First make sure you have the right address because as of today Yelp doesn't have it. This truck is at 9707 W. Fairview. So on to the food. I was so tempted to try their tamales but went with #3 combination-- tostada, 2 tacos, rice and beans. The beef in the tostada was tender and generous. Same for the chicken in the tacos. Everything tasted fresh. I also tried the birria consommé and it was fabulous. I'll go for the quesabirria next time. Friendly owner and the food came out quickly. He was the only one working on a late Friday afternoon so it likely takes longer at busier times. The price for my lunch plus tip was $15 (no drink). All this made me very happy to find them and I will definitely return! read more

Great stop for a quick street taco. Stopped in today, since I was in Autozone and lunch time was nigh. Two adobada and one pastor taco were ordered. The Good - The food was cooked fresh, quickly and perfectly. The truck itself was clean and orderly - not always true for food trucks. The staff was right there to take orders and cook up the food. The tacos here are awesome and affordable. The only complaint I had was when I went back a second time, they didn't have lengua or camera. The owner and his wife were also really nice. Definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Autozone or in the area. read more

Review #24 for 2020. Great food! Taco Veloz is located in the parking lot of Standard Restaurant Supply along Fairview. Service is very nice and quick with no issues. Ordered two tacos al pastor and a carne asada super burrito, and everything tasted great. Salsa was good too! There's covered open seating, but I chose to just stand to wait for my order and took my food home to eat. Checked this place out because some friends recommended it. I'd definitely go back since the food is good, service is nice, and prices are reasonable. Can't ask for more! Happy to support a small business! read more

Taco Veloz is a taco truck located right along bustling Fairview Ave. situated in the parking lot adjacent to A1Games & Pawn. They are in a prime location for a ton of drive-by traffic and even have a nice tented area with tables for dining on site. I do so love a good taco truck. That said, I didn't actually order tacos as the allure of melted cheese proved irresistible --and so, a chicken quesadilla was my order of the day. And, it was a solid quesadilla--not outstanding, lacking a bit of flavor, but overall a satisfying choice. My dining companion ordered their Carne Asada which was also reportedly good but not great. The service was top notch (the owner/chef had never heard of Yelp so we had a good time showing him all the glowing reviews that directed us here--and he seemed delighted to see them). I think, overall, given that most of the reviews center on their tacos--I need to come back and actually try their tacos. This leaves me to ponder whether or not this is sort of an instance where an unspoken rule (that shall now be spoken...or at least, written) is in order: When one dines at a taco truck--order the tacos. We'll see as I plan to go back and do just that--until then, 3 stars it is. read more

Great taco wagon soon morphing into a brick-and-mortar home. Taco Veloz is currently remodeling the former Los Beto's location (or, if you go way back, the Kentucky Fried Chicken) just down the road across the street from KTVB. I'm looking forward to the decidedly better meals that will soon be coming out of that building. Los Beto's was OK, but nothing special and their employees were almost surly. Something that hasn't changed any with their new building up the street. The carne asade, al pastor and even the legua tacos at Taco Veloz are outstanding. The people who run it are nice. read more

Great tacos!! This taco truck is on Fairview, ive always wondered if it was a legit place for tacos, after reading some reviews on yelp I had to check it out myself. I ended up getting tacos the first time, double tortillas, just the way they should be, tasty meat, from asada to lengua to carnitas, all very tasty. This may be weird, but to me the refried beans, if you get the number 1 meal you get sides of bean and rice, were the STAR of my meal, they tasted so freaking good!! Second time i had their burrito, wasnt bad, but i felt like the meat ratio was lacking. This spot has been a current stop for me since i first ate there. Ive stopped 3 times this month alone and will be visiting this taco truck many more time! read more

This place was rated #3 in the state of Idaho for tacos so of course while in Boise I had to go try it! Took some doing because the truck has moved. It's now located at 8620 W. Fairview Ave. in front of Idaho Swim and Sun Shop. Started with the Adobada and Carnitas then went back for the Pastor! The Pastor was amazing!!! Well worth the hassle to track them down! read more

Decent tacos- Mexico City I believe, would not be my go to, but I wouldn't complain either. The people are friendly and you can get a quick bite. There's another food truck right next to it, and it's close to the road so it's not out of the way. read more

Being a California transplant I've had some phenomenal traditional Mexican food and as a result have naturally developed some pretty particular taste buds when it comes to Mexican. I was out and about running errands and I suddenly became hangry. Yes- HANGRY. For some unknown reason I found myself suddenly craving Mexican and nothing else would do. A quick Yelp search and I found this gem. Quick, easy, affordable and damn was it delicious. I'm a true sucker for a good street taco, the slightly greasy kind (because let's be real, this is not a grease-free or calorie friendly meal either way) with the crispy bits of steak and simple toppings of onions, cilantro and lime.....extra lime for me. 5 of these small but seriously delicious tacos had me smiling for the rest of the day. Now if only I could get them to move closer to my side of town....although that may not be the best thing for me or my hips. read more

It's a taco truck in a strip mall and I applaud them for staying out in this heat and bringing us delicious tacos. I've tried the lengua, asada, and carnitas and they're all to die for. Hands down, the best taco truck in the Treasure Valley. Fast service, priced right, great location, ample parking, and GREAT food. I ordered 3 tacos (cabeza & lengua), and they were so good, I immediately returned for another 5, with the rice and beans. There are three other taco trucks in Nampa & Caldwell that I visit regularly, but this one is now my favorite. Highly recommended! read more

This is one of my favorite taco places, so I'm so glad to see from other reviews that it hasn't gone out of business, but is just moving to a brick-and-mortar store! My favorites at the truck were the tacos adobada. I like their lengua tacos, too, but in my opinion they're not quite so good as the ones at Tacos El Rey. Their non-taco choices are also good, but as their name indicates, if you're looking for super-fast food, order the tacos. The other items take a lot longer to come out. (Of course, that may soon change with their move to an actual building.) I'd also like to point out that they there is a second Taco Veloz (Primos) located in the parking lot of the Whitney church on Overland . . . and it's pretty good, too! read more

It's rare that I find a place worthy of a good review but tacos veloz is more than worthy. I had the #1 with 2 asada and 3 pastor and surprisingly I liked the asada more... The pastor was a little too sweet imo. I just moved here from LA and finding even decent Mexican food here is nearly impossible, so I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled across this place. It looks and tastes like home. I will definitely be coming here often. read more

I love this taco truck and continued to eat there even after the relocation of Los Betos.It seems the owner of the lot under which it has been parked for many years was looking to increase revenue from the land which resulted in the parking spaces being filled with used cars for sale.Then the large shade tree which the truck was parked was unceremoniously removed. If this truck shows up in your neighborhood, get the 5 taco combo with rice and beans.Comes with rice and beans and a soda in a can for 9 bucks. Their lingua tacos are also good. Also post their new location so I can find them. read more

Final chance and they really missed on the third try... same same frozen french fries and the burgers were very off. My wife's burger didn't have any of the toppings that it was supposed to have and when I brought it back to them, they tried giving me excuses on why it did not have the toppings on it... "Well, it's because you tried to make a modification to it". The only modification I asked for was to get a brioche bun instead of a potato bun. He then continued to manhandle the burger in front of me while he looked to see what toppings it was supposed to have. I have no problem with paying good money for good food but when we pay over $50 for our meal for two out of a food truck and they miss that bad, that is frustrating. We will not be going back.

The white ball thing is like eating mashed potatoes and bread, glutinous and very satisfying. It's not sweet. It's like a tortilla or a biscuit. Use the pounded yam thing to scoop the soup. The soup wasn't spicy at all. Even though their description stated "spicy". Towards the last few bites I could feel some heat building but I was over come by happiness at I barely noticed. I will go again. I am just so happy. Watch out for bones.

We got some tacos as well and not sure if she mixed up another ordered but we were short 3 tacos on our order and that was a bummer.. I was really looking forward to them. Their asada, carnitas, el pastor were all really good and authentic flavor and loved that the pastor had the pineapple chunks as well. One thing I did dislike was I asked about chips order and it said $5 when I asked her if I can just have a couple, she was a bit confused and asked the lead there. Apparently they didn't have chips in their truck and had to go find them. That should have been my no thank you but I figured ohh let's give them a try. Once we got to our house and saw the $5 chips I was honestly a bit upset they were store bought nacho chips. Tacos are $2.50 I don't understand why chips are $5 and they aren't even like your traditional Mexican chips or something along those lines. That was my only downfall to this place but those are just chips. Their food was honestly good no doubt about it when we were ordering they had a few people eating there and a few to go orders. Maybe take them off the menu or make little baggies and purchase chips from a Mexican store or make your own tostadas..

Torta Cubana - wow! My hubby ordered this, and I got a couple super tacos which were really good. But the torta! I will be dreaming of this until we go back again. Also, don't let the exterior deter you. We passed by once and didn't stop because of that, but we didn't make that mistake today. read more

The family that runs the truck is super friendly and welcoming. The truck has a nice canopy to sit under during the hot months of the year with about 4 picnic tables. The truck has traditional Mexican street taco options. This last visit I ordered their 3 Taco Plate which includes rice, beans, and a drink. The beans were as expected. The rice on the other hand was not. Rough. The texture of the rice seemed instant and the flavor reminded me of fried rice. It was odd. I would not consider their rice traditional. The 3 tacos that I ordered were Asada and Pastor. Like my previous visits, the tortillas that the truck uses fall apart pretty quickly. The meats were dry and lacked flavor. I really want to like this place given its location, but I have been disappointed with all my visits this year. There are other taco trucks in the area that I would recommend first. Cheers Always!
