This place had the vibe of street vendors of the San Fernando Valley in the comfort of a super clean restaurant. Lively chatter, positive energy from the staff, and Mexican music. The staff doesn't just greet you at the door, they full on cheer when you enter. Efrain was at the counter to take your order and he's one cool dude. Friendly, energetic, and funny. Hats off to Efrain. But the food stole the show. I got a two taco combo place with asada and tripa. Sssooo good. The asada beef was so tender. Onion cilantro and guac. The trip was perfectly crispy and not too oily or fatty. Homemade tortillas. All the ingredients tasted exactly how they were supposed to taste like. Nothing overwhelming. Hey Everyone, Ya girl is back from a long hiatus...... but, I have to shout out Tacomasa in LA!!! Sheesh the Tacos were so Delicious! Our family hopped off the plane and was starving so we checked out the reviews on Yelp for tacos and we went for it! The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in. They explained the menu and offered their recommendations. I got 3 tacos two with Pollo (chicken) and one with Carne (steak) and my husband got Carintas (pork). The meat tasted fresh nice amount of meat in each taco! And they kept it simple and authentic with just meat, onions, cilantro. No need for all the extra like lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. I added guacamole which by the way was smooth nicely flavored and full. The rice was light and flavorful. The side portion was small I would have liked more for real I was Hangry!! Outside sitting also available and with Cali weather it was perfect! They had Aqua Fresca and horchata! And many other soda options. Only recommendation would be to refresh the restrooms more often. Everyone is so friendly and helpful they all welcome you when you come in the door. I wish I had the name of the gentleman the took our order he was so nice and even offered us fresh samples of the meat while we were deciding. I don't mean off a try at the register, he went into the kitchen and got it off the grill! BTW... We sampled the Tongue & Cactus and I recommend both!! We both had the Taco Combo (2 tacos, rice, beans & small drink) It filled us both up, the tacos are huge for a street taco style and the toppings are plentiful they also include side sauces paired to the taco you order! We both ordered a Tongue & Asada Taco 5Stars. The rice and beans are also very good! Inside looks like a a Tijuana taco stand! I love it!! They have standing tables inside and tables with chairs on the patio. Everything is clean including the shared parking lot. I can see that the lot would be full at lunch time this was a Saturday evening and it was pretty tight. Very big and delicious tj style tacos, I tried asada, al pastor and tripa. Tripa and asada were my favorite, they are pricey but they are also BIG, not your typical taco truck tacos. Place gets very busy but parking didn't seem to be an issue. Plan to bring the family back to try them. read more

When you walk in, the entire staff greats you. the cashier asked me if it was my first time there which it was and she asked me if I wanted to try any meat and I said the al pastor. I had already looked at the menu prior to coming in and knew I wanted a chicken taco, steak taco combo with the rice and beans and a drink. The rice was not fresh, it taste like it was 2 to 3 day old rice. The beans were hot and fresh. Very good. The Al pastor was the best meat the carne asada was OK and the chicken was OK. They have a large variety of drinks and their specialty drinks like Jamaica, horchata, etc. For the two taco combo and a taco on the side I ended up paying $25 and that was with the tip. I probably won't return again. I need everything to be fresh and I'm not spending money on food that's a couple days old. But like I said great service and very friendly staff. read more

This time Eri helped me and she was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Food was as always. This time I switched it up and got a burrito protein style with no tortilla and it still hit just as hard. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and portioned right. And you have to try their agua frescas. They have a great variety and they are actually refreshing, not overly sweet like a lot of places. Ok, I like the concept of this place. Retro, music and tacos. We came here late at night, toward the end of the day and the staff was still helpful and attentive. They also have a small selection of Mexican snacks. I can appreciate that. It's the details. It is a little pricey compared to other places and I'm not saying the food was bad but it wasn't all that for the portions size and taste. Summary: Fantastic food. Highly recommend the Adobada in any form (mulita and taco were gold). The carne asada is also very good, but #2 to Adobada imo. The elote was also very good, but a little messy on the cob vs in a cup (and had a nice light tang, vs being having lots of the chipotle crema on it). The inside is pretty spartan with limited seating (there are some tables outside in the patio area) and limited trash cans/napkin dispensaries/etc. Salsas were tasty but definitely not particularly spicy. I finally tried Tacomasa and it was a solid choice. I ordered three asada tacos, one with cheese, and elote corn. The meat in the tacos was tasty, though I felt it could've used a bit more seasoning, but still good overall. The elote was one of my favorites from the entire meal. I also have to shout out Karla at the front. It was my first time there, and I had a ton of questions. She was super sweet and really helpful, which made the experience even better. On my way out, they offered me a sample of their adobada pork, and that was the standout! It was perfectly seasoned and super flavorful. Next time, I'm definitely getting the adobada pork tacos instead of the asada. The homemade tortilla shells were deliciously soft, fresh, and they really elevated the tacos. I paired everything with a pineapple Jarritos, and it rounded out the meal perfectly. Stumbled upon this new little gem in El Segundo- so delicious! The tortillas are freshly made to order. The sazón (flavor) of the tacos is spot on! I ordered the Taco Combo that comes with 2 tacos, a beverage and a side of rice and beans - great deal and filling. The taco portions are generous. Tacomasa is a solid Tijuana style Mexican food spot. I came back for the first time in 3 years when i first tried their Long Beach location and they're still as solid as I remember. They have a few more items on their menu now as they now serve breakfast burritos. If my memory serves me right, I believe they served jackfruit tacos at one point 3 years ago as a vegetarian option. It looks like those are now gone but they have nopal (cactus) as an option for those that don't eat meat. I got their asada breakfast burrito which is just steak eggs and cheese. It was the perfect size, flavorful and decently priced. I also got their adobada fries which did not disappoint. They were not too big and not too small and I liked that their adobada was flavorful but not overly seasoned where other types of overly seasoned adobaba give you heartburn after. Not this one! The inside of this el segundo location is nicely decorated it reminds me of being at a taqueria in Tijuana. Most of their table seating is outside but they do have some seating inside that's meant more for standing or sitting facing the fall. Food came out within 10 minutes after ordering. I would come here again and recommend getting their breakfast burritos. They give you one salsa with your order so ask for a few extra because it runs out fast.
