3/10/26 was our first time to dine at Tacos Don Pancho. Wow! This is the real deal! The service was spot-on. The tacos were authentic and delicious. The ambiance proved this is where the locals go. My husband got the lengua, tripe and buche tacos on corn tortillas. He said they were better than his favorite place in Lilburn, GA. I had a grilled fish taco and a birria taco. Both were excellent. The "serve-yourself" salsa bar was nice for pickled onions, pickled jalapenos, chopped white onion and cilantro, radish slices, and all the salsas you can imagine. Highly recommend. read more

First, I must admit we went there on Cinco de Mayo 2026. We thoroughly enjoyed Don Pancho! Four of us went and none had ever been there before but we have been to other authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. We were all very happy with our food and the service. They had a DJ when we went and it was all very festive. There were a lot of folks waiting for a table in the bar area. Even though it was Cinco de Mayo, I bet it is always crowded. Had a bad experience with the manager, my bill had several sauce charges on it and cheese that I didn't order with my meal, and some that wasn't explained that didn't come with the meal. The server didn't let me know there was a salsa bar up front and didn't explain to me that a steak taco comes with nothing but meat on it, It was my first visit there and Mother's Day and he didn't take anything off the bill, I only had $50 budget so I couldn't even tip the great waitress I had. The sauces charge was over $10! Who charges that much for sour cream and lettuce?? We won't be back and will tell others to bring extra money for the sauces, but don't recommend this place at all! read more

The first time I visited, my food was not as hot as I expected. I ordered the chicken enchiladas. The next few times, I only ordered tacos. The tacos are street tacos are pretty good. I really enjoy the birria tacos as well. They have a salsa bar that is self serve. Be sure to check their daily specials, as the prices are really reasonable for the specials. This was my go to spot when I was down in Brunswick Georgia for training. The service was great. Every time I visited and food quality for the price was unmatched. They kept a cleaner establishment and were always able to accommodate when I came in with some of my work buddies, they had good drinks as well. My favorite dish was the Don Pancho's Molcajete. The fresh shrimp, chicken and steak were always seasoned to perfection and enough to share with 2-3 people with ease. This is my first time visiting this establishment and the area in general. The service was great! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I went inside to place my takeout order and then I sat in my car until it was ready, so as not to take up any space for dining in guests. I ordered a vegetarian fajita with a side of churros. The food was "okay." Nothing to rave about or revisit. When I got back to my hotel, I was disappointed with the food portions I received. I received about a tablespoon of rice which was spread out to appear like it was much more than it actually was. A tablespoon of beans and a good portion of peppers, onions and mushrooms. Looks can definitely be deceiving because it appeared like it was a decent amount of food; however, upon opening it up, after one bite, your meal is done and you're just left with onions and mushrooms. This is sooo disappointing considering that it cost $20 and a little extra if you pay with a card instead of cash. Overall, I would not recommend this establishment if that is the food size they're serving. The one star is for the service not the food. read more

This one of the few good Mexican places around. Went to salsa and it was okay also tried 818 but it was more on the expensive side. They give you chips and salsa and the owner will walk around and ask how you're doing. Their drinks are good and they do have a happy hour. I tried their tortas, molcajete and they didn't disappoint. The prices are reasonable. They have a salsa table with different salsa, jalapeños, pickled onions and chopped up veggies. It was always busy when we went but never waited too long for a table. Really poor quality food. It's so annoying when Yelpers say "authentic Mexican" like they even know what that is. Your one trip to Cancun or Tijuana where you ate at Senor Frog's does not officiate your Latin palate! If you hiked the hills and lived with a Mexican family for abroad study, or are Latino/a then yeah, maybe you had some real Mexican. That said, I don't profess to know "authentic Mexican" but I will tell you the food I ate here tasted awful! Another Brunswick restaurant that has a wayyy inflated rating beyond what it could ever deserve. -Tortillas were the texture and taste of cardboard. -Tortilla chips tasted LOADED with lye and all the other gross chemicals used to mass produce them. -Chicken tasted like shredded canned slop. -Beans were bland as was the cheese -Veggies were so-so -Sauces all tasted very canned -Flan was okay, tasted like it was from restaurant supplier I'm always really disappointed when I could've cooked my amateur self a better Mexican meal at home with El Paso. I came in for lunch with my wife. I ordered tacos, she ordered the seafood sample plate. I was perfectly fine with my tacos but she didn't like her plate. She told the manager that there is no shrimp in the ceviche and it's very chewy. She didn't even have a bite because she had to spit it out. I told the guy that no worries, I will pay for it and bring her some tacos. Shortly after the bartender/manager came to the table and said "you have to pay for the seafood plate because you ate all the shrimp!" I don't understand why he felt like to insult us that we want to scam them with a $12 dish. I clearly stated that I don't care about the $12, I pay for it. Nevertheless I payed the bill and left 20% tip for the server - it wasn't her fault. I don't know the old bartender/manager's name because he didn't introduce himself when he came to our table to insult us, but clearly he don't have a clue about hospitality. read more

Tacos don pancho was a nice surprise. I didn't think much of it and nothing really sounded good to me. We stopped here and split the fajitas. I like how they have a bar of seasonings including the lime ec cilantro, pickled onion, salsas, and jalapeños. I thought everything complimented it nicely and I liked having those options. Surprisingly I thought the pickled onion was very good and I also liked the avocado salsa. It had a touch of spicy to me but my hubby said it was too spicy. He put way too much.
