Another great food truck in my area. I'm covered in both ends of Rosemead Blvd. And this is yet another staple. Their tacos and burritos are good and hey can't go wrong with Mexican Coke

They didn't have the spit for the Al pastor. But the Al pastor burrito was still yummy yum. Their green salsa is made with Serrano chiles. The burrito is a good size when you get it with everything. I skipped the rice and my burrito was smaller. I did ask for extra onions and pico. They give you other sizes and the grilled onions was a nice surprise.

Inside carnitas burrito (no beans). Super flavorful.

Good things happen when you do good things.... I went to Staples on Colorado and Rosemead to return an online order for the GF and when I walked out of the store, I noticed a yellow food truck so I had to go check it out. It looked legit as I've eaten at quite a few food trucks. I asked the one patron at the truck about the food and he said he's a regular and that all the food is good. And, they are normally parked a bit further down the street in front the carwash yet were parked in eyesite for me leaving Staples so it was fate. And, I broke my own rules where a carne asada burrito is the first food item on a Mexican menu to try and I got a carnitas burrito instead (no beans). I guess rules are meant to be broken because that was some good carnitas and the rice was also really good with not only flavor but they cooked it right so each grain of rice bursts. Check out my pics. It's not too far from base camp and they open late so I can see coming back to get the carne asada burrito next...

Ordered the Asada Quesadilla, One Al Pastor, One Pollo to mix it up. Quesadilla $10.00 Tacos $2.50 Nachos $8.00 The cucumber and red onions are so good on top of the food. The Salsa Bar changed a little bit. They now have the salsa in the squirt bottles in ice. Still all you want lemons, onions, cilantro, radish, and cucumbers. Place does get busy as the the night proceeds but a decent taco joint in a Car Wash.

The spit caught my eye here as I drove by and had to check it out. The place was packed on a Saturday night and rightfully so. Everything smelled and looked delicious.

This is one of 3 reviews, that will have the same introduction! I decided to do my own version of a "taco crawl" and tested out 3 taco trucks I've driven by and have been wanting to try out! All 3 are in the SGV, and I'm SO glad to have tried them! This was on a week night, so it wasn't crowded, though I've driven by when it has been, and it always looked very popular. The name is a bit confusing though, I'll admit - I expected everything to be chicken, but it isn't! They had chicken of course, but there were many other items, including BREAKFAST burritos, which was good to know - will come back and try that one of these evenings! This truck is located in the Lucky Car Wash site at the corner of Colorado & Rosemead, which was interesting - but they had chairs and you could eat at the location. Not a fan of eating by the roads, a little too dusty for me, so I ate in the car! I was looking for carnitas tacos originally so we went with that as a choice. (There was no carnitas at the other truck we went to) Very moist and flavorful, but onions & cilantro toppings were separated, which you could get on your own at the table they set up. Salsa was also available with small containers to fill salsa with. But I think the salsa can afford to have more kick overall. I liked how everything was conveniently available, even sandwich bags to get any other condiments/toppings! I didn't try any other tacos, and for the most part it was tasty, but nothing super special - but staff here were friendly and helpful!

This food truck is located in the parking lot of a car wash at the corner of Rosemead Blvd and Colorado Blvd. I purchased an asada Tortas long time ago, and it was super flavorful, so I decided to come back when I am craving for late night snack. I came here late at night after attending a concert. I was very hungry and craving for mulitas, but they were out of tortillas for militias. I was a bit disappointed, so I ordered my second option: cabeza taco. I was excited when I got my plate as the cabeza looked very juicy! When I had my first bite, I was sad. The taste was so blend, as if it was tasteless. I tried adding some salsa, but I only tasted spiciness. The texture of the meat was very tender and juicy, just tasteless. If they can add more flavor to it, the tacos would be perfect! Each taco is $2, and they were very generous with the meat. The quantity of the meat definitely worth the money you paid.

Suadero mulita. It's dry and not authentic anymore.

It's a one-man operation, so wait times can be a bit longer if he's busy--but it's understandable. I loved the neon signs and the hospitality Rodney brings. You can genuinely taste the soul he puts into his food. That said, a few notes come down to personal preference--so if you enjoy it as-is, feel free to take this with a grain of salt. The ribs were incredibly tender--10/10. They were truly fall-off-the-bone. Personally, I would have loved a bit more of that smoky char you get from Texas-style ribs, but that's just my preference. Either way, Rodney clearly knows what he's doing. The potato salad wasn't my favorite. It leaned heavily on mustard, and there seemed to be a lot of relish or pickles, which threw me off a bit. Still, I'd absolutely come back again just for the ribs. The customer ahead of us ordered brisket, and I appreciated that Rodney was upfront about whether it was on the leaner or fattier side--that level of honesty goes a long way. Overall, the BBQ smelled and tasted great, and the pricing is very reasonable for the portions you get--it's definitely worth the value. If you enjoy good BBQ, I'd recommend making the trip to check this spot out before more people discover it. One thing to note: the ribs are truly fall-off-the-bone, so if you prefer a firmer, more "bite-through" texture where you can really gnaw on the meat, this might not be your style.

They are open till 11:30 PM, and they had a line of connoisseurs at 10 PM. I can see why! Their tacos are served hot and made on the spot. Their Asada Tacos with red sauce is great; they give it a great char and their salsa roja is savory and smoky. I especially love their Al Pastor Tacos: spicy, tender pork, with the sweetness of fresh pineapple to give that extra brightness and acidity. By far one of the best Al Pastor tacos I have had in a while, and they get extra bonus points for topping theirs with pineapple as some tacos trucks in LA don't do that all the time. Just thinking about it and typing this makes me want to head there but I will just have to wait till next time. Pro tip - the sprinklers go off on Santa Anita Ave around 10:30 PM, and my friends and I got sprayed so be careful not to stand on the grass during that time.

Birds were chirping and music was playing out of the speakers scattered throughout the area. It's a food truck. I ordered the cheesy Mikey. I only waited less than 5 minutes for it. The line to order was pretty long. I waited in that line for an hour or longer. But that's understandable since a lot of groups ordered tons of items while it was just me that ordered. I got to speak to Mike since one of his employees left. He verified my order, gave me napkins since it's not self serve and pointed out the ketchup and other condiments I think. The cheeseburger came with lettuce tomato onion garlic aioli sauce and the patty. I loved how all the flavors blended together, nothing was overpowering. It came with fries and it filled me up. The portion size was perfect. My order was $23.84 but that's because I tipped 10% and I think it was worth it. My one gripe was that they don't accept cash which is understandable because the kiosk was card only. I should've walked to the front and checked it or asked an employee. I pulled into the Good Fortune Supermarket (formerly Hong Kong Supermarket) parking lot to check it out. Everything looked new and clean, but business seemed slow because no one was around. Two Asian men sitting around liao tianr-ing (chatting) sprang up as I approached. My Chinese not being the best combined with their somewhat heavy mainland accents meant I didn't know how or what to order. They said they had one last serving of what sounded like "lamb" to me left. I took a glance and saw grilled/fried stuff on the menu, so I said sure why not. I asked how long they've been open, what their hours are, and if they're usually at this location. They said this is the first week they've been open, their hours are around 5 PM to 9 PM, and yes they are usually in front of the supermarket. I asked if I could take pictures and if they had a Yelp page, and they said sure and not yet. Around this time, while I was chatting with one guy and the other guy was preparing my order, a few other groups of people saw the commotion and started inching closer, curious. You know me, always blazing trails. Anyway, it wasn't until I paid and got change that I realized what I ordered. Apparently I ordered the Brothers Features Liangpi. I've never heard of a liangpi, so I was excited to bring it home to try it out. It turns out liangpi is like a flat rice noodle (or mungbean sheet?) cut up with cold cucumbers, tofu, cilantro, and a bit of Sichuan pepper (mala). They gave me a sesame sauce on the side. It was pretty good. In summary: Food was good though I ordered only one thing. I'll be back sometime in the next few days to try out more of their menu. Service was good. I was the only one around for a bit, but they were definitely friendly. Food truck with an "A" rating from the health department. It's a positive, but part of me wants to count it as a negative. Asian street food, to me, just isn't the same without massive cockroaches skittering around piles of rotting vegetables all around me while mosquitoes eat me alive. Pricing seems fair. Definitely not cheap as my liangpi wasn't huge or anything, but it wasn't too expensive either. I hope Asian-street-food food trucks become more popular.
