It really doesn't get much better than Taco Santana. The food is FANTASTIC! I'm originally from California and this is the closest in I've ever come to that West Coast flavor. The tacos ingredients are so fresh and inexpensive. The set up is very low key and most people would probably prefer to opt for take out or delivery but the food speaks volumes. tip: You shouldn't bother getting a taco if you don't upgraded to the $3.50 Tacos Santana. Man what a disappointment. I ordered a delivery last night. 1 hour 15 minutes later it arrived. The delivery boy does not carry a dollar of change, so a bill of 13.50, if I didn't have singles around my house, I would either have to give him a $20, which was all i had on me at the time or scavenger looking for bills. I gave him a 3.50 tip and he didn't say thank you or anything. sheesh I tipped you 25% even after you took 75 minutes, at least acknowledge it or something. I had 2 steak tacos. Looking at the meat, I could not even tell what type of meat it was. Pretty sure it wasn't beef. Ordered a chorizo burrito without beans. I didn't realize they do not put anything in a burrito. my burrito was just rice, chorizo and cheese. they asked what salsa i'd like in the burrito, but failed to put any in there. They delivered red and green salsa in nice plastic containers. Both of which were not sealed great and were all over the bag and had none left in the container itself. They don't deliver any utensils or napkins either. Will not be ordering from this place again. read more

So disappointing. The original family that started up Taco Santana left and another family has taken over. BEWARE! They raised the prices and cheated me of an extra $5 make sure you calculate what you order and not just rely on what they tell you the bill is. This had happened before with the original family but they ended up having made an extra two tacos so the bill was correct then. Not the case this time I paid the extra $5 thinking they made something extra but got home and counted my order with nothing to show for the extra $5 charge. I paid an additional $9 for an order that had even less fillings in the tacos to show for it. I always come back to this place. It's less crowded than Mexico 3000 around the corner and the people there are always nice. Their guacamole is standard, but their tacos and other offerings are en pointe. I recommend their cemita de tinga. read more

Ive ordered here for years. Excellent tasty food that couldnt be matched by the likes nearby or in manhattan. But today it was all wrong. Everything was prepared and tasted differently. Wanted to try this place out because of all the great reviews...however I have to give them 1 star for their delivery service. After waiting 45 minutes for my food, I got a call from the delivery man who said he was at my location. However, he had gone to the North instead of South version of my street. He then proceeded to tell me that I had written the address down wrong (I hadn't, my email confirmation confirmed this) and that I would have to wait an additional 20 minutes because he had another order to deliver. I ordered delivery from this place on a Saturday around 9 pm. Received a confirmation email saying my food would be delivered in around 45 mins. An hour went by and no call, no food. I contacted the restaurant and provided the woman on the phone with my confirmation, and order number. She confirmed my order had just went out. This restaurant is 12 mins from my place. 40 more mins went by, I call again. The same woman tells me they don't have anymore orders for the evening. This confused me because I spoke with her 40 mins prior, and she said my food was in route. I provide her with my confirmation number again, and she then changes her story and says yea the food is in route. I ask to speak to a manager and she tells me no one is available. I explain I'm frustrated because of the inconsistencies in her explanation on my delivery. Some man then takes the phone and I have to go through the speech again. He poorly explains to me that they had too many orders that night and canceled the order. No apology for canceling without contacting me 1.5 hrs later and no apology for lying and poor customer service. Never again. read more

The guacamole was just mashed up avocado, not even any salt or tomatoes in it. I got 3 different tacos which all fell apart despite having two tortillas. The steak was very low quality and burnt. Taco Santana is one of those affordable gems in Bushwick that is a good go-to at any time of the day. It seems to be a family place as the person who takes your order is the owner's English speaking son. Their isn't a bad vibe about the place. You don't even have to pay them until the food is done. Taco Santana had the rudest customer service ever. The staff kept us waiting for over an hour for our delivery. We called them and asked them if our food was on it's way? They say said yes it's almost there. We wait another 30 mins and still no food. So we call again. Then they tell us that the food was canceled and we asked why? They told us that there were too many orders so thy had to cancel the food. Mind you, they did not notify us of the cancellation. Too many orders? What in the world? If that's the case why not just close down future order not orders already made and quote on quote out for delivery. What's worse? Not even a simple apology. We relied on his restaurant to feed us three... What kind of restaurant does this? We ask for the manager and there was non available, not even an option to call one or for one to call back. The lady then gives us a long silence as if waiting for us to hang up and we weren't ready we wanted an apology.. or a real explanation ...I am very disappointed. I will be calling on Monday for a manager. I will be telling everyone I know about this horrendous experience that I received. I'm now hungry... and annoyed..... The most real mexican food I've ever had!! They make everything there, its all very fresh and super cheap, (like soft tacos for two bucks!!)
