PROBABLY THE BEST STARBUCKS I'VE EVER BEEN TO!! All the baristas I talked to were super kind. They greeted every single person who walked in enthusiastically. Staff was constantly cleaning so everything was more or less clean. They were also very kind when I accidentally took someone else's drink. They made lighthearted jokes that really elevated my boyfriend and my moods (we had been driving for hours and decided to stop here). As for the drink, I got the passion tango tea with no sugar. I don't like overly sweet drinks so it was perfect! Citrusy but not overwhelmingly sweet. If you're looking for your usual Starbucks fix but with superb customer service, this is the spot! I can't help but to notice that a lot of the negative reviews reflect the way drinks are supposed to be prepared (ex: lots of ice) rather than the taste and customer service. I arrived right on time, and although my drink was ready, it didn't look--or taste--anything like coffee. I ordered an Iced Americano with a shot of macchiato and 2% milk, but what I received was basically warm, murky water with no ice. It had a strange, unpleasant taste and looked like blurry fish tank water. I ended up throwing it away immediately after leaving. To make matters worse, the staff were spraying cleaning chemicals on the glass surfaces while customers were standing nearby, and some people even got splashed in the face. There was no greeting, no smile, and almost no customers inside. The whole atmosphere felt off, and honestly, I'm not surprised this location only has around three stars. This is for Kaley (or Haley...I didn't hear her name very well in the drive thru) because she noticed me looking at my iced green tea with suspicion so she asked me if it was okay. I asked for light ice as I always do for my iced teas, but the cup looked like it had the standard amount they would usually put in. She noticed it too so she went out of her way to make me a new one. Ugh, SO SWEET. As I was waiting for her, the other baristas looked annoyed. Like, I get it. A few more pieces of ice isn't going to kill me, but it's the fact that I requested light ice, and that tiny detail couldn't be achieved the first time around. Super convenient...Right by the on ramp to the 99 and close to Milt's. The drive thru is busy, even at 10:00 pm when you'd think that folks wouldn't be partaking in caffeinated beverages. I don't mind waiting. It's cold outside! And I can check my emails and see what my yelp friends are up to .... The people who work here are super helpful. I explained what I wanted (green tea) and in great and helpful detail the differences were presented. I LOVE their Taverna green mint hot tea! It smells lovely and now get that each time I go to Starbucks... I wish they had unsweetened almond milk in addition to soy milk like Whole Foods Or I might consider going back to cafe lattes. The dark chocolate almonds are expensive but heavenly. One of the smartest things I did last month was buy one of those tumblers for myself (and a friend at work who goes to star bucks everyday before work) that allows you to get a free beverage everyday in the month of January! Today around 5:40 PM I went throught the drive-thru. Ordered a Pumpkin Spice (decaf / non-fat) and a Regular Coffee. At the window, I paid, I was almost immediately handed the Pumpkin Spice (decaf / non-fat), but then was told to park in the parking lot to wait for a Regular Coffee to brew. (Unfortunately this is not a safe area. I'm in a vehicle that attracts attention so parking in that area is the last thing I want to do without having extra time and personal protection). I patiently waited. Minutes. Nothing. 3 cars through the drive-thru later, I put in a movie in my vehicle still waiting. The DVD started up, I watched the FBI warning , intro credits, and by that time another car went through the drive-thru. I was done waiting. I left without receiving a coffee. I let them keep the money. If it's that hard, I would rather just donate to Starbucks to help them purchase better coffee making equipment. Maybe the employees do not like me. Maybe ordering coffee at Starbucks is something of the past and ordering it makes me a target for frustration. Maybe I'm a dinosaur still drinking regular coffee. It's all fine to want to hurry and give other patrons their drinks. But at some point, it's just straight offensive and discrimnative business practices to assist multiple customers ahead of the first customer. It made me so mad, I added this Starbucks to Yelp and left this review. I attend this Starbucks location regularly, and the employees there are so kind, and polite, and kind to their costumers. Unfortunately tonight I walked in at 8:10, and received a dirty look from the cashier, who rolled her eyes at me and a friend with me. I ordered, and then my friend ordered, as we waited for our coffees, another person comes in and is looking for coffee, she was rolling her eyes at this man as he walked up to her to order. Not only was she extremely rude to me, and my friend, but to this man too. After we got our coffee we said thank you, and I made eye contact with her and smiled, but she mocked us, making faces at us, and mouthing "thank you" while laughing with another employee. I have never experienced that from any employee from Starbucks, and I hope I never will again. I hope that Vanessa (the rude employee) has a great rest of her night, and that Vanessa will be kind and respectful to her customers in the future, if she still has a job. read more

Finally remodeled this location and I went inside and couldn't really see what the difference was?? Only that I drove out of my way to use this location and it was closed for remodeling..... Grrrr. Otherwise I can't say I've ever had a burnt shot here or had a rude Barrista. The line in the drive thru is never too bad but this parking lot can be tricky to get out of due to the busy intersection it sets on. BEWARE This particular visit I ordered a iced Carmel macchiato with whole milk and they made it just right. Very perfectly made and it hit the spot. Not a long wait I went inside, I try not to use drive thrus, helps with those calories. The store was clean and as I said I really didn't notice a difference inside for the remodeling job. read more

This starbucks has continually messed up drinks that me and my wife order. And not only just a little messed up, they completely make the wrong drink and add the completely wrong flavorings. I used to be a Starbucks barista and I can attest that it is very difficult to mess up a drink as bad as this starbucks does. My wife orders a sweetend guava black tea, and a pink drink with an extra splash of strawberry acai and on the guava black tea you can clearly taste that they added peach flavoring and on the pink drink they added pineapple. The order sticker on the guava black tea also says that she asked for no sweetener. I don't know what they are doing in that starbucks to mess up simple orders this bad but they need to have a talk with everyone in there and they need to get their act together especially when it come to making their iced teas. read more

Stopped here this afternoon on the way home from Sequoia back to Simi Valley. This seemed to be a good time on the trip home for the last coffee to last me for the last 90 minutes or so of the drive. My nonfat latte was just way too hot!! We had this filled in our travel cups, so maybe it would have cooled quicker in their paper cups. But still, I didn't take my first sip until 15 minutes after ordering and almost spilled the drink in my car as it burned my lip. I tried another sip another 15 minutes later, still really hot. Long story short on the coffee, by the time I arrived home, the cup is still nearly full as it retained the heat for so long. When I make cafe lattes at home on my espresso machine, I don't go past 140 degrees. This one was significantly hotter. Too hot! Also picked up a veggie bean wrap. A bit on the sticky side as for as the tortilla goes. A bit disappointed that I wasn't able to enjoy my coffee on the ride home. read more

I've only been inside this Starbucks 2 or 3 times, so I am rating them mostly on their drive-through service. I love Starbucks. I love Starbucks coffee. I love Starbucks pastries. I love Starbucks sandwiches. I love Starbucks (Teavana) teas. This location is one of my favorites because of its location right next to the freeway (easy off/easy on) and the efficiency of their drive though. It seems like even when the drive through line goes out of the parking lot and onto the street they still manage to get us through at a much faster pace than some of the other locations in the Northwest. And I have never once received a drink that was made incorrectly or had burnt shots. The food is always hot when you want it to be and room temperature when you want it to be. Honestly, I can't think of a single thing wrong with this location. Let's hear it for truly legendary service in the Starbucks tradition! read more

I love this location. I usually go through the drive through but I finally got to study for a bit inside. It was not too packed and had more space than expected. I also think the reason for that is that there are no schools surrounded. The drive through is what seems to be the most busy part at any time. It's right off the freeway so case proven.
