This place is over priced. The fish tacos were okay but the chips and birria tacos were stale and hard.

Place is just full of fun with a variety of food and drinks. Creativity is up the roof here and everything is delicious.

Interesting place! My dinner companion and I got two different meals and split them for a better variety. We got an order of Four beef taquitos and an order of 2 crispy chicken tacos. Each was $12 and each came with rice, beans, a soft drink, and a serve-yourself salsa bar. Haven't had taquitos in forever but these were really good! They were generous with the guac and cheese topping. I've been to restaurants that don't give much. I think that's one reason I don't order them often. I thought the decor was nice and there was plenty of outdoor seating. Typically this restaurant would get four stars from me but I deducted 2 stars for a several reasons. #1 I like the idea of a salsa bar but when you try to ladle the salsa into the small cups, it's nearly impossible not to spill over the side of the the cup which drips over your fingers and back into the big bowl. Yuk-unsanitary! Maybe provide gloves, but not everyone would wear them. #2 Another ding is because I think they are expensive for a restaurant where you order at the counter. The ''specials'' were $12 but didn't offer a ''combination'' of, say, tacos and taquitos. It's either/or. Ding # 3 is for any Mexican restaurant that doesn't give complimentary chips. I know that happens in other states but free chips is customary in So. California so I didn't like them charging for them. You did get a large container for the salsa. We got the mild green salsa but it wasn't very good. They had a better guacamole type salsa which was a little spicy but tasted much better. Ding #4 is the worst, in my book, and it's the reason I took off a 2nd star. I think the staff is not very friendly. Actually, we went there twice. Ate in the patio the first time and the cashier was fine. Even gave us over-sized Styrofoam bowls to sample the salsa from the bar. When I went back for a couple more to take some salsa for our left-over food, it was a different cashier and she refused to give me anything but some teeny cups. Upon returning to the restaurant a second time for take-out food this time, the cashier, again, was a little snippy. We ordered 2 orders of tacos and one of taquitos plus chips & salsa. With the tip, it was close to $50. We were planning on splitting the meals between 4 people. To make a long story a little shorter...we got a lot fewer chips in our to- go order than we got when we ate in. The container wasn't even full. When I brought this up to a woman on the staff (Mgr, waitress...I don't know), she was unsympathetic. She just said, that's the amt we always give to to-go orders. I asked about refills and those are only for people who eat in. She ultimately said, ''I'll give an extra one just this one time.'' No problem. Not planning on going back. She even called me sweetheart. Pretty condescending. In any case, asking for more chips at a Mexican restaurant shouldn't have been a big deal. read more

The cashier was friendly and helped me pick out a dish that had a lot of meat. "Mulitas" is what she recommended. Mulitas are basically a double-deck quesadilla with two tortillas and meat on the inside. They're loaded with gooey melted cheese and a flavorful carne asada, with crispy tacos on both sides. I ordered the Torre De Mariscos tower of succulent shrimp, regular shrimp, octopus, scallops, cucumber, avocado, purple onions, and English Cucumbers. The presentation was beautiful and the seasoning was perfect. Johnathan, I really appreciate the care you took. The only thing I would change would be for the Octopus to be more tender, but I am not convinced that this is the restaurants fault. The other things that I truly loved were the cooked beans by the salsa bar. I could eat bowls of that by themselves, soooo good. And the pickled Jicama was also really really good! So I ask her if she can find out not happily she goes back and ask and comes back and says no. So I order taquitos and my son places to order for tacos and ask to make sure that there isn't flour in them due to be allergic to flour. Bad customer service when i went last week a lady took forever and was on her phone a lot and would just walk around and not attend peace

Went there to try something different. We had a lot of couple of different things. It came out to $142. That WAS NOT including all the other beers we order later. I was like damn for this?? I can definitely make it for cheaper. It didn't hit the spot either. I added the pictures so you can see what we got. We went around 2ish pm so it was happy hour- was not - they still charged us full price for all the beers we ordered. Sad really when we asked if we can get happy hour and the guy flat out said, "No it's up to the computer." Oh ok. Very rude with the other "helper guys" too. Great place. Not. Keep reading it gets worse. The ladies there are really nice and helpful. Too bad they weren't dealing with the beer area. We left close to 4ish pm. We brought the left overs home. So later on in the day I wasn't feeling well. My stomach feels like I ate too much. But I didn't eat a lot. We all went to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night sick!! Really sick- I won't get into it. But I got food poisoning. Then a couple of hours later the rest of my family got it. It was great we were all sick. We are on our 3rd day- getting a little better. Positive reviews are glazing way too hard. 4 tacos birria and two beers, one was a michi came out to $49. They have so much staff for how empty it is whenever me and my wife go. Delicious comfort food! We stopped by during the week to get some tacos since I was craving them, and we heard some great things about this place. I ordered the street taco combo, which comes with 3 tacos, rice, beans, and a drink. I didn't realize it, but you can only order one type of meat. I may have just went with 3 street tacos of my choice and a drink instead if I knew ahead of time. My boyfriend got the hot Cheeto nachos, and they were HUGE. It was a massive plate. They don't skimp out on the serving sizes (same with the meat on my tacos). We thought it was a tad pricey, but the serving sizes are pretty big! I love enchiladas and I've tried them from most of the Mexican restaurants in Hemet. I finally got around to trying some from Tacos and Beer for carry out. I was pleased to see that they had many fillings to choose from including Al Pastor. I ordered the 4 enchiladas Al pastor online and the process was pretty easy and they were ready on time. I will say that the quantity of food for the $17 price was good. I actually got two meals out of it...two enchiladas right away for dinner and the other two the next day for lunch. The downside is that they were totally devoid of flavor. The Al pastor meat was disappointingly tasteless and tough. Likewise the sauce (my favorite part of any enchilada) was bland despite being generously applied. The potatoes on top were a nice touch but they were missing the carrots that the menu had mentioned. You have to pay before you even sit down (so if you have crappy service or they get your order wrong which they did) you have to walk back up to the counter and wait there. The nachos were not good but the birria tacos were good. I asked for a cup for water I had already ordered a margarita and they gave me this tiny cup.. when I asked if I could get a bigger cup for water they said "no they couldn't give it to me." The birria ramen looked delicious but it was such a bust. Super oily even for birria the noodles had no flavor the broth just tasted like oil/fat no real birria flavor coming thru.
