Really enjoyed this authentic Mexican restaurant. It was a surprise though when I first entered due to how little room it has for seating (Only three tables). However the real surprise was the food, it tasted great! I got the nachos which were fantastic, tasted especially great with the poco de gallo sauce and some lime. Also they deliver for free which is a plus. The restaurant itself was very small though and packed with decorations which made it seem even smaller, wait time for the food was a little long but only because it's fresh and you could smell them actually cooking it. However, I had the house taco (al pastor) -- "Taco Santana" and was blown away by the delicious spices on the vegetables. I believe they were grilled fajita style and included pineapple. This feels a little hypocritical because I just spent 20 minutes walking up and down 9th Ave trying to find a Thai place that didn't have a B or a C rating--but fuck the New York Health Code C rating. Taco Santana is awesome. Yes, the little girl who rides her scooter out front and plays with dolls at the tables also doubles as "staff", taking your order down in crayon. But whatever--it's small and family-owned and a neighborhood staple. The first time I ordered delivery through Eat24 and the food was excellent and delivery prompt. The second time I placed an order for delivery to the same address, I get a call 45 minutes later from the restaurant telling me the order is cancelled because they don't deliver to my area. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he wasn't in, and that I was speaking to the manager's son. Either this idiot was too lazy too call me earlier to inform me of the order cancellation, or more likely given they've delivered to me in the past, he was lying to me.
