Everytime I order queso rice from this location I might as well open a bag of rice and put cheese on it because my rice from here is never cooked. Bring cash if you want to go through the drive thru or you they'll stick this broom stick into your car window with the pay machine and want a tip. The table was very sticky, as we had to wipe it down with alcohol towelettes. The place was not very busy. The wrap for the tacos just fell apart as soon as you picked it up. The food was good, the message and vision is great. We shared a trio appetizer which was okay. I loved the salsa. The queso runny and lacked flavor. I had the Southwest Salad with mahi-mahi. Again it was okay. The idea of the place (for every meal purchased a meal is given to fight hunger) made it seem like overpaying for the food was part of the agreement. It's good, the tacos are fun and there's a variety of them. It's a local chain known for philanthropy. Go ahead, order that extra taco and give a meal to a child in need. Fast-casual Mexican food. Variety of options. I've had a few tacos, all have been good. And the fresh bowl, which was chicken rice avocado and pico all together. I recommend that as well. The tacos here are definitely over priced but I keep reminding myself each meal you purchase provides another meal for someone in need. "Eat A Meal Give A Meal" This I can dig. My go-tos are usually the carnitas, grilled chicken, and both steak tacos. A lot of people rave about the crab cake taco but I can do without it. The side items here are just ok. I kinda just eat them because they are there. They also offer seasonal bowls and tacos to switch up the menu which can be a plus. This is not a place I would load up on apps and sides. I suggest just sticking to ordering the mains. Tacos, salads, and bowls. All in all...if you're in the area and want some pretty decent tex-mex style tacos. I would give it a try. Love LOVE the mission of donating a meal for every meal sold! The customer service is excellent. Visited for the first time yesterday; it's a clean space with a cute non-traditional take on tacos. I had the salad with grilled mahi-mahi after starting with the queso for the table. I'm not a big queso eater but this one was mild and tasty - add some taco sauce to jazz it up! Wow!! I've been wanting to check this place out since I saw that it was coming to NLR and I am honestly blown away! It is BEAUTIFUL inside and I love the atmosphere. The lady at the front counter was beyond helpful when we were ordering and when I asked for some to go containers and everything and making sure that we got the best deals on our foods. Before we even sat down from getting our drinks there was a young man waiting to give us our cheese dip, and then I could barely eat a few chips and then our food was at our table!! I love Tacos for Life. I've been going to the Conway locations for years but Shackleford and NLR aren't the same. The service is nowhere near what it is in Conway. I decided to go through the drive thru today and get nachos. (I always get chicken tacos which are amazing). I only got beans, chicken, and queso and before I drove off, I checked to make sure it was correct and of course took a bite. The beans were cold and my nachos looked awful. There was barely any chicken on my nachos either...maybe 10 little pieces. They literally put beans on one half and queso on one half and chips on the other side. We went to this location on December 22nd and I ordered a rice bowl without cheese, the cashier told me they were out of pesto for the rice and would I like queso on my rice, I told him no I don't eat cheese. When my rice bowl was served, it was just plain white rice. I thought maybe it would have some flavor with the cilantro lime vinaigrette dressing, but it didn't. I was excited to try this place because theres not much good mexican food in the area but its just not that good. We got the korean bbq tacos, chicken and bacon tacos and the mango habenero tacos. Korean bbq tacos were ok, not a whole lot of flavor just sort of soy saucish. Mango habenero was meh. The one with bacon was the best of the bunch but that could be said about anything with bacon. Portions were small, two tacos and a small scoop of rice wasnt filling enough for dinner. We got queso rice and mexican corn both Sides were ok, nothing special again kinda bland. They gave us run of the mill no name packets of hot sauce. What kind of self respecting taco place doesnt even make their own sauces? Prices way too high for the small portions and unspectacular food. At $27 bucks for two 2 taco combos and 2 sodas you better blow me away with taste or fill me the hell up.... this is little rock not Santa Monica. The whole thing about providing meals for kids is awesome but you have to sell customers on your food first, otherwise its just an idea. read more

I came to this restaurant to try the tacos, but I received soooo much more.. There's an employee there by the name of Germonie. Let me tell you, she's an absolute angel. While waiting on my order, I mentioned that I was waiting on a kidney transplant. Without hesitation, Germonie said give me just a sec.. I kid you not, with 5 minutes, Germonie came back with my Tacos & a fresh kidney!!! I was completely floored by this experience.. I'll definitely be back, and referring my friends...
