We had ordered this food truck for my niece's first bday. And their tacos were on point. We had the option for beef or chicken, and of course I went with beef. Also, you could have them with flour or corn tortilla. There was a separate section for all the fixings such as queso, jalapeños, cilantro, salsa etc. I actually combined all my tacos with a single gigantic epic taco. It turned out to be very good. Someday I would like to visit the food truck at their location and try out other items on the menu.

They have the best tacos. The lady is so nice every time! I eat here mostly when i decide to buy outside food. Their food is amazing I tried almost everything and they all taste amazing. Its a 10/10

This food truck is located adjacent to a gas station, they have some tables you can sit at outside or take to go. We tried the barbacoa, fajitas, tripa, al pastor, and sudadero tacos. Needless to say, we want back for seconds. All the ones we tried were so savory! They tasted so fresh and well made. We were more than pleasantly surprised at the quality given that it was a food truck with super affordable prices. If you want tasty, authentic tacos, that are quick and won't break the bank this is your spot. (P.S. they were so good I only took one photo, and devoured the rest with out giving it a second thought)

I love this place food is fresh and delicious! Price are fair enough! Food flavor is delicious! Drinks are little bit overpriced but they are located outside a gas station, plenty of options to get drinks there. The cubana Torta is huge and has fajitas, hot dog, ham, avocado, beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. Tacos are delicious as well they serve you enough meat in each taco can't compare to any other place!

STAY AWAY! If I could give 0 stars I would!!! After all the great reviews I decided to give this food truck a try because I love TACOS! With local businesses being affected I really try to support. However, as you can see I opened up my plate and a bug had been cooked in my tortilla this is absolutely disgusting and I will be reporting this food truck! STAY AWAY!!!

I came couple months ago and ordered and had couple items missing from my order. I didn't go to the car like usual I stood by the table and checked my order since I do live far from this location. I was accused by the cook that I was cheating them and that I stole the order when I spoke in Spanish and told them that I do understand and that I was there at the table and that she in fact did not complete my order she relished I fact I was telling the truth (she never apologized) I let it go and took my food promised myself I would never go back. Let me be clear I went back because my kids like the cubanas. Second time I went to this location The cashier pretends she doesn't understand English when obviously they were people in-front of me who only spoke English. She over charged me for the food and when asked how much the items costed she obviously charged me and had enough nerve to think I was going to pay a tip. Our torta was missing the other half of the bread l think I rather pass this place next time. I tried to give this place a second chance but nope no more. When you want a mediocre service then this is the place to go. read more

I love the tacos here and the green salsa is amazing. Only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because one time they over charged for my tacos, I guess because they knew they could get away with it. I didn't realize I was over charged until it was too late and I didn't even have a receipt to show proof. So when you order just make sure to know their prices read more

I've tried several taco places in my past, the element that everyone overlooks about tacos is the sauce that goes with it. Taco Salsa has the best tacos with the best salsa that compliments it. Having the red sauce for flavor and the green sauce for a rich creamy taste that kicks is very addictive and good. read more

My order took 45 mins on a weekday evening. I was told it would take 20mins. So I wait in my car for 20mins and noticed that people that had ordered after me were already receiving their food. I proceeded to ask them and they stated that my order is coming next and the reason they were taking so long was bc they had to replace the gas. So okay I decide to wait. Well the gentleman that ordered after me ate and finished his food and left before I even got mine. My order consisted of 2 gorditas and 2 tacos. My husband has also cams and waited 30+min. As a Mexican food lover and after 100 plus tacos that I've probably eaten in a life time, these tacos are hands down top 5 on my list. These are some of the best tacos in alief. Their prices are cheap and the size and quality of food are about 9/10. I ordered 7 tacos and a Gordita and I paid about 15 dollars for everything. You can't go wrong with this taco spot. I'll definitely be So this is an update....a very unfortunate one too. The last time I got my food I asked if avocado cheese came with my food they said yes, I asked if limes were in the bag they said yes....when I got home I realized nothing I asked for was in my bag. Today the same exact thing happened to me, while they managed to tie my bag up soooooooooo tightly I made sure to look through my bag, again everything I asked for wasn't in my bag and this time it came with an attitude. First and foremost I am part of the reason the taco truck is thriving, I'm a customer and I almost want to say I'm a regular but after today, I'm definitely not. They lied to me on multiple occasions about what my food actually comes with....Unfortunately I won't be going back for a long time....stop cheating your paying customers....stop being cheap, too bad this happened, I can't wait to tell the handful of people I brought to their business. read more

My husband and I love this place, they are the shit! Hands down! Their green creamy salsa is also one of our favorites and what makes the tacos extra delicious! Sucks there not open Sunday's . There $1.50 a taco, corn or flour, other places charge extra for a lot of different bull and it's not as tasty! If you stay in alief this is definitely the taco spot for sure!!! read more

Okay, I normally would not write a review after eating somewhere one time, but for Taco Salsa I will make an exception. I have been searching for tacos in Houston that measure up to my favorite tacos on the planet that I can't get anymore since I moved from Austin. I have tried tons of taco places since I've made the move, but to no avail. Until now. Taco Salsa has AMAZING tacos at an AMAZING price. $1.50 per taco. You don't need a huge selection when your menu is already perfected. Also, I always have to have flour tortillas and I feel that the tortilla makes the taco, and Taco Salsa's flour tortillas are bomb. My boyfriend ordered al pastor and I had the fajita. Both were perfectly cooked (and the green sauce is super tasty too!) I will be back! read more

Haven't been in awhile because I felt I had to space out my visits... This place is amazing. Super affordable, delicious tacos. I haven't tried anything else. If you're ever hung over, get you a couple two tree barbacoa tacos (with onions and cilantro), extra salsa and a soda, and you'll be good to go. We just came back from this taqueria I was so excited to try my tacos the Oder 2 pastor 1 tripa and 1 campechano and my husband ask for the same and yes what :( they have all wrong they give me the wrong tacos they give me 4 tripa and 4 campechanos buuuuu :( no al pastor in the picture they look like they have nice cook onion and is nothing in our tacos I'm so sad the person attending was nice and look like he wrote my order but I guess he didn't check you order before you leave the place read more

Tacos Dona Lena is a very well known restaurant that has fed me twice recently and I enjoyed both…read morevisits. Parking is in front of the restaurant located in a strip center. Inside it is a one room eatery with counter service. My first visit was to try the Birria Burrito for $16 with the meal delivered about 10 minutes later. It consisted of their Birria meat cooked for 4 hours mixed with chorizo, cheese, rice, beans and sour cream all wrapped in a large flour tortilla seasoned with their special red colored seasoning. With the meal came a cup of consomne'. Guy Fieri would say, Welcome to Flavortown! It was delicious. The Birria beef was so tender and the flavored flour tortilla with that proprietary red seasoning they use was perfect. It was a very filling meal and well worth the price. So much so, I thought about it the next day. Another visit was to try one of their specialities, the Quesabirria for $14. This meal consisted of 3 grilled and crispy corn tortillas seasoned again with their special red colored magic dust. The tortillas had the delicious Birria meat and cheese inside and I again loved them. The tortillas are only slightly crispy and the meat, cheese and tortillas memorable. This meal also came with a cup of consommé for dipping. Another nice thing about eating here is the customer service. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. The guy bussing the tables acted more like the owner than an employee with his helpfulness and the actual manager came out to check on us. Impressive for a counter service restaurant. Tacos Dona Lena deserves its reputation as one of the best restaurants of its kind. Incredible food and employees all at very reasonable prices. When I think of tacos and burritos, this place is what comes to mind!

I'm from Katy; this east part of Houston is very new to me. I don't know where to go for food here, but I for sure now know where to go for Trompo Tacos! The trompo here was bomb! I was in the city for a wine fest and needed tacos to tame my hunger from all the wine sipping. Tacos Las Sultana popped up, and the pictures of the trompo looked insane. After going, I can confirm the trompo looked even better than the pictures. Shout out to the chef cutting up fresh trompo I ordered some tacos de trompo to go, with avocado. The order of tacos came with a side of grilled onions and potatoes. I have never had roasted potatoes with my tacos; they were tasty and very buttery. Dude, the way they packaged their tacos... never have I seen tacos from a taco truck packaged so nicely. They wrap everything and even package their salsa. Very clean, very organized This place is over an hour away from me. After eating here I will gladly make the hour drive for this bomb trompo They have a parking lot and street parking available. They have limited seating available inside. They take cash and Venmo payment

We ordered: Horchata (small for $3.49), Quesadillas with beef, Quesadillas with chicharron, Gorditas with beef, and Gorditas with chicharron. I don't like cinnamon but the horchata was addicting and it paired so well with the food. My friend got their Melon Agua Fresca and he said it was really refreshing as well. The gorditas were stuffed and they were so delicious, the cheese was melting and the bread was warm and not dry. The Quesadillas were my favorite. You put both the red sauce and the green sauce on it, a lot of lime juice, and it's perfect. I forgot to order cilantro on mine but they do give you it at no extra cost. The prices are so cheap and you get so much food. Everything is around $3 and it will fill you up. Each of us totaled out to be about $10-15 per person and we were stuffed. I would definitely come back here over and over again! My friend said the only bad thing about this place is when you order to go, they won't give you a lot (no lime, no hot sauces, less meat, etc.) so definitely get dine-in.

The flavor of the horchata was good; it tasted a bit watered down but that's on me for not picking up my food immediately. I would have never thought of this combo. Both refreshing with a little sweetness to it and super creamy. For the matcha drinks, you can tell they use quality matcha based off of the vibrant green color. The space itself is great - it's comfortable and bright and super chill. I didn't adjust the coffee, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste and not that strong compared to the competition in the area. Perhaps it was the avocado. I'd like to go back and try their other menu items. Customer service was good; the cashier walked me through the menu. It's also a cute place to study and hang out with friends.

I asked if I could get the pistachio dream with oatmilk and the server recommended against it saying it would make the drink too sweet. I appreciated her honest advice and got the dragonfruit strawberry refresher instead. It was definitely refreshing with the perfect amount of ice to keep it cold but not water it down. I also tried one of the mini croissants which is probably what will keep me coming back. Flaky and full of high quality cheese and spices, I wish I had gotten two! OKAY I first discover this truck when a friend took me and I have loved it ever since! The best authentic tacos comes from this food truck, hands down! Taco Salsa's tacos are a little different from others because the corn tortillas are slightly crunchy and fried, but not like a hard taco and it's DELICIOUS. I usually get the pastor tacos on corn and top it with their spicy green sauce. They have a clean seating area that most trucks don't have and lots of napkins. Great tacos Great service Little wait time SUPER affordable They are CASH ONLY and bring small bills because sometimes they don't have enough change. horrible customer service!!! me and my father were walking up to the truck and those rude ass bitches insulted my dad!!! they said "mira ese hombre asqueroso que viene" which translates "look at that nasty ass man walking up" and they laughed acting like we didnt fuckinh hear them!!!! and when my dad asked them "are you bothered that i come here?" and they acted stupid like they didnt say anything!!!! shut this place down! the food is disgusting last time i ate here i got food poisoning!!! and the ambiance is creepy as fuck and not welcoming!!!! read more

Love stopping by whenever I'm in the area because the tacos are always delicious and cheap! I've tried their Cubana tortas and their flour tacos with fajita/barbocoa. Each time, their food is always generously stuffed--so you definitely get your money's worth. read more
