I ordered for delivery because of course Covid :( I read the reviews and got excited to try a New Mexican Restaurant and you all know by now I'm not biased with Mexican food. I can honestly say I'm extremely disappointed. I had an elote that was like a mini corn with no type of chili, and this time I wanted chili. Secondly my steak tostada was bland. Extremely bland steak and so hard to chew. My steak tacos were also hard to eat and very little steak inside. I honestly feel like this could've been so much better but it wasn't therefore I give 2 stars. It was extremely bland food, all of it including the corn. I will not order here again.

If you want consistent authentic Mexican food this is your place. It's literally a hole in the wall in Williamsburg but the food is amazing. It's tiny and there's no space to really dine with a group but if you're looking for cheap eats for good amount of food, I highly recommend.

Good price. I knocked off a star because the taste was there! But I wish they sticked to authentic Mexican food. Tacos with lettuce and tomato was unexpected and I would have preferred cilantro and onions. The cemita was delicious, highly recommend and the tortilla and meat was so good and fresh! Will try more soon!!

Super unassuming but damn, this place is delicious! I got this place for takeout because the interior wasn't super inviting haha. I start with the taco, which was solid - I probably wouldn't get it again, but it felt refreshing with the lettuce + pico. The queso tostada was just the star of the show - a hunking chunk of avocado with oozy cheese made every bite special. The tostada started to fall apart a bit, but I made sure to have every last bite. It is quite cheap (~$4 per item) and service was quick. I will be back!

35 minutes past the beginning of the delivery window and still no food

Really bummed about my experience today. Had a craving for fish tacos and nachos (yep both) - read good reviews and the delivery time was reasonable (30-40 minute wait), so I went for it. 3 fish tacos + cheese nachos. Final cost well over $30 by the time $5.99 delivery fee, tax and tip added. Sadly the delivery window came and went. I called the restaurant and spoke with a very pleasant girl. She was kind and explained that the delivery was not done by the restaurant itself but by Seamless/Grub Hub and she has no control over the timing. Annoying. I was understanding but explained at this point the order was more than 20 minutes late. She told me she'd tell the owner and that there's nothing she could do. She recommended I call Seamless to complain. I waited another 15 minutes and the food came. It was 25-35 minutes past the estimated time window and was totally soggy. I threw most of the nachos away as they felt like they'd been run under water. I ate the tacos with a knife and fork but couldn't pick them up because they too had soaked through the shell. Definitely not satisfying the craving! Not really sure where the responsibility lies here - either with Seamless or with the restaurant but it was a waste of $35 and a waste of an hour+ time.

On seamless it says cheese quesadilla, only sent tortillas.

Customer service: I ordered through seamless and they forgot the actual quesadilla, I called and they said the quesadilla is $5 and because it says flour tortilla that is what they gave me. Of course the order didn't come with a receipt saying what the order actually tells them to do. ‍

OUTSTANDING food, service and prices. Nondescript hole-in-wall storefront. The Real Thing.

It was nice and hot. It didn't have too much meat, which I prefer. I will return and try the Vegetarian burrito.

After reading the great reviews on Yelp, I was determined to check this place out. Great Mexican food is hard to find in Toronto, so Taco Santana looked promising! Be warned, however, that their stated hours of 11AM-10PM Monday-Saturday are pretty loose. I.e. if it's not busy, they will just close early. Went by twice only to be disappointed that they were closed. If you're making a special trip to come here, call first. When I finally did make it, I was not disappointed! Came by to pick up lunch. The place is tiny with no AC or fan, so it was super hot but the staff didn't seem to mind. That little girl in the photo was not there, but there was a young boy who helped translate our order and questions, as the rest of the staff speak little English. They have tacos, nachos, tostadas, etc. My DC and I shared: - Taco Santana with pork -- quite big and comes with fresh avocado. Delicious! - Tinga Taco with chicken and veggies -- 2 smaller tacos, no avocado. Very fresh and flavourful. - Chorizo tostada - my favourite!! Fresh shredded cheese on top and nice spicy sausage. - They give you 2 kinds of hot sauce - red and green. Both are really good, although the latter is way spicier. Total came to $8. Great value. I wish we had something like this in Toronto...! Will definitely be back next time I am in Williamsburg.

Quesadilla the best thing u can get!

When I first came in, to be honest I had low expectations. I was hungry I was literally dying and I was also a bit confused on where to order because the store was small and the employees were restless. I bought a chicken quesadilla and it was one of the best and most WORTH IT quesadilla I've ever ever had. Trust me it tastes sooo good and the tortilla was crispy AF! Also ordered a steak and a chicken taco and they were both great! This place is really good, I wouldn't say its good for dates (LOL) but I definitely 10/10 recommend this place. So delicious

Just gross and not very good at all. Not fresh. We got a torta and fajitas. Meat was all dry and burnt.

Both were so flavorful, especially the chicken, and the plantains and cheese on the veg were the perfect combo. The empanadas were so fluffy and the cazón I got worked really well inside, the spices they added to the fish married it well with the dough. And the sauces!! Total must, particularly the creamy green sauce, but also the others ruled. And the prices were reasonable, I was very full after a $6 empanada and $13.50 arepa, for a lighter meal could probably just have the latter. Awesome spot in Bushwick for sit-down arepas.

And they taste delicious. I felt like the servings were huge!!! Immediately walking in, I was greeted and sat down. My order was taken quickly too. It was a busy day but my food still came out within 10 minutes. And good thing too because I was starving. I got the pollo arepa and pollo empanada. Looovveee how soft the pollo empanada is... it's so dang fluffy. That was my first time having an empanada with that kind of dough. I have to say that I prefer it. Wish Filipinos used that dough when we make our empanadas. lol. The pollo arepa was everything!!! I had never had an arepa until the day I had one here. The meat was seasoned so nicely in their tomato based sauce. And the actual arepa... soft yet had a bit of a crunch. It was the perfect textures for me. I also enjoyed their soursop juice. It paired perfectly with my meal. My friend got the pernil arepa and was impressed by the taste and the green sauce. I didn't get much information out of him other than it was hitting the spot lol. Definitely a solid place to go in the area. It's kind of medium sized in there but there is plenty of seating if you're with a party no bigger than 3 or 4 people. I think most people come in here for a grab and go situation. But it's cool to hang around to watch the kitchen at work and hear the music.

While the place is pretty cute aesthetically, the service was awful. I had made a reservation since that's what's recommended by the establishment and everyone we interacted with was pretty unpleasant. In addition, the cake tasted old and so freezer burnt that we had one bite and discarded the rest. Nothing about it was appealing. Worst of all no one seemed to want to wait on us so we spent the whole time trying to flag someone down so we left cash on the table for everything and left. Dispute all this we decided to still tip 30% since our order was so small and we wanted to be courteous. 15 mins later I get an extremely rude phone call from the restaurant immediately accusing me of leaving without paying! They didn't even have the decency to check the table without immediately assuming and being unbelievable disrespectful. Still in disbelief about the entire experience, would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

The menu changes constantly and you can find the latest menu on their Instagram stories which they update daily. As a rule of thumb, plan to get dessert. The dark chocolate tiramisu slice we were served was healthy in size, rich in flavor and perfect to split between the two of us. I tend to order 3 dishes (one protein and two side dishes) when coming in with a friend. The dishes are always a reminder of how simple ingredients can be combined to create fantastic flavors. As a note, the Chicken Cutlet was perfectly crisp and now I feel inclined to stop in for lunch and grab a sandwich. The wines are definitely selected by someone who has a preference for funky I almost want to say musky flavors. Never really found something there that I liked which is the only drawback to this place. Get a reservation, this place can be packed very quickly. It's also good for small groups, I've seen many a birthday dinner take place here.

Being Angelenos, it's VERY hard to find ANYTHING that is open IN-STORE after 10 or 11pm...even on the weekend!! We were so happy to find this establishment while walking between bars and starting to feel very hungry! Also, it doesn't hurt that the pizza here is also EXCELLENT! Having visited L'Industrie earlier in the week, which I absolutely LOVED, I was very pleasantly surprised to find the pizza slices here to be quite comparable in taste, quality, and size. It's also a very bright, open, warm, and welcoming space within. Service was prompt and efficient, if not a tad bit curt...although I give them grace...considering the fact we were visiting late at night around 2am. Anyways...if it was THAT good when we went in the middle of the night...I feel I can confidently recommend this spot as great for grabbing pizza slices. It's definitely worth a visit, in my book!
