The service is always prompt and friendly. My favorite dishes here are the taco salad, birria tacos, and burritos. All are delicious. Many of you have probably eaten taco shop through Uber eats and have not actually eaten at the restaurant. I personally think that Uber Eats has destroyed food in America, but that story is for another day. Taco shop is not your regular better than fast food Mexican spot, (ie Taco Rico) they actually have a Mexican chef seasoning and whipping up your food. The restaurant is decorated tastefully and is clean. The staff was also very nice and welcoming. To eat I highly recommend the hard tacos, I prefer the chicken, but the beef is also very good. I also like their chimichanga and quesadillas. I haven't tried their Birria, but I hear they're great. The only knock I have on this spot is that their salsa is very underwhelming and they don't give you very much of it. I would recommend to them that they should make it a little juicier and give the customer more in a larger container, with the complimentary chips (the chips are impossible to dip because of the tiny container). Tacos on a Monday? Sign me up! This is such a hidden gem that I've always wanted to try. Me and a girlfriend came in the early afternoon and went to town. We tried: Birria Queso Tacos Guac and Chips Horchata Listen!! By far, best Horchata and Guac that I have had in Miami so far. The Horchata was perfectly milky, cold and sweet. Fajita Friday! I stopped at Taco Shop after my haircut since it's located nearby. It's actually at the location of the old Elevation Burger, in a strip mall with plenty of parking so it's perfect for a quick bite. They do seem to make your order right on time; that's definitely a plus! I went keto-ish so of course I skipped the rice and tortillas. The chips were decently crispy, and I did have to break them in a few pieces to able to dip the tiny salsa containers. The salsas themselves are pretty good and with a nice amount of hear. If only there was more to enjoy... My fajita plate was again on the better side of decent for a quick meal. The chicken had a good texture, seasoning and not overly salty, and likewise for the vegetables and refried beans. I decided to try their sampler platter combo which brings mini cheese quesadillas, taquitos, and bean tostadas. I also ordered their nachos with chicken. And at first look I was like damn they packed my order with a ton of food. My takeout boxes looked like a mountain of meat, beans, and cheese. Sadly the taste wasn't there. I had a ton of bland food. The chicken and beef seems to be cheap/poor quality, I don't doubt that their beans come from cans, cheese is the same as the shredded Tex-Mex mix you can buy at any grocery store, and the food seems to be prepared by dumping everything together and then tossing the plate into a microwave until the cheese sort of melts. I don't know how any can think the food is delicious. Any one that has tried authentic Mexican tacos would be offended by food served at Taco Shop Mexican Grill. read more

I used to eat at the other location for many years. But with traffic being so bad nowadays I'm glad the opened up nearby my house. The food taste as good as it did at the other location. My hubby and I ordered 1 order of the beef tacos with chips and salsa. Now this maybe an authentic Mexican thing but when we received our food it didn't appear to be exactly what we ordered. We didn't make a fuss since it was our first and last time coming to the restaurant. The tacos we ordered were soft tacos but I ordered hard tacos. The chips were fresh and delicious but the salsa was cut up tomatoes with onions and parsley. Let's get into the taste of the tacos!!!!! The meat tasted like canned meat washed in dirty water. The meat didn't taste seasoned at all! I only tried one taco and that was enough for me. I requested guacamole so I can at-least enjoy the chips. I was given the guacamole with no problem.
