We really enjoyed this authentic and delicious Mexican restaurant. I ordered the avocado quesadilla and it was so fresh tasting, plus the dinner portion was so big I had leftovers to enjoy the next day. I also tried the cheese dip (queso) which was not a white cheese but still had a yummy peppery flavor. My boyfriend mentioned that he wished the salsa was chunkier but we both still enjoyed the taste. We will definitely be back! read more

But the ground beef taco was perfection. I picked the shrimp out of the shrimp taco. My absolute favorite item was the rice. Yes, rice. Authentic Mexican food. I normally order it for takeout because it's very small but there are seats if you choose to eat in.

After reading a review on yelp, I decided to give it a try. I was looking for a new Mexican restaurant and the food was pretty. Good. I only dropped one star because the on-line ordering process was a bit messed up. It seemed to take quite a while before they received the order. They actually called me when my husband showed up to pick up the phantom order. The lady on the phone was very helpful and once they received the actual order, they took care of us very quickly. My only complaint would be the refried beans, which definitely came out of a can, not real pinto beans. The food is absolutely spectacular, some of the best I've ever had. Everything about it. I just wish they served margaritas.

Yelp usually doesn't steer me wrong, but I was not impressed with this place. It is a small hole in the wall mom and pop type shop which I usually seek out and thrive on. These usually have flavors on point, good service, great prices and are low key. This misses on most of those. It is in a strip mall and has a small seating area. Menu: It has plates and tacos, with a good menu overall. To say they have Tex-Mex is a giant stretch and mostly just wrong. Any Tex-Mex place starts you off with corn chips and at least one salsa that is usually tomato based and spicy. Here they give you what appears to be pita chips and a couple of little sauces. One is a garlicy sauce and the other is a vinegar and tomato mix. Neither are at all spicy or good. Kinda odd would be the best description. Food: I ordered the pork salsa Verde and a Negra Modello beer. Stewed pork in a Verde (semi spicy green sauce) with rice, beans, a dab of sour cream, and a dab of guacamole. It came with tortillas. I was asked if I wanted corn or flour. I asked for a mix and was told no. Okey dokey just give me flour. The salsa Verde was great and flavorful (much more so than the sauces at the beginning) The pork was tender and tasty. My issue was this: There was 8 solid ounces of stewed pork on the place, which is great, but at least 2 ounces of it was nothing but solid hunks of fat, which isn't. Come on man you can't serve it like that... Otherwise the meal was enjoyable. Service: I give mom and pop places a lot of cushion, but here the service was terrible. I got my beer and never got water. No biggie but it took 20 minutes to get my food. I never was asked if I wanted another beer which I finished right after the food showed up and they weren't around to flag down. Add that to the no mix of tortillas and you get a crappy rating. All in all I would give the food 3 stars and everything else 1 which settles on 2 stars. This place is very over rated on yelp and in my opinion not authentic for tex-mex. May be a great place for take out tacos to take home, but it isn't for come in and sit for a meal. read more

This is what I call a "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant and it is SUPER GOOD! 2 tables to sit outside and like 5 more inside so it's pretty small, and place is always busy! However, I highly recommend and the prices are super good! Portions are big as well, you will not be disappointed. Just a great place for tacos to go! I drove in from Nashville and had an overnight stay at a nearby Marriott. I had eaten tacos here before and couldn't wait to get back with an over abundance of 20 for us. They don't sell beer but the gas station does so you can have one in the parking lot while waiting for the food to be cooked. Ordered Delivery, Mexican style chicken, shrimp & avocado tacos. The place called me to make sure I knew Mexican style was corn soft shell with just cilantro and onions, bet people freak out they don't get the stuff you'd get if you ordered American style . I appreciated the call. Food was fabulous great tacos, beans were ok and rice rocked as did the salsas. Authentic Mexican and I know, I am a retired resort executive chef and have enjoyed some great south of the boarder culinary delights whipped up by my Latina chefs.
