First time here - very attentive staff. Plates were reasonable for the size and it was absolutely delicious!! I would definitely come back.

Food was freshly made and a nice waiter (Diego) immediately brought drinks and suggested an appetizer. I ordered the veggie tostadas, nachos and veggie burrito to go. Then I ordered every single vegan taco. I was pleasantly surprised when they came out because all the vegetables were seasoned well & cooked perfectly. The nachos were delicious because they were piled high with toppings and not soggy. I also noticed they generously added slices of avocado! My favorite taco was the "Rico Ocho". It had potatoes and a nice chili sauce. The waiter kindly brought me extra sauces to go with everything. I recommend the vegan tacos and tostadas, since not only are they healthy but tasted rich with culinary culture that isn't easy to find. 5 stars for the wonderful variety of vegetarian options & great customer service.

This is a counter-service establishment and you get your drinks so it's great for larger parties!! I love the stubborn sodas, so yay!! The food was good but the brisket tacos had more onions than brisket so my kid hardly touched that and the beef Colorado tacos were so spicy she couldn't finish the first bite! She ended up eating a chicken quesadilla so she didn't go to bed hungry. The rice is great when dipped in the black beans! It's a nice place e to try! I

A local chain restaurant embedded in Dallas' sprawling suburbia. I don't know that every single thing is necessarily bigger in Texas, but the tacos here definitely were. My taco platter included two large tortillas, neither of which could quite hold the fillings they came with. Fortunately, things mixed well with rice and beans and some chips that were left over after I went through the salsa. Many vegetable-based options were offered, and I was quite happy with the ones I chose. It was tough to pick between the tacos and some of the more creative options, including a chickpea torta and a non-cheese quesadilla. This certainly exceeds my expectations for a taco chain in this area, and based on what I ordered, the rest is probably delicious as well.

It's a cute local taco place with a good assortment of vegan options. Tried two of their vegan tacos-Madre Tierra Taco and Pura Vida Taco. Of these too I loved their Madre Tierra with kale and Uruguayan sauce-warm,delicious and flavorful. Pura vida was ok as I prefer my tacos warm than the ones with cold fillings. Looking forward to trying out their other vegan tacos. Customer service was good and the restaurant was clean.

Walked in close to lunchtime with a craving for some breakfast burritos on a gloomy day. I was met with smiles and the recommendation to try the chorizo and I went with bacon for good measure. They almost forgot to toss the salsa in the bad but close call was adverted and flavor what salvaged. As for the burritos the eggs were fresh and tortillas nicely charred but some fine tuning might be needed for an extra visit for breakfast. Potatoes were still a touch crunchy and both came with corn which made for an interesting addition but not one I'd make on my own accord. Otherwise salsas help to boost the flavor and the chorizo was a nice addition. Not bad but not my top spot for breakfast burritos. On to the next!

Smoked Chicken Elote Taco and the Brisket Taco (with little sweet plantains hiding under all that meat).

My son is a nacho lover. I wish I'd grabbed a photo of the tower presented to him, but it looked so good we took a dive in and never looked back. Stubborn sodas are on tap and that's an easy win for me (well, really for him because I will say yes to sugar easier than corn syrup). I took a cute photo of my Chicken Elote Taco but the plantains hiding under the brisket was the best. I'm also 100% biased toward plantains. The Elote chicken taco tasted... chemically? Weird? I'm not sure. The brisket wasn't bbq brisket. It was stew-style brisket. It was good, but not what I originally expected. But you know already that I don't care because of the plantanitos. Overall, it was fine. We would go again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get there.

The photos make it look very lively and fun so imagine our surprise at happy hour on a Friday walking into an entirely empty restaurant! Two couples inside and a couple guys drinking on the patio. We still decided to stay because we were hungry and the place itself is super duper nice and cute! We opted to sit at the bar where we were kindly greeted and two TVs playing football with no volume (which I love)! The barstools were very comfortable as well. Ordered two of the BEST margaritas I've ever had with the gran marnier! I now want all my margs made this way. No need for a second! For food, the enchilada verde and the taco lunch plates were pretty dang good. No complaints there and the servings were reasonable and not too much from the lunch menu. No leftovers. Really enjoyed the verde. Chips and salsa were something to write home about! Amazingly toasted and crunchy, I should have asked for a bag to go with just those chips! Very good! All in all, the staff was too kind and it happened to be my friend's birthday so I "snuck away to the restroom" and told our waiter and he surprised us with a perfect tres leches slice that was absolutely delicious! For lunch and margs I spent $65 and he treated us with that dessert and I felt like that was so sweet! Thank you team at Lalo! You guys were great and I now actually like that the restaurant was slower at the time but I do hope they pick up because it was a great place for us! Enjoyed very much and if we are ever back in the area we will stop through.

They brought a large basket of perfectly crispy, warm chips with salsa and took my order. I got the #15 lunch special which is your choice of two enchiladas (I got sour cream chicken), rice and beans. The food was served quickly and at the perfect temperature. My enchiladas were bursting with chicken and the sour cream sauce was the perfect compliment. The rice was excellent as well. Even the iced tea is great, and featured a legit lemon slice. They have a full bar which I'll be trying on my next visit and two large TVs set where you can see one or both from any seat in the dining room. I told my server she's going to get sick of seeing me because I'll be here at least twice a week! Service was excellent by the way. My tea was even refilled without having to ask. The ground beef wasn't that good, chicken taco was better (surprisingly). Rice and beans were decent. Overall, didn't hate it here, but also not that great. The tamales were very good. (I'm picky about my tamales. I've tried their ranchero sauce, chili con carne, and sour cream sauce. None of them disappoint. Their rice isn't dry like it is at many other Tex-Mex places. And their $5.00 all day frozen margaritas are worth it. We usually go for the lunch specials that run until 4:00. They don't have mole on the menu, yet. I'm looking forward to their future specials. In this day and age where it's hard to keep a restaurant open, I really hope this one survives. This is one of those restaurants that gets both the food and the atmosphere right, which is harder to find than it should be. We went with the Taco Bar Tuesday special, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a build-your-own taco experience. The chicken and beef were well-seasoned, juicy, and generous in portion size, and the fresh tortillas they make for you are a huge standout -- warm, soft, and clearly made with care. Sadly, we forgot to take the remaining chicken, beef, and fresh tortillas with us -- not because the food wasn't great, but because life with two kids under two is pure chaos. Honestly, that one's on us. Beyond the food, the vibe here is a big reason we keep coming back. The restaurant has tons of character, from the massive bar to the spacious patio. The flame lanterns out front are such a cool touch and really set the tone before you even walk in. It feels lively, fun, and welcoming without being overwhelming. Uncle Julio's is one of those places that works whether you're out for a casual night, a family meal, or just want good food in a great setting. Taco Bar Tuesday is absolutely worth it, and we'll definitely be back -- hopefully remembering the leftovers next time.
