Al pastor regular burrito.
Sharon P.

This isn't my first visit to this location but I've never left a review. I bought the al pastor burrito which was a little more spicier for my enjoyment. I ate the majority of it and shared the rest with my son. He said that the burrito was very tasty, he wasn't a fan of the salsa. But he said the al pastor was seasoned well. I guess if I go back and try the al pastor again I will ask them to put the sauce on the side. Cuz I would really like to know what the al pastor taste like without burning my taste buds. I always enjoy the carne asada from this location. Most often, I used to go and get the carne fries. I got the regular burrito which came up to 1199. It was a good size portion burrito. The Supreme comes with cheese and sour cream. If you're interested in that it's $1 more. There was plenty of seating when I went, cuz I went at 3:00 p.m. I know they tend to get busy during the lunch hour because of all of the warehouse wirkers in the area probably come and eat. But I have no complaints about this location, and staff was very friendly.

We dined in on a Sunday during lunch hours, it was busy with church just ending and the staff knocked out the orders quick!! The food tasted amazing! Loved we are able to pack our own sauces and jalapeños/onions. Will definitely be back!

Not what I ordered I ordered crunchy tacos

I ordered crunchy tacos and instead was given soft tacos upset because I only have a 30 minute lunch no time to take it back

Best queso birria tacos and broth. Super flavorful and they dont skimp on meat. Good size. Horchata is also very good, not super sweet. Great service, very clean and modern inside. Also, there is a super charger in the same lot.

The food was extremely salty to where we weren't able to finish it. The chicken was alittle dry. It was cubed.

Our table was right next to a metal utility rack they were using to store menus and cleaning products. That's fine, but my head was close to a spray bottle and a bottle of Lysol, which wasn't ideal. They were very busy, so we had high hopes for great food. Unfortunately, many of the items were bland. The beans and rice were especially underwhelming, with very little flavor--you can tell from the picture that the rice is basically plain white rice. My flautas were crunchy with fresh toppings, but the meat lacked flavor. My meal came with a bowl of fideo, but it wasn't delivered before my meal like it was for other tables. In fact, I had to ask for it after our food arrived, which makes me think I wouldn't have received it otherwise. After we finished eating, it took about 15 minutes to get our check. The servers were clearly very busy, but it would have been nice to leave sooner. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back. The noise level was overwhelming, and the food was just okay. If I did return, I wouldn't order anything that comes with beans and rice.

Stopped by Fondita after a recommendation from my cousin and he delivered! Let's get into it…read more.. Ambiance - Fondita is a smallish restaurant, but can still cater to groups big or small. The maximum occupancy is 49 people, but it felt roomier inside than that. The decor is okay and the place seemed clean overall. Service - Service was pretty good. Our server was very friendly, and service wasn't bad. The only blemish was she did not check in on refills very frequently. I managed to get one, but my wife did not. By the time she asked again, we had finished our meal and were ready to go. A pretty small blemish, and not a dealbreaker for us. Food - The food was outstanding. My wife got the fajitas and they looked great! She loved them. I got the alambres and they were fantastic. Add in the homemade tortillas (both flour and corn) and it's an easy five stars! Their rice, beans, and salsa were all good too. No complaints at all with the food. Overall, I'd definitely come back again. The food was great, the people were super friendly and welcoming, and we were able to get a table right away. It's very close to the freeway, so when coming from out of town it's an easy on/off too. Great spot!

The restaurant is small and not in the greatest location, but the food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. I can't wait to go back! The tortilla chips are a mix of corn and flour, which was a nice surprise. Literally everything we ordered was so good! I went with the build-your-own combo plate and chose a cheese enchilada, beef taco, and beef flautas. My entire plate was delicious, including the rice and beans. The homemade tortillas were so fresh and tasty. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed their food. We split the three-piece quesabirria tacos, and they were excellent. I chose the gravy cheese enchilada for my combo plate, but I also tried my partner's green chili chicken enchilada--both were great. You can choose between red, green, or gravy sauce for the enchiladas, and I definitely want to try the red next time. Don't be turned off by the unassuming storefront and corner location. This place is serving up some seriously delicious food, and it's absolutely worth the visit!

I chose La Mesa because the first time we went I was very impressed with the delicious drinks and the short rib enchiladas. The atmosphere is so special and intimate whether you're on a date or with family. Both times we went, our servers were friendly and checked on us appropriately. Our server yesterday was handling making drinks at the bar and serving other tables that were there for Valentine's Day, but she still provided us with really good customer service (not sure of her name but she was wearing a pink shirt). We ordered a few drinks that included a strawberry horchata with rum, and a special one for Valentine's Day called the cupids kiss. They really stood out to me with how cute and yummy they were. For an appetizer, we ordered birria French fries. I was surprised that it had the consommé because I assumed it would make the fries soggy.... But it did not! They were AMAZING. The birria was tender and delicious, the flavor had a lot of depth in the consommé. For our entrees, we both cannot get enough of the short rib enchiladas with the mole sauce. They are our favorite. I really am just grateful that there is a restaurant like this that cares about the food they share with their customers. In the past, we ate at restaurants for my birthday where they didn't take as much pride or care about what they served. My birthday dinner at La Mesa felt very special to me and my boyfriend. Thanks a bunch we look forward to our return visit!
