The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, colorful and super clean!! Our dishes were from the lunch menu. I had the shredded chicken taco salad and my husband had the caldo de pollo. The atmosphere was great. However, the server was slow to take our order, and it took over an hour to get our food. We had shrimp tacos, and the shrimp was cut up into pieces rather than whole shrimp, as the menu showed. The beans and rice were good. When we were done, I ended up having to go to the cashier because our server never brought our bill. We won't be going back. read more

My first time here. Everything was dirty from the 12 page menu, the tables, and the walls. The service was very slow but the staff were nice. The steak tacos I got were weird and not good. They were only $1.99 but they were not even worth that. What got me was the fact that sodas are $5! The prices are pretty outrageous when you aren't ordering off the weekly specials menu. Save yourself a trip. It's expensive for the quality of food. There are plenty of good Mexican restaurants to eat at. This one sadly is not. read more

Ordered a ground beef à la cart chimichanga for lunch. The dish came with about a tablespoon of sour cream and a tablespoon of avocado on the side. There was no sauce no cheese on top or inside the chimichanga. It was a dry piece of shoe leather. When I questioned the wait person, she said oh yes that's how they come. I should have told you when you ordered. When the bill came I was charged $11.99 for the chimichanga and an additional $1.99 for them to fry the "burrito. Again, I asked the wait staff if this was correct and she said oh yes I should've told you that when you ordered. The restaurant made no attempt to "make it right" even tho the fault certainly fell on the wait staff in my opinion. read more

We stopped in not long after Taco Grio took over the Elvira's Mexican Restaurant. The furnishings are the same, but that's about it! The menu has lots of options and caters to just about anyone who stops in. We were there for lunch, but plan on going back soon for breakfast! The service was great. We were seated and placed our order within the first 10 minutes of arrival. The food was very flavorful, good portions and looked beautiful as well. Our only suggestion for improving our meals is if they offered more pork options. Everything is beef, chicken or cheese. There are no pork tacos, pork enchiladas, etc. read more

great food and really good service. what more can you ask? we (2 couples came for dinner and margaritas. we all tried different dinners as this was our first time since the new owners. we all loved our meals and the service was terrific i decided to try their breakfast this morning. i had their huevos rancheros special with rice and beans. even comes with choice of flour or corn tortilla and a small green salad. it was as good as i've ever had. i'll be back every wednesday for this! read more

Did a lot of waiting for our waitress, which made it very difficult. We were provided several wrong items, which could have easily been rectified by our waitress coming back around, but instead we had to go to the front and ask for the items. We continued to wait to find out the person at the front had not asked for the items to be made nor our last items to come. We then had to ask again. We continued to wait so long that someone cleaning off our table asked if he should get the waitress. We also would have really liked to have a refill. Sad because the food was good, but probably won't come here again. We were still charged for the wrong items lol read more

Went to a late lunch with my mother in law today and our server was fantastic. Food was amazing!!! However after our meal we were just chatting, catching up etc. The restaurant was not busy at all....this woman who may have been the owner? Was absolutely aggressive. Late 50's? Long braid gray and black hair. She made us feel so incredibly uncomfortable while catching up. Don't know if we would go back and don't know I would recommend based on this experience. read more
