Awful service. Waited 20 minutes before our server greeted us. Took an hour for our server to take our order and another hour to get our food. On top of literally everything being wrong. She kept disappearing and we couldn't get any refills or sauces. Was not a great experience. read more

First and foremost this is a great place, we frequent the McDonald's location at least three times a week when Chelsea is bartending or any of the other bartenders is bartending it's a great establishment they welcome you they speak to you they serve you. Today my experience in this location was horrible sit there for 10 minutes with the snooty bartender they won't even look up at acknowledge you're sitting there without a drink. I sit down and location for me and my wife she comes in snatches the menu out from in front of where my wife is sitting in the hands of somebody else as if my wife wasn't using that menu we order food every time we're in there when I confronted her about it and her snooty attitude she informs me that somebody else want to menu my wife just gone to the restroom to wash her hands prior to ordering her food to eat as we do every time we're at this location. I can say after the experience today I will never be back in another taco Mac.its a very sad thing to see this treatment to us or anybody else. We know this is NOT THE SERVICE THE STRIVE FOR. If this is the way they allow there customers to be treated our suggestion is not to go. My family and I like coming to this restaurant on the weekend to enjoy the breeze outside and our food. If you love beer, this is the place for you! This place is the worst. I called ahead with a party of 30 coming from a soccer tournament and was told that even though they don't take reservations that we would be accommodated. We arrived at 7:45 and are told they were setting up our table. We could see a large party being set up on the main dining room floor. After 15 minutes we go to check in and see another party seated at the table set for us. My daughter and I tried out Taco Mac one Saturday afternoon after doing some shopping. We were seated immediately and our server was prompt. We tried the wings and fries, and they had pretty good flavor. The only drawback was that I asked for crispy wings and they weren't quite what I expected. Overall, our visit was pretty good. I have given this place four opportunities to get it right and they just can't seem to do it. The food is good and how can you screw up beer. But it's the service and attitude that ruins every visit. Sometimes the servers try but don't get support from the kitchen. Other times they just don't seem to care. They act like they are supportive of everything local but I couldn't even watch the Braves game on two occasions. I asked to watch it on one of their forty televisions and they couldn't figure it out. No explanation. Seems like support for the local team shouldn't have to be asked for. The first three visits resulted in talks with the manager. Don't think I'll even waste my time tonight. Just cut my losses and try another establishment next time. read more

Always enjoyed a Taco Mac restaurant until we went into this one. Ordered a picture of Mic Ultra and not sure what they brought us but that wasn't it. We asked for 30 wings and our slow waitress brought them in like 5 minutes which was weird and said "I know these are small so we're gonna give you 10 more" when I picked one up it was hard and barely warm . Obviously they had been sitting out for a while probably returned by another customer for being too small cause they were the smallest wings I've ever seen. We have been to this Taco Mac a number of times and have always had pretty good service; however, tonight we had the best service we've ever had. In fact, our waiter may be the best we've had anywhere. Darius was so kind and attentive. Our drinks stayed topped off, he consistently checked to see if we needed anything and let me say again.... he was just kind and pleasant. It made our visit so enjoyable. If you go to Taco Mac, see if Darius s working. . (Just FYI... I don't know Darius or anyone that works at this restaurant.... we just felt compelled to write this review because we were so impressed with him as a waiter.). read more

I like it enough. The service is 95% good. The food is typical American/Sports bar stuff, it's tasty, and comes in copious portions.

I have been visiting this location for years now but my last visit was by far the worst. We arrived at 8:45 ...We waited an hour to receive a table . We were seated by the manager so that was a red flag in my mind. We sit down it takes the original waitress of the table at least 10 min to come greet us. She took our drink order and food order at the same time cause we were sitting long enough to know what we wanted. We only ordered a 30 piece chicken and 4 fries ....We even ordered an appetizer. It was another 15 min before we received our drinks an they were fountain drinks an horrible so we sent those back an asked for water . By this time the appetizer has arrived. We have eaten the appetizer I noticed the tables around us still haven't received food and they were there before us by this time it's 11:30pm , I finally call the manager over like hey we have been waiting for over an hour and half no food has came an the waitress haven't provided an update. Came with my family and the woman who seated us was nice and polite, everything was going great until our waitress came to take our order, she was a tiny Asian woman with a bad attitude! I really like taco Mac and the seemingly endless taps but the one in McDonough has been open for about 2 years. Been here a hundred times. Im guessing it's been a steady decline since opening day. Waited 10 minutes tonight on someone to seat us and finally picked a table on our own. Several minutes later we were scolded for seating ourselves. By the way - at least 20 tables are empty. Our waitress is great. But she stands at the bar for several minutes waiting for bar tenders to pour a draft beer. Not sure what will open in this location next. read more

The wings were undercooked and under seasoned. At least 4 to 5 of them were still flapping. The ones that I did eat, I could barely taste anything on them. The fries were fine. The wings were recommended by one of the waiters. Their sauces range from the light side to hot. I had the ginger sesame and habanero bbq which were both tasty. I found the bartenders to be less than friendly and not attentive to refills. I could also hear that they were out of several drink options. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. As a business owner I believe that you should always acknowledge good service publicly. When you think of good service, a chain restaurant usually doesn't come to mind. However Taco Mac exceeds expectations ever time. Chris and I became regulars during the Hockey finals. The manager always made sure we had the table in front of the big screen wall and that the Preds were on with full volume as soon as the game started. (You have to remember, this is not a hockey town OR Nashville) During that time, Taco Mac was brand new and experiencing the usual growing pains a newly opened restaurant goes through. If your ever worked in food service you know what I'm talking about. Even with that, the good was and continues to be great... every time. Consistently great. The management team is on point. We've gotten to know a few of them and they always make their way over to say hi. The place is loud and busy and perfect as we are a loud and busy family. My kids love it. We love it for a night without the kids. If we are there to watch a game, we let the waitress know that we will be there all night and to just check on us from time to time and even with that said, I've never had an empty glass (isn't that the true measure of a great server?) We've become acquaintances with a server (now manager) that actually has never waited on us but always seeks us out to say hi. She's moved up to management and was excited to let us know. (She really couldn't be more adorable, so that makes me feel old.. lol) My point is that McDonough is FLOODED with restaurants that are just restaurants. Nothing special, familiar faces. However, Taco Mac has hit gold with their new location and made it a "neighborhood place" in a neighborhood saturated with just "places" Keep up the good work and we will keep coming back! read more

I asked why the service was slow, answer was keg change. Server would only ask if thi gs were okay right as i was taking a bite. Server training needs to address this. I have been visiting T-Macs for quite a while now, enjoy the ever changing beer selection and the atmosphere. They do hit the mark on atmosphere here with more tv's than you can watch, service was good even with a new server working our table. I would give this part of the experience 5 stars. The kitchen on the other hand was a 1 - 1 1/2, ordered a small cheese dip as an appetizer. The tortilla chips boarded on burnt and the soft shells were not, the only soft portion was the very center. My wife ordered a flatbread pizza and I had the wings, wings were good but did ask for extra crispy and they were not. Her pizza was a undercooked and so soggy it could not be picked up by hand, it also had so much Basil on top is looked like the lid came off the shaker. After working in kitchens in the past we don't send food back, this was not at a high rush time but 4PM on Saturday with half capacity restaurant maybe half the kitchen was on break. Come on T- Mac McDonough I know your new but you can do better than this, we will be back for another try in the future please get your kitchen in shape! read more
