I used to love coming to this place specially they used to open really late till like 130 or 2 AM after the club loved it. They still have the best grilled chicken burrito or tostada. Wanted to try a new place and stumbled upon this taco shop. The service was very fast and food tasted good. The carne asada was very tender and tasty. The deluxe carne asada quesadilla I ordered came with guacamole and sour cream on the side. I ordered to go and I was a bit disappointed when I opened the styrofoam box and the sour cream was a little runny and on my quesadilla which made it a bit soggy. We stopped here to get some late night food after I traveled for work today. The place is always clean and the staff is always customer service oriented. We ordered a Daily Special # 7 (1 tostada, 1 taco, & 2 Rolled tacos) and a Pollo Asada Burrito. We got home and started to eat. The pollo asada burrito had salsa fresca and guacamole and was good. Unfortunately, my 2 rolled tacos were not good. The meat inside was spoiled and the taste was super obvious. The tostada & taco were OK. I called them to let them know that the rolled tacos meat was bad, so that they would not serve that batch (probably frozen), to someone else. This is a great place to eat, and sometimes these things happen, so the right thing to do is to let them know that your food is not good. We will still try them out again. read more

I honestly love this place when it comes to rolled tacos!!! I come in here every now and then when I am craving rolled tacos.. They are SO YUMMY AND FRESH. This is the only place I will get rolled tacos from. I know it's on the bland side, but when you eat it with hot sauce, it tastes just right! Crunchy and fresh tasting. I LOVE IT. My absolute favorite taco shop. It's cheaper than the other 2 nearby taco shops and way better flavor. With inflation, everything is going up, and eating out is becoming a luxury. So when I have the chance to spend some money on a good meal I go here. Everything always tastes fresh, and the workers are very accommodating. It's been around for over 20 years and is a staple in our neighborhood. Family owned business aren't perfect, but they always try to make things right. But tonight i decided to eat light, so I ordered beam and rice burrito ($7.70 w tax), and they gave me the smallest burrito in San Diego. It reminded me of a Taco Bell bean and cheese burrito. I looked at it, and was close to getting a refund. I even told cashier, "Wow! The burritos are getting smaller!" I was close to throwing it against the wall and getting arrested as a jail burrito may be bigger and more tasty. Lol! Jk! But this is the last time I come to this place. I gave two stars because I'm sure other food in the menu has bigger portions, but to spend $12+ on a burrito that is not. The usual size of a SAN DIEGO burrito is ridiculous. I stumbled on this shopping complex because of work. After a 1.5 hour commute from Orange County, I was ready to throw down some food. Being that I was in San Diego, I decided to get some Tacos. I walked into this place and I immediately notice how clean it was. It was weird seeing a "hole-in-the-wall", mom-and-pop taco joint this clean. I went up to the counter and decided to go with the California Burrito (yae, i know... super authentic mexican food) and washed it down with a horchata. The food came out quick and it was piping hot. It wasn't the biggest burrito I've seen, but size doesn't matter. It was tasty. The burrito was packed with seasoned fries, salsa, and chunks of carne asada. The toppings were stuffed in this homemade, warm, and flaky tortilla. My only compliant was the food was so fresh and hot that I couldn't scarf it down quickly enough. My wife and I used to come to this location but we moved a year or so ago. We were visiting relatives and decided to go in. First we tried to call in and no one would answer the phone (this will come into play later) so we decided to go in and order. We expected it to be busy because no one would answer but there was literally no one there. We ordered for 5 people and it was just under $55. We sat and waited for 30 minutes while everyone else got their orders called out. My wife went to check and the girl at the counter said ours had been ready for 20 minutes she thought it was a phone order... the same phone they wouldn't answer. We told her we'd been sitting there and now our food was going to be cold at which point SHE offered to have our order remade. We said ok and then she went in the back. As my wife and I waited we saw that she got one of the cooks to come out and look at us and then she came and told us they weren't going to remake it. We could take it or get our money back. She then asked for our receipt and gave us our money back. And then gave my wife the receipt back and then immediately snatched it out of her hand. The fact that the cook had to see who's food was going to be remade and the saying no when he saw us was completely ridiculous, like what was it about us that made him decide he couldn't remake it? I have never been more disrespected trying to order food at a taco shop. We will never be back, my wife has been going there for her whole life with her parents. read more
