Taco Tuesday Happy Hour All Day
    Liz C.

Great happy hour all day Tuesday! Good drinks (lime margarita), chips/ salsa, and tacos (carne asada, chicken). First time visit with patio , spacious seating, and indoor seating. Friendly staff and would definitely be back!

We came back for Taco Tuesday! All day on Tuesdays they offer their Taco Tuesday menu. All tacos, soft and hard shell, are $3.25 each. We tried fish, carnitas, shredded beef, and potato. Really two each is plenty and we had three, food coma! They were all good but we liked the carnitas the best. I ordered a Cantarita, similar to a Margarita but more citrus forward including Grapefriut Juice. It was so good, I ordered a second,.which I never do! My husband ordered the Michelada, again, but this time with Modello Negra. Large and tasty! Service was great. Sofy was our server and she was very friendly and attentive! Definitely looking forward to our next visit! Food is very good, generous portions, and prices are great!

Wanted some Tex-Mex and tried Taco Shore for the first time. Took the 121 bus from right outside our Condo in DTLB to right outside Taco Shore. No parking/driving necessary! The staff is super friendly! The prices are very reasonable. Just drinks and apps this trip. Cadillac Margarita in a schooner and a Grey Goose martini for drinks. The Guacamole dip was my favorite. The cheese dip with chorizo is good. The ceviche tostada is ok. All the aperitivos are large portions. Next visit will be for Fajitas and Quesadillas. I'm including the menus as of 2026. Give them a try!

Holy Micheladas!!! Tacos, salad, chips and this beauty! Service was top notch, quick and friendly and great prices. And it's always a great vibe on 2nd street, when the weather is beautiful!! #secondstreetshufflg

We came here on a Sunday afternoon (before Labor day) and the street was lively. There was already a few people eating before us so that was a good sign. They have a pretty big menu, I got the chille relleno and birria taco. The chile was good, big size, really cheesy. But the birria taco was pretty dry and it didn't come with consome which I thought it did :( there was also no onions or cilantro for it either My friends got a burrito, pozole, tacos, and enchiladas which were pretty standard/good. They do have really good margaritas and drinks! The only thing, was the food took a while and we had to keep asking for things like lime, chips + salsa instead of them checking up on us

This place is so cute, they have indoor and outdoor seating. They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa, the chips were red and green for the holiday season. The tacos are big and I ended up only eating one and taking the other two home. The workers are nice and provided good service. ig: @cravingswithcat

Wow, right on Second Ave! We were looking for a new place to eat and came across this place. Let's skip the parking situation for Second Street on a Friday night. It is bad, we all know it. Nothing we can do about it. If it bothers you, done come to this part of town. We came across this place and it had outdoor seating. Thought we would give it a try. We ordered a margarita sampler and some chips/salsa. For a busy Friday, they came out within a reasonable timeframe. The waitress was busy but kept up with e eryone sitting outside. Chips were good but salsa didn't have much flavor. I cannot recommend the margaritas. Any place that makes margaritas south of Fourth Street does something weird with them. Is there some seltzer water or something with carbonation in them? We tried a second sampler with 4 different flavors. I cannot recommend those either. I have to admit that margaritas are more than a sum of their parts. This experience proved it. I ordered the 3 tacos plate with el pastor and chicken. My husband ordered the taco salad. Neither bad quality but it was difficult to say they had flavor. I found myself using a lot of salt to finish my meal. The meal was reasonable (about $40/person with cocktails). I doubt that I would find myself going back. The food and drinks did not impress me as flavorful.

Great food, amazing service and great place to bring the whole family! They have a lot of TVs playing sports games, great bar area and most importantly clean restrooms.

We come here all the time. Best service - the staff is so kind, prompt, attentive, and always makes sure our drinks are full and we have everything we need. Food is great and very well portioned (get the spicy salsa), patio is dog friendly, and we always feel like family when we come in. 10/10!

Carnitas tacos. There so good. Best Carnitas ever.

I know this place is called Taco Shore but I decided to order a burrito because I'm a contrarian. First the positive. The service provided was exceptional. Our server was a super friendly and attentive server and she had great support from other employees. Great team effort! My burrito was pretty good, it was HUGE! I wasn't going home after, so I forced myself to eat it since I couldn't store it properly. I was full for 24 hours! 18 bucks to not eat for a day is a good deal in my book. I really loved eating outside on their patio, on a nice summer day, it's great for people watching on 2nd. Now the 2 parts I don't like. 1. They serve their salsa in these tiny little dishes that are probably made for soy sauce at a sushi spot. I get not wanting to have too much waste but 4 or 5 chips will empty the salsa dish. 2. I left my favorite sun hat at our table. I called about 30 minutes to an hour after I left to ask if they had found it and they said they didn't. I was devastated because I love that hat. My buddy went back the next day to see if it was found and he saw it displayed on the wall with some sombreros. I'm super glad they still had it but the situation makes me feel a little weird towards the restaurant.

Overall, it's an OK experience. It's a typical American Mexican restaurant with a bar inside. They have outdoor seating. I ordered three tacos. They were more juicy than I like, but they were not bad either. My favorite thing was the salsa they brought, and chips were very fresh. Service was very good. They are very attentive. Sietting and decoration is kind of old. Prices are OK. Overall again it's an OK experience.

We had family in town and needed a last minute reservation on a Sunday for 12 people. The qualifications: AC and delicious food. Panxa Cocina fit all of the above and the entire squad left the restaurant raving about their experience. Our crew shared a bit of everything fried squash, queso, ceviche, enchiladas, and their verde chilaquiles with over easy eggs and chicken. Each of these items were delicious, but I'd return for the ceviche and chilaquiles. The ceviche was a delicious mix of sweet and salty. Their tortilla chips are made fresh in-house and paired perfectly with the fresh cut fish. I was also impressed by their cocktails. With family in town, we visited a number of fan-favorite restaurants across the coastline. Panxa stole the show for best mixed drink: the watermelon margarita. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. My favorite dish was the birria, with the salmon ceviche as a close second. The mole was great too, but I'd say the other two dishes were more memorable and something I'd return for. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. Totally my fault. The butternut enchilada was lacking in the expected savoriness... this is being polite. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. I scraped off the onions and toppings on the ono tacos, put the fish on the flour tortillas that another person didn't want, and topped the fish with refried beans, street corn and a but if the chicken tortilla soup broth to make due. When you are driving more than 30 minutes for this experience, I think you would agree that it was less that a proper way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and if there isn't any street parking. It'll cost you about 9 bucks in the lot. I didn't use the restroom, so I cant review its cleanliness. Our waitress was flawless taking orders and delivering food The restaurant itself has a great layout and an outdoor courtyard complete with propane heaters and umbrellas - I loved that... but my favorite part was out front, no not the seating area in the former parking spaces, nope... it was the collapsed woman on the sidewalk, walking her dog with snot running out of her nose because she was huffing some aerosol can of whatever. This truly set the mood upon arrival. Two stars for being close to a lot of other food choices to visit afterward.

It has great flavor and is one of the things I look forward to every time I come here. My absolute favorite is their green chile pork, which I get as a chile verde wet burrito. It is outstanding. I honestly haven't tried a huge portion of the menu because when I find something I really like, I tend to stick with it--and their chile verde wet burrito is just too good for me to pass up. Unfortunately, we didn't have a reservation, and it was an hour wait, so we went to the bar. A couple was just getting up, so we snagged the table. Our waitress was excellent. She brought us menus, water and were given hot chips with fresh delicious salsa. We ordered the happy hour margaritas and they were perfect to start things off. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas with green tomatillo sauce. The shrimp were big, the sauce was yummy, and the rice and beans were very good. Everyone else was happy with their order. Our waitress quickly ran up the check, as she knew we needed to get to a concert. She was always friendly and helpful to us. We enjoyed our meals, We will be back.

Me trying to decide between the asada burrito or the nachos and they bartender said go with the burrito.I went with the red chile, it comes with cream sauce, served with a thin layer of beans, sautéed onions, cilantro, topped with monterey Jack and mozzarella cheese. Very good tasty burrito. A couple at the bar who sat next be me was offered tortilla chips and salsa by another waiter. I was not offered this. It would be been a nice add. They did keep my soda glass filled so i appreciate that. For dessert i tried the churros with ice cream. Ice cream came pretty melted already lol i understand it was more hot in the resturant than outside for some weird reason. I had to eat it fast but the churros were delicous! Bar area is nice, they have TV's to which the games. The place was like 80% filled, good vibe here! Food rating: Asada Burrito Plate 7.5\10 Churros and Ice cream 8.0\10
