Super Nachos, Super Nachos, Super Nachos! I cannot say it enough... GET THE SUPER NACHOS. I know that I must sound like a complete phein, and I am. I started coming to Taco Tree about six months ago after every member of my staff telling me that I was missing out for not having tried it. I would think when they said that, "Really? What could be SO good about a taco joint?" Well i'll tell you what... everything. To start, the service is quick and convenient and they will personalize your order however you ask them to. The drive-thru has two lanes for ordering, and good thing because this Taco Tree is constantly busy. (I would not recommend parking your car anywhere near the drive thru or you are going to get boxed in by the endless lunch crowd.) Their Super Nachos come in 2 sizes: Large and Small. The small is a little too small and the large is a little too large. I say that just because they're so good... go for the large. The super nachos come with chips, beans, beef, nacho cheese, olives, tomatoes, and green onions. I get mine with extra tomatoes and a few sides of jalapenos. Throw some of their salsa packets and drizzle some sriracha sauce and red pepper flakes over them and they are about the most addicting thing ever. MUST TRY! read more

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the inside lobby is very small and once the school gets let out that place is packed full of high school kids. About this review on "gluten allergies" with all due respect, you are clearly an undiagnosed "gluten allergy" sufferer. If you did have a GLUTEN INTOLERANCE, (aka celiac disease) you would have said intolerance or sensitivity, and not "allergy." You see, there are people who have actual allergies and they have to watch what they eat or even touch. These people can actually die if they are exposed to that antigen. You have an undiagnosed intolerance to gluten, which means, at worse you're gonna have the $h!t$ for a while, I am sorry, that sucks, but you ain't gonna die. The only fast food worth eating!!!! Not only is their food delicious and fair priced, but the owners are a local family that are beyond friendly!!! My family has a very busy life and sometimes it's nice to eat out. I'm very strict about fast food but will make the exception for Taco Tree. We had always used the drive thru, but one day I was in between events with my family and decided to eat inside. What a pleasant surprise! First of all, the place was VERY CLEAN!!!!! The restrooms were spotless and the tables all appeared wiped down. Upon ordering, I was very complimentary to the young man taking our order because he was patient, had great product knowledge and was above all GENUINELY FRIENDLY! The man at the register directly next to him heard my compliments and responded by saying "I sure hope so, that's my son and we work here as a family." Well KUDOS mom and dad!!! Taco Tree is an Auburn institution and for good reason they use fresh ingredients, the food is good, and its reasonably priced. The super taco is a meal in itself. If you are in need of a quick meal this is definately the place. Certainly not as good as a sit down Mexican place like Maria's in Grass Valley but for the quick, drive thru meal it perfect. I've eaten at Taco Tree for many years, but I've noticed a bit of a decline recently. The last few times my wife and I have eaten there, they got some part of our order wrong. This particular trip through the drivethru, we asked that they hold the onions on a bean and cheese burrito, give us mild sauce, and to hold the jalapenos on the small nacho because I'm allergic to them. It being well-past dark, my wife applied one of the sauce packets to her taco plus without looking and it turned out to be their well-enspiced variety. More than a little burned by this experience, my wife then tried her bean and cheese burrito, and was somewhat unsurprised to bite into a prodigious portion of onion. So, of course, when I got home and checked the small nachos, they had jalapenos. I am going to eat them, because they are in fact delicious, but I shall be cursing the name of Taco Tree from my fiery perch atop my porcelain throne. read more

I was visiting some friends in the area and I heard Taco Tree out of everyone's mouth at least 10 times while I was there. Everyone made sure I tried it before I left. This place has better tasting food than Taco Bell, but the customer service is a hit or miss. Inside I have experienced great service but @ the window I had to endure (through the window) the conversation between a young man & an older lady (his co-worker, maybe even supervisor) going back n forth using "hella", talking about other co-workers, etc. I absolutely hate this when I go somewhere to eat even if it's just stoppn in through the drive-thru to grab smthing for the kids on the way outta town or whatever. They have also on almost all occasions, not given us a fork when we order the nachos that have everything on them...What are we supposed to eat those with while in the car?! Our fingers?! Auburn Taco Tree is the place to get some really good mex fast food. Prices are good and the food is well made. I usually order the meat burrito and get it with extra sour cream and extra cheese, yum. Lots of different things to eat there, the dining area is clean, normally busy during the day and on the weekends. They have a double drive thru so getting to the cashier is quick, and getting things like jalapenos is by request only and you only get one pill cup size but its stuffed with sliced peppers. they should go bigger on this one. Soda is mixed well not watery by any means. Staff is friendly and learn your name by your second or third visit. Pretty cool. Rest rooms are clean and stocked most times. Ive been gong there for 3 years and they have yet to get my order wrong. this place is a definate GO TO. read more
