Chile verde, chicken and pastor taco plate
    Patsy C.

This little place did not disappoint! We were driving home and wanted tacos, fast and easy. We each got a 3 taco meal and the beans were delish, rice was nice. I got the chile verde (a little spicy), chicken and pastor. I loved the chile verde! My gut got 3 asada tacos and said they were tasty! We'll be back next time we run through Bakersfield! Service was exceptional and the owner (I believe) let us try their fresh made tortillas with cheese just to try them. The inside is super clean! Yummmm...

We stopped in for a quick lunch and grabbed a few tacos on Taco Tuesday! The meat is great quality and so well seasoned! They are quite generous with the meat and garnishes. I also switched my tortillas to flour rather than corn. Though the tortillas weren't homemade, they were warmed up well. Service was quick and friendly and there's plenty of space to eat!

    It was my lucky day!

Staying at a nearby hotel and this seemed like the best (maybe only) restaurant in the area so I stopped in. It is located in a gas station store front so I wasn't expecting much. The folks inside were very friendly and my carne Asada tacos were made fresh right in front of me. It just happened to be "taco Tuesday" so I got three and was not at all disappointed. Authentic to the core and no regrets here. Caution: i'm not sure if every day their tacos are served on 4 inch tortilla shells, but I can tell you tonight on taco Tuesday they were. So if you have a strong appetite, definitely want to factor that in.

I decided to try this place on taco Tuesday. They have 1.70 tacos on Tuesdays. I ordered three tacos, pastor, carne asada & carnitas. The corn tortillas were fresh, the carne asada and the pastor were both very good. The carnitas were extremely dry, I couldn't even chew them. They do give you plenty of meat on the tacos. The salsa is prepackaged but tasty. They charge $4.50 for their fountain drinks, way too much in my opinion. The restaurant is nice and clean and decorated nicely. The bathrooms are clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. I will go back and try some other items. Hopefully the carnitas will improve and they will lower the price of their fountain drinks, they charge almost as much for them as they do their bottled beer.

Stopped by Taco House for lunch and overall had a pretty decent experience. The asada was tasty and seasoned just right, which is always a win. You can tell they know how to get the flavor right. The service was super friendly, everyone was nice, and the lady even brought me a complimentary tostada, which was a really cool and appreciated touch. The tostada itself was good and definitely a nice bonus. The place itself is pretty basic and average, nothing fancy, just simple dining, clean, and straight to the point. Overall, good food, great people, and a solid spot for a casual bite. Not mind-blowing, but definitely respectable. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 and would come back when I'm in the mood for something simple and convenient.

Mulitas; one beef , one pork.

Owners are so proud to share that their food is fresh and made from scratch. One recipe is from the owner's grandmother. The mulitas were delicious. I just wish they were more filling. My friend ordered the watermelon water her favorite. She ordered frijoles and said they were very good. She had shrimp tacos with corn tortillas and wished she had been offered corn tortillas. She didn't care for the breading on the shrimp. That's because she prefers grilled shrimp.

Service was spot on. Loved the tacos, tried chili verde-chicken-carne asada. All were grilled and made fresh. Owner (I think) made sure I had toppings and salsa. I even got a little tostada with refried beans (gratis) which was delicious. 4 stars instead of 5 mainly becuase of the nacho cheese dispenser, prepacked salsa. When I went it was slow so I hope they find their audience soon and make it. Inside was clean and restrooms spotless.

Take out, chicken, asada, and corn quesadillas one with chili verde and one with chicken. Pot beans and rice.

I'm just really in search of a good taco place, like always. I mean now that I can't even think about eating gluten and dairy is a no-no, tacos are a go-go! I decided to stop in after a quick Costco run. Then get take out, no cooking tonight! First, the staff is so nice, they make you feel welcomed and that's so rare in a fast-service restaurant. They recommended some items and I got to ordering. The chili verde is new on the menu, so I got that. Plus some chicken and beef tacos. Yum! The chili verde was so good, not fatty and in smaller chunks. I got it in a corn tortilla quesadilla. Delish! The tacos are good and have plenty of protein, then there's an area to add onions, cilantro, and grab salsa. Perfect! The pot beans were really good! And the rice too. What makes this five stars for me is the combination of great food and service. You can order online and pick up, the dining are is also large enough for a big group. They also have a taco Tuesday special! Order through clover: https://www.clover.com/online-ordering/taco-house-inc-bakersfield?employee_id=GC0MEJPHJMSW8&order_type=dine_in I recommend the chili verde and chicken tacos.

Little bean tostada the owner brings out to you for your first time in the establishment. Super nice of her to do that!
    DeAndre K.

Overall experience excellent! Right as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a warm smile and how am I doing today! I had no idea what to order since it was my first time in the establishment. The nice lady at the register suggested some options, turns to find out I was speaking with the owner! That was a plus. I ordered 4 chicken tacos, a chicken quesadilla and to drink an Horchata. Price ran me about $32.00 dollars. Crazy thing is they don't let you tip! Food was great, chicken was tender and to be honest it was more on the healthier side of mexican food. 5 stars, will definitely be back!

    Asada tacos, yummy salsa.

First time here, decent tacos, loved the red and green salsa. Will be back to try something else.

Wonderful service. Wonderful food, great prices too. I had never had a mulita before .... Holy heck it's like if a taco and a quesadilla had a baby and it's SO good. And you get two of them in an order (a lot of food). They also have tacos for $1.70 on Tuesdays and they are so simple and delish. I like the green salsa also. Still need to try breakfast items. This place looks like it's a part of the gas station but it is not. The owners are also very kind people and have paid the vet bills for one of the unhoused individuals nearby's sweet (and very friendly) pitbull. Good people, good service and delish food. I keep coming back.

Carne asada, quesabirria, al pastor tacos
    Cherie D.

Was in town and thought I'd check this place out. Came on a Tuesday which is taco Tuesday. Talk about awesome. 1.70 tacos. Sign me up. Absolutely delicious tacos. Tried the quesabitria, carne asada, al pastor and chicken not shown. Everything had great flavor. Only thing I wasn't a fan of is the Individual plastic containers for toppings. It's a lot of excess plastic for the landfill. Customer service was good. Owners were super friendly. Next time in town will definitely check out again.

As I was walking I saw the sign for this place and was happy I did because my other coffee options were a fast food restaurant or the famous coffee chain. It was a bit confusing to locate. It was tucked away in the back of a commercial office space type building. Once inside the place was very clean and organized. Very minimalist design. I was only one of 4 total people inside. My order was taken quickly. I ordered an iced americano with a ham and cheese turnover. Coffee was on point. No notes. No complaints. The pastry however was not good. They asked me if I wanted it heated up. I said I did. I saw her put it in the microwave, and I assumed they turned it on. When I bit into it (I had already left and walked across the street) it was cold. Like cold cold. On top of that it was flavorless which made it worse. Stick to the coffee or make sure you check the temp of the food prior to leaving.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. I ordered a lavender latte with oat milk, and it was flavorful but not overly sweet. The food menu is small, with a few baked goods available. As a vegan, the only option I found was instant oatmeal with a selection of dried fruit and nuts to mix in. While I appreciated having a vegan option, I would love to see a few more plant-based choices added to the menu. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would definitely return for the coffee and the comfortable space to meet with friends.

Food-wise, the Peruvian grilled cheese sandwich was flavorful and well made, but I'd recommend asking for the sauce on the side unless you enjoy a messy sandwich. The ham and cheese croffel had great flavor, but it was a little light on the ham and cheese. I think the cropples are better suited in the sweet variety as they seem small incompressants to a ham and cheese croissant someone would purchase for about half that price. In my opinion, it was more of a kid's snack than a meal and not quite worth the price, if you're actually hungry I would go with something else off the menu. Everything was made fresh , you must be patient here , perfection can be slower than your metabolism, so dont go there hangry. During my visit, Hector explained that he envisions Uncharted Adventures as a gathering place for the community. The business frequently hosts weekend vendor markets and local running clubs. Hector also shared he was creating a dedicated Memorial Day wall honoring local veterans, first responders, and teachers, while also working on an outdoor eating area. It's always great to see a Hector and Chris, and the new Adventures they take on.
