THE BEST SPOT for birria tacos!! My friend's mom recommended this taco truck and I'm so glad she did. The tacos are so flavorful and fresh. (Birria sauce is included but I didn't get a picture). Price is more than reasonable. There are a couple small tables right outside the truck for you to eat- would be best for lunch on a sunny day or takeout. I'm pretty sure area isn't the best at night so I would come during the day. There's street parking nearby. Service was super quick! This place got some of the best tacos I have ever had. I have passed by this truck many times but I have never eaten here due to me thinking it wasn't as good as the taco trucks on the main streets. Not joking. We went twice within 6 hour and ate both times. We went at 3:00 for lunch before we went to an event. 4 chicken tacos. Everything on it. Let's go. Tacos stuffed. Fresh guacamole. Chopped and seasoned chicken. All withing 10-15min. We smashed the tacos, and dipped to the event. 6:00 pm we were done and BOTH of us were thinking about how good those tacos were. The best. Seeing the other reviews is making me regret even more that I have developed a shrimp allergy. Fuh! The carnitas are superb. So good that I never stray. They are crispy and soggy on that crispy yet soft tortilla. I usually order no less than three tacos and the plate always comes with a healthy portion of both thickly sliced grilled onions and an avocado salsa. All along side some radish and a grilled and salted long pepper. When I'm eating this taco, I usually drip on my chips (aka onions). The added bonus is the seating area. Santiago and Ana make the best tacos. They have been running this stand for years and it is indeed a fixture in the neighborhood, a community gathering spot. But someone had to put it on yelp :/ ie, set the stage for the continuing gentrification and commodification of Oakland's diverse cultures and communities. Not only is it, in my opinion, the best place to get a burrito in Oakland from a truck (especially the shrimp and steak) but you also get a lot of food for the price ($10 for a burrito).
