Hubby and I have eaten here twice and while the food service was fast and service was ok, I really don't like the food, so my rating is based 100% on the food. We had the nachos "swamp style" like people recommended. The cheese is like 7-11 melted cheese... Not what I expect on nachos. Then we tried them for the breakfast burritos. Just gross. I can't explain this place other than its like taco Bell, but cheaper and fresher. I like taco Bell, but their food tastes stale in comparison to Taco Tree. Taco tree is roughly about an hour uphill from my place in the city. Since trying it, I've made an extra trip up here just to eat it again. Very delicious! read more

Pretty decent tacos I've been coming to taco tree since I was about 6 in summer day camp! Also used to attend placer high school so I've eaten a lot of taco tree! I would try the super burrito or super nacho as they are extremely tasty. read more

The chicken tacos are good. The menu options are simple. It took longer then expected to get food.

1st and foremost you must remember; this is a fast food restaurant. The only others in the area that may be of similar choice are taco bell, del taco and jimboys. Taco tree is most similar to taco bell, only 5 times better. The food is good and clean, and not overpriced. Ignore anyone leaving a negative opinion as they are clearly confused. read more

Well, it's just Taco Bell with a different name, basically. I had the combination burrito and I couldn't tell what was in it. It seemed to me it was just seasoned ground beef. I also had a taco supreme which was a bit better. Fresh lettuce and tomato with ground beef, cheese, and sour cream on a fresh, soft corn tortilla. The chocolate milk shake was the kind they make from chemicals in a machine. It doesn't matter what flavor you order. I really only went there because it's near our house and I was too tired to drive around but my next goal is to find the Best Burrito in Auburn. read more

I'm leaving them a bad review due to their service! The young man working the register was rude from the start you can tell he was in a bad mood. I didn't even feel comfortable placing my order and he made me not want to eat here. Other then that I like their food not authentic but if your in the mood for something similar to taco bell but better go here. read more

Worst experience ever! Missed several items and called. The manager was fine however this was dinner. I just finished an extremely long Christmas in retail. He said I could come back and get what I ordered. I did. I asked for my naxos to be relaxed as they were going to be cold. They said OK. I left without nachos. At this point I don't even want the food! My time with my children was why I came through the drove through in the first place. I should have just made dinner. It would have been cheaper, healthier and QUICKER! I will never come back! read more

The best taco in auburn! I love their mild sauce. I usually ordered 3 tacos and a medium Pepsi. The drive thru sometimes is kinda long. So, I prefer going inside much faster service. Taco Tree is always good. It is a go to for an easy meal for my son, who is still a picky eater at age 7. The tacos and quesadillas are the family favorites. It is our go to stop prior to driving into Grassvalley to see our folks. If you have never tried Taco Tree, you are missing out! read more

Been going here over the last 5 years or so. Been there at least 25 times and the food is consistently good. Had two tacos this morning for breakfast and as usual they were great! Everyone at work likes this Taco Tree too in Auburn on Highway 49 and Dry Creek road. The other Taco Tree in Auburn is good too. Keep up the good work. read more

Nothing but great things to say about this place. The short of it: Service in the drive through was fast and friendly; food was typical take-out but tasty; and, most of all, the prices were reasonable. I will skip Taco Hell any day of the week for this place -- in fact, its my go to place on the drive through town up to the foothills when I must having "something fast." read more

Mexican food like Mom used to make (if your mom is Irish/American and raised in Midwest). But then again, it's not called "El Arbole del Tacos". Fresh ingredients and prompt staff (drive-thru is key) make this an excellent choice if your looking for quick, convenient and quality food. read more

If you go here knowing its just a better option than taco bell (being that the produce and meat seems a little more fresh and tasteful), than you won't be disappointed. If you go here expecting real mexican food, you will be very disappointed. Taco bell always makes me sick so if I want junk food nachos I go to taco tree. I've come here quite a few times and noticed that they are very rarely wearing gloves while preparing food. I have also noticed on multiple occasions that someone will deal with the register and then walk back and begin preparing food without gloves or washing their hands. Today when I went in, I ordered a veggie burrito and upon taking a few bites, I noticed it was chalked full of ground-beef. I immediately stopped eating (as I'm a vegitarian and have been for quite a while, and eating meat at this point would make me very sick,) and took it up to the register. The employee at the register said "oh wow" and proceeded to take the burrito out of my hand and walk back to the employee who had apparently prepared the burrito. She then said loud enough for me to hear (in a very angered tone) "well its half eaten!" And sent him back up to the register to "deal" with me. At that point the employee just said "sorry." And I said "that's all you're going to do?" He told me to hold on as he returned to the back to get the employee who had prepared my burrito. She walked straight up to me and said "yes?" In a very confrontational way. I proceeded to say: "sorrry I just found a lot of meat in my veggie burrito" and she responded, "well I will make you a new one" and I kindly said "at this point I do not want another burrito from here." Unfortunately, she had already walked into the back, and grabbed another burrito, and I was halfway back to my table when she screeched across the restaurant (interrupting everyone in the restaurant) "VEGGIE BURITTO" and slammed it down on the counter on a plastic tray. This caused the entire restaurant to look over at her. Had she said sorry, or not embarrassed me in front of the entire restaurant, I probably would have just forgiven it and awaited my impending food poisoning. However her behavior was unacceptable and that is why I'm leaving one star. Yes mistakes do happen, but that is like adding peanut butter to a sandwich which going to a person highly allergic to peanuts, and then not even apologizing for your mistake even though it could be life threatening. (Will be obtaining the employees name and alerting the restaurant owner to this awful customer service.) read more
