Amazing find off the I5, right across the street from Jack in the Box. Legit Al Pastor and frijoles!!

Carne asada and Al pastor. Look at everything this comes with! A tostada con frijoles!

I ordered asada and Al pastor tacos. The flavor was crazy good on both but I especially loved the back yard bbq taste of the carne asada. It came with so much; grilled jalapenos, caramelized onions, radishes, a lime and a whole tostada con frijoles. Everything, including the salsa roja was quality and flavorful. The service was nice and the food came out quick. Stopping at this Tesla charger every time now.

Always amazing! Best asada tacos ever! Friendly service. Love how the plate comes with a tostada and grilled onions and chiles! Worth a drive from LA just to have lunch here!

Absolutely fantastic. Stopped by for gas, and was thrilled to see this food truck only 50 yards away! Price was unbeatable. $10 for a jarritos and tacos. The service was great and the lady was really nice and patient (especially considering that the wind made it tricky to hear me!). My food was out in a matter of minutes--I was fed and happy by the time everyone else in my party had received their food from the various local fast food joints they decided to go to. The meat was delicious and fresh, and the perfect little boost to get me through the drive. I would even go out of my way to swing by here as a gas stop to grab some fresh tacos. It's rare to find a joint at that level of quality on the road, and I'm glad that I've got another place on Yelp to refer back to on my next grapevine-traversing trip!

we stopped by this place twice while on the road since it was so good! the nachos & torta de al pastor hit the spot! it is also a great location for a break spot since the ihop & gas station both have restrooms to use. we will be stopping at this place every time we pass by it, thank you for the great service!

This is a food trailer near a gas station and Tesla Superchargers along I-5. I stopped in to supercharge. I grabbed lunch here after grabbing some drinks at the gas station store. I can't imagine that the store had anything to rival the wonderfulness that I got from this trailer. Mexican street food is only better in Mexico.

I tried the chicken mulita and it was delicious. My husband had the carne asada quesadilla that came with small salad and beans also so good. The beans were especially yummy. Great find after being on the backroads trying to get to the 5.

It was fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor which was a perfect complement to our meal. The Michelada was also delicious, as usual! For the food, the Rancheros Camarones were flavorful and satisfying, while the trio fajitas with chicken, steak, and shrimp came out hot, fresh, and packed with a great ratio of meats to veggies. The Envueltos Camarones (bacon-wrapped shrimp) were another standou which was savory, juicy, and absolutely delicious. And, of course, we can't forget the freshly made flour tortillas! They're always hot, fresh, and homemade in-house, which makes the meal that much better. The service was excellent as always. We had a few babies with our party, and our waiter went above and beyond by bringing out some fresh fruit for them while we enjoyed our chips and salsa. It was such a thoughtful touch and really made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Overall, La Costa Mariscos is a tasty spot with flavorful food, delicious drinks, and some great house-made touches. Definitely worth checking out if you're craving mariscos and Mexican-style favorites in Bakersfield!

A Delicious Stop After the Farmer's Market!…read more Stopped by Mas Bella after the farmer's market and had such a great meal! We started with three drinks: the Tullum Bloom, Strawberry Margarita, and Strawberry Lemon Drop. All three were delightfully fruity and refreshing, making it hard to pick a favorite! For food, we ordered the birria bao buns, shrimp bao bun, chile relleno, crispy beef taco with refried beans and rice, and camarones with refried beans and soft tortillas. The birria bao bun was my absolute favorite! The mini bao is packed with flavorful birria, and I absolutely loved the consommé they serve alongside it for dipping. It's such a fun combination, and that consommé takes the bao to another level. I also really enjoyed that they make their salsas in-house. They served both a verde and a roasted red salsa with the buns, and both were delicious. The chile relleno was another standout. That melted, cheesy goodness inside was everything you want from a chile relleno! The crispy beef taco was an unexpected winner. It was served with what seemed to be the same delicious birria-style beef, so it was instantly a favorite. The crispy shell paired perfectly with the tender, flavorful meat. The camarones with soft tortillas were also really good. The shrimp were well seasoned, and the soft tortillas made them perfect for building little tacos.

I had been bragging to my friends about how delicious the Bao Bun Tacos were and unfortunately they were out of the bao buns. I ordered the Tulum Bloom cocktail which I had in a prior visit but was disappointed. The cocktail was not as flavorful as the first time, it was presented in a plain glass with no floating flower. The first time I had it it was so beautiful in its presentation and delicious. Sadly not this time. Dimas, our server was great, the food good, but I was so looking forward to the Bai Bun Tacos.

I couldn't really taste the difference between the Paloma and the margarita ‍. The place is decorated really nice but what they should've focused on was making agood food. I'm so glad I only ordered appetizers because had I ordered food I would've wasted so much money. Birria tacos simply taste like red beef tacos, no real authentic flavor. Shrimp skewers I was told was okay but even that had more veggies than actual shrimps. The rice wasn't cooked all the way. The presentation on nachos was excellent but the nachos were gross. No flavor in guacamole. Beans were plain beans bland af. The chicken wasn't seasoned and had an awful charbroiled taste, just awful! The salsa weren't spicy or tasty. I can only recommend this place for a good happy hour spot because prices are outrageous for drinks. Once again they should've focused on the food than the decor.

The restaurant had a quiet atmosphere even though they are located at the Valley Plaza and it was the beginning of spring break. We both ordered the same drinks and food. Both drinks and entree (it was actually a shareable plate) tasted great but the salsa that came with the chips was a bit ordinary with no spice. Another staff member brought out two more salsas and jalepenos torneados. These salsas had more bite to them.

Everything was packed with flavor, the meat was juicy (not dry at all), and the salsas absolutely stole the show. On top of that, the staff really made the experience stand out.
