're in the area and spent an entire day laying out at the beach and are starving from being in the sun all day... this is the place to get your belly filled! They have a large drink menu and they have Spanish desserts available as well. If I'm ever in the area, this is definitely a place I would come back to. And of course I'm back a year later and decided to come again! The food is fried and fresh lol! Do yourself a favor and try it! read more

Torn between two tempting options, I went with my server's recommendation--the seafood chimi--and it was absolutely the right call. The chimi was delicious and generously packed with shrimp and hearty chunks of fish. The accompanying guacamole had a distinctive smoky note that set it apart. It may be the best guacamole I've ever had. My drink, the Big Bad Piña Colada (non‑alcoholic), arrived in a pineapple and was as fun as it was flavorful. Sipping it while watching the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico made the evening feel almost cinematic. Service was attentive and friendly, and the live band added to the atmosphere. The lead singer was having such a great time performing White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane that she sang it twice in a row, and the crowd loved it. Bad Fins delivered excellent food, great service, and a memorable experience. I will be back.
