Stopped by EggBoy and overall had a solid experience. I ordered the bacon, egg & cheese and added sausage. The sandwich itself was tasty. Eggs cooked well, good flavor, and very satisfying once it hit the table. Now let's talk about the loaded spuds, because wow. Those things are dangerously good. Crispy, flavorful, and seriously addictive. Easily one of the highlights of the meal and something I'd come back for alone. That said, there were a couple of hiccups. They forgot to add the sausage to my sandwich, and service was a bit slow. However, it was clear they were in the weeds, so it felt more like a busy-rush issue than poor service. Things happen. All in all, the food delivers, especially the loaded spuds, and I'd definitely give EggBoy another shot, just hoping for a smoother service experience next time.

I've been 2x and love them! I mean- biscuits and gravy with bacon instead of sausage blew my mind and made me return! Not to mention their coffee is delicious, service is fast and friendly and besides numerous breakfast sandwiches on the menu they also have breakfast plates- John's preferred breakfast. Casual dining room, love the eggy vibes! Will be back!

I'd been wanting to try EggBoy for ages and finally found myself in the area on a recent Saturday, so I popped in for a late breakfast. To reiterate what other folks have observed, the parking is a bit difficult, and the location is small -- definitely not the size for a group gathering on the weekend, for example. I ordered the sunrise bagel (hold the bacon) and a fresh orange juice and got lucky enough to grab a seat. The cashier took $1 or $2 off the bagel price, which is a huge plus for folks like me who don't really eat meat. The orange juice was pricey ($6, I think?) but absolutely delicious -- definitely fresh squeezed. The bagel sandwich was a mixed bag. The bagel itself was good; full of flavor and a nice texture. The toppings were a bit underwhelming. I think the egg was a little underseasoned and neither the eggs nor the cheese were warm. The hot sauce wasn't really hot in my book, but I know that's really subjective! And the sandwich was on the smaller side, too; that's not necessarily a bad thing, just an observation...especially with prices the way they are these days. Speaking of which, the total with tip was $21, which I feel is on the pricier side for what I got, but again...that's less EggBoy's fault and more a reflection of where the economy is these days. So while things weren't perfect, I'd definitely pop in again.

The potatoes are so good. This is a spot in a bush lot with limited parking but it's really good. If you're close it may be a better takeout spot. They could benefit from a bigger spot but they make do with what they have.

This is a local place that prides itself on anything you can think of with egg as a sandwich. I got the S.E.C (sausage, egg, and cheese). This was a sausage with scrambled eggs on a brioche bun with American cheese. This was a good sandwich and as I got my food I glanced over in the booth and saw an assortment of hot sauces. I decided to try this horseradish and cayenne pepper medley and I couldn't have been more thrilled with my choice. I am not sure if it was the horseradish but all of sudden this bland but good egg Sammie just became amazing. I ended up asking if they sold the hot sauce and to my delight they did. The people there are friendly and will attend to you so you are not waiting for them. The atmosphere is like a diner which I like the nostalgia of being able to see the chefs cook.

The brunch café was bustling when we arrived which was a clear sign of its popularity. Though we had to wait briefly, the mouthwatering aromas kept us excited while we waited in line. I ordered the Arlington sandwich with a Matcha drink. It was packed with a turkey sausage, eggs, avocado, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and honey dijonnaise on a jumbo English muffin. It was a bit messy but flavorful. The Matcha was lightly sweet and refreshing. My partner chose the SEC sandwich with maple pepper sausage, eggs, American cheese, and honey dijonnaise on a brioche bun, plus a dry cappuccino--he liked them both. The café's small size made it feel cramped, and a few flies were quite distracting a bit. Our clothes also picked up some kitchen smells due to the open cooking space. Still, the food was delicious and the lively atmosphere added to the charm. We left satisfied and already thinking about what to try next time. A memorable brunch spot! Also, always check the special menu as you'll find some great creations.

Finally made it on a weekday when it wasn't totally packed! The BEC was definitely tasty and I'd order it again. The cafe con leche was lukewarm with cinnamon notes which I wasn't quite a fan of.

Had to update my review: Over a year later and we are still coming back. The loaded spuds were made with so much love! The S.E.C & the red Forman are our go-to's. You can tell the staff is working hard to pump out food, with quick service. Damian gave us our food and we had a quick chat. He was so kind and it really made our morning. 10/10, we will continue to come back!

Me and the hubby visited Eggboy a while back. The restaurant is really quaint and stays busy. You may not be able to get seating but the breakfast sandwiches that we ordered during brunch were good. Make your way to this local breakfast/brunch spot.

This is how a breakfast sandwich should be made. Got the everything bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese -- asked for my egg over medium and they got it exactly right. Bagel was soft, everything was fresh. When you can customize your order and they actually execute it, that's the move. Egg Boy is the standard.

The food is good! The "Sidewinder Potatoes" are a new take on an old breakfast staple. Beer battered and crispy they were a treat. Moist and buttery scrambled eggs and turkey sausage made the perfect brecky delight. Better than Grumpys and fresher than keke's. With friendly service, a comfortable deli style ambiance, average pricing, all in house made sausage and potatoes, and a great smash burger, it's a must have breakfast experience if you're in NE Jacksonville. This place gets my highest marks.

I finally had a chance to try Eggboy on a Saturday morning after a beach walk. The menu items marked with an egg are the top sellers. Jason helped this first timer and suggested the Sunrise bagel sandwich served with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, avocado and sriracha. Oh my goodness! This sandwich was delicious;))) It was hot and I loved that the bagel was grilled yet still soft as I do not eat hard bagels. The sandwich was very filling as I was only able to eat half. I ate the other half a few hours later lol. For coffee lovers they have a huge selection. I ordered an iced tea and mixed the sweet and unsweet which made it perfect! I also ordered a blueberry Cinotti's donut to go. You can tell the staff enjoy their job and working with each other which makes the atmosphere comfortable and cozy. I can't wait to bring a friend next time and try another menu item.

Tried their breakfast burrito on the way to work. The burrito was a good size and perfect for breakfast, but I felt like it was missing just a little kick. Will try a few more of their breakfast sandwiches and coffee if I have time on my way to work in the future. The military discount was nice too.

Everything on the menu is delicious, the staff is wonderful, and they stand up to bigotry in their own backyard. You can't get much better than that. The only drawback (if you can even consider it one) is just figuring out a good time to arrive to avoid a line. Regardless, even if there is one, the staff moves through it quickly and efficiently. As Sub Cultured is a walk-up window, there's some outside tables to sit, as well as the option of sitting in your car for that car-hop action. Otherwise, you're so close to the beach and parks that taking your sandwiches for a picnic isn't a bad idea either. If you can't find parking immediately at Sub Cultured, there's a little shopping center just next door since there doesn't seem to be much for street parking outside of their handful of spots. All of that said, I'm a transplant to Jacksonville via the Navy since 2004. One of the biggest cravings that I have from back home is a real authentic sausage, pepper, and onion grinder. I can't even begin to describe to y'all how great Sub Cultured's is with that spicy Italian sausage and perfectly cooked peppers and onions. Add a little spicy brown mustard and you're all set.

I was a little incredulous that a former Sailor could run an Asian restaurant with such awesome ramen! Well, now I believe everything I heard. As a former sailor, upon entry I immediately fell in love with the Navy decor, pictures, and even the tables in the dining area had the seals of ships and other commands past and present on the table top art that gave a tremendous nostalgic feel to an old sea warrior like me! OK, I was a Chaps - I gave spiritual support to those warriors. Nevertheless, the ramen bowls here are a work of artistic beauty! I felt like I needed to stare at my meal for an hour before daring to touch it! On this day, we had the Bayou Ramen and the Traditional Ramen. The Bayou Ramen has a real Cajun spicing to it - unmistakable in every way. It has some heat to it, but not heavy - I'd say it was just about right for my taste. The shrimp and sausage in it were perfectly prepped - I could have taken some home but didn't - just couldn't stop eating this! It also included carrots, corn, a seasoned egg, scallions, ramen noodles in chicken bayou broth. If you like ramen of a Cajun variety, you'll love this! The traditional ramen bowl was pretty basic. You could have a choice of broth, but the basic version has little to no heat factor. It comes with roast pork, bok choy, carrots, corn, seasoned eggs, scallions, ramen noodles. I had the leftovers of this ramen bowl the next day and it was outstanding too! In addition, when you come here, you MUST get the fried chicken! It's among the best I've ever tasted. It's definitely bested KFC in my book! Anyone who wants to try a solid ramen restaurant which classic offerings and some creative versions of ramen, must visit Hangar Bay! I will add that the service we received as terrific! For a little while, I felt like I was eating on the mess deck again! I'll surely be back! Recommend: VERY HIGH!

The flavors were nice and everything was prepared well. However, and this may be just my opinion but, if you're going to call your food truck "The Fried Egg" perhaps eggs should be a part of the make up of most of you menu items. Given the current menu options I think a better name for this truck would be "The Fried Egg is a $1 add-on option." I mentioned to the young lady taking my order that it surprised me that, given the name of the truck, I would have to pay an up charge for an egg. She relayed my sentiments to the cook, who may have been the manager or owner. Nevertheless, I ordered the Classic Smash Burger and did ask for the fried egg add-on. The food was prepared really quickly and the burger looked perfect. However, the young lady informed me that unfortunately they only had 4 eggs left and that they all fell and broke on the floor before my burger was ready. So she handed me a $1 bill as a refund.
