I really enjoy the fact that I have a go to Taco truck. No flashy signs to me means more focus on the food and it definitely shows. I typically get just a regular burrito and street tacos, but it's the flavor of the meat that really gets me. Carne Asada has great flavor. I also get the. Adobo chicken, really good flavor and of course their al pastor. I go here regularly and am glad I'm walking distance to this! They always have people coming here as well which is a good sign! 5 start for consistency in flavor and good price point for you to enjoy and wanting to come back! Did a sampler of al pastor, carnitas, lengua, and carne asada tacos. Verdict: Bland flavorless meats. When I need to take a second bite to determine if I'm eating my carnitas or steak taco, that's not a good sign. The carnitas wasn't shredded, it was little cubes of meat remarkably similar in appearance to the carne asada especially under a dollop of the same salsa. Plus the carne asada was pretty bland tasting making me originally wonder if it was pork. The al pastor was average at best. The lengua was the the best of the batch. Super tender as you would expect, but still lacked a little something somehting. The hot salsa? Not hot. The front of the truck says El Zamorano in Oakland on it. Thanks. The burritos and other items in the menu are okay. but then again I don't really expect much from a food truck. This is my favorite burrito period. I always order the super steak and the reason I like it is their secret cilantro sauce. It's tangy with a little kick and in every bite. The way you make your al pastor and grill your tortillas extra crispy for your burritos makes me feel special every time. Sometimes I will be without any cash, and feel like I am betraying you by going to Subway. But I know that next time, one of your wonderful asada tacos will be patiently waiting for me. I was a little weary of the truck, but always seems to have a good-sized crowd around it. I decided to give it a shot last week. I got a regular carnitas burrito (no cheese). It was pretty big for a regular burrito because it was fully of pork goodness. I have to admit that it was pretty flavorful too. I usually like black beans but they don't have them - only pinto. Maybe the flavor is from the pork fat (ummmm pork fat), but i guess that's ok occasionally. I'll probably go again next week and try the al pastor another reviewer recommended. read more

Cilantro makes everything better. I would have been happy with my super vegetarian (i have a don't ask don't tell policy with beans) burrito without it, but the perfect sprinkling of cilantro in every bite made it extremely enjoyable to the max. AL PASTOR!! AL PASTOR!! They are HUGE, meats are plenty and very tasty, ingredients are always fresh and well prepared. All for $ 5. My favorite is Pork Al Pastor! LENGUA BURRITO is almost equally good! It has just a tad of that wild-taste but if that bothers you then you could "hide" it some cilantro and hot sauce. Here's pleasant surprise, HOT DOG! It is one of the better hot dogs I've had anywhere. It's juicy, flavorful, and well-balanced with their own sauce. I eat from them 2 or 3 times a week since they are only a short 10 min walk from my work. I am hoping that they will stay put for a long time to come! Service is always friendly and fast. They have a designated person taking order & handling cash, for which I highly commend them. This is my go-to Taco Truck. I've been stopping by for years, and (I feel like a grandma saying this) it's been nice to watch the girls at the counter grow up. They are always friendly and polite (ok, that's another dose of grandma-ness). My friends who turned me on to this truck rave about their chicken burritos, but since I'm vegetarian, I can't speak to that. All I know is they've mastered the art of mushy-hot-flaky-cheezy goodness that makes for good burr-eatin'. Word to the wise -- they are closed on Sundays. It's quite painful to forget that fact and then drive to Emeryville only to see that the truck is nowhere to be found (where do the trucks park when they're not open? Dear fellow Yelpers who have given this place anything above 2 or 3 stars.. cmon.. seriously? why would this truck deserve 4-5 stars?? In what insane category would they deserve this? I ordered three items because of the cheap price.. and also for the sake of RECONNAISSANCE!! Super Burrito/Three Tacos/One Hot Dog Not too greasy but the meat is bland and very cheap tasting. The rice was a little squishy and the chicken was just regular shredded meat unseasoned. Granted this was all very low priced, just around $10, but this wouldnt be the lunch menu I look forward to everyday. Service - Friendly, always fast. I give this place 2 stars because the food did not wow me at all. How can I tell other Yelpers to spend their hard earned cash during these harsh economics times to try this place out? I saw this truck after going to the pak-n-save, and noticed it served mexican food, and I had to try it. I went with my girlfriend, and we sat on the curb and had a chicken, steak, carnitas, al pastor, and cabeza taco. It was all very, very good. So good, in fact, we split an al pastor super burrito afterwords that was one of the best burritos I've ever had. Every expectation was exceeded. A definite must-go for anyone in the area. read more
