Great tacos! Our school in Houston has purchased tacos for the entire faculty for more than five years! We are never disappointed

So, I wish more people would comment on this restaurant. It is very authentic and a great regular place to go eat authentic, real Mexican food. It is not fancy, it is a takeout and eat fast place, but very good. I don't know which part of Mexico the recipes come from. Everything is a little bit different than what I am used to eating from the northern part of Tamaulipas. However, they give a good amount of food for very reasonable prices. I only have had the tacos, but they give a nice amount of meat and or beans / cheese. The salsas are very good. I recommend that the red salsa. I'm going to go there for menudo soon. read more

I ordered the huevos rancheros plate and it's really good, but the flour tortillas are hard. My husband ordered three flour tacos and the Mexican taco was too salty and the chorizo and egg had egg shells in it. Let's say pretty crunchy. read more

For a restaurant to be in a city like Houston, they have fallen short of the expectation of what Mexican tacos are supposed to be like. I understand that gentrification is a thing and they want to cater to the non-minority community, but when doing that you lose the flavor and the spirit of the food itself. The price did not match the quality nor quantity. And you know since they brew juice in house and had to try, and they missed the mark on that also. read more

Let me start by saying that we've dined here a number of times. It's not the greatest, but it's not the worst. My husband called in breakfast tacos this morning, 12/2/23. He opened his tacos to add the hot sauce and was shocked to see that the tacos barely had and filling in them, by barely I mean no more than a heaping tablespoon. Each taco costs $3 plus. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager Luz. She apologized and proceeded to tell me that the cook was new. I then told her that there is no excuse and that I was just making her aware. She then asked if my husband cared to return to make it right. My response was no, because my husband was very upset. Maybe, they have breakfast tacos that taste good. Who the heck doesn't. It's a taco. It isn't particularly difficult. It is unacceptable that a business logistics do not allow it to process an order faster than this place does. No breakfast taco is substantially better than the next. Especially to justify the wait that you are required to make to eat anything from taco Flores. It is shameful how long this place takes. Worse part of it is they don't care. They hang signs all over talking about being short staffed. Saying they won't give refunds. "Educating" the customer on why they are going to take a long time. Alright. You do you. Low-key, counter service spot with limited tex-mex items between Humble and Atascosita. It is located next to a full-service mexican restaurant, so that is a little weird. I came during a weekday lunch when they had a modest crowd. On a 90+ degree day, I opted to sit inside instead of the covered patio, but it was freezing in the larger main dining area. Service was excellent and I had hoped they offered agua frescas, but they said they only have horchata. My order consisted of 3 tacos and a banana liquado for around $10. Banana liquado - basic shake, comes chilled in a 32oz cup without cinnamon or ice, like many others around town. It almost makes me think they have this pre-made. Beef with potato and gravy taco - probably my least favorite, this was like a mexican beef stew wrapped in a tortilla sans the broth. Barbacoa taco - pretty solid, goes well with their green sauce Beef fajita quesadilla - Beef slightly peppery and tender, comes with only tortilla meat and cheese. Next time, I'll ask to add lettuce and tomato. It was good, imo, but mainly because of the cheese. Their 2 salsas are brought to the table in plastic bottles, along with your meal. I found the green sauce to be the better of the two, since it's smoother....while the red sauce has a roasted red pepper flavor and is much spicier. It was kinda far from my work, probably twice as far as my other fav taco spot in town, so not sure I will be coming very often. read more

Was back in Houston in the Humble area and I needed my breakfast tacos fix. Quick search led me to this highly rated joint. Placed a pickup and still had to wait about 10 minutes after I arrived but it was well worth it. Homemade tortillas, fluffy eggs and meats were legit. Only thing I didn't like was how they put the salsas in little ziplock packs instead of little cups. But the taste made up for it. read more

Taco Flores, WTH! You establishment is packed, and you claim make to order food. I just don't believe it ! My tacos came out cold. I had to order three flour tortillas so I can transfer from the cold tortillas to the very very hot ones. Plus still paid extra for the tortillas because when I made a complaint about cold tacos all I got was a deer in headlights stare , that's it , no other response. I usually order the same thing here everytime, I get my breakfast tacos from here. They have the best barbacoa tacos here and I sometimes get the chorizo and egg taco. I like them because I can order from Uber eats. Titas tacos is right down the road but they don't have any delivery service and sometimes the lines are just way too long. Man this place has grown so much since I first came here almost 4 years ago. When I first came here, it was a small, one room building with only a couple of tables. Now, it has expanded to an outside patio, and even a new extended building attached to it. American dream is alive and well. Onto the food. When we got there, this place was packed. For good reason, too. This place has really good breakfast tacos, and that's what majority of people come here for, is breakfast. But I was feeling for a fajita burrito, so that's what I got lol. Fajitas were delicious. And their green sauce is really good. The red sauce is really good too, and has a good level of spiciness. Girlfriend had some sort of breakfast plate, which was also really good. Also had some queso flameado as a starter, which is basically chorizo wrapped in some really thick quesadilla mozzarella cheese. If you're into fruit drinks, give the cantaloupe a shot. Taco Flores is not a bad place, it's just the only place near by, the food is bland and it does not really make you feel yummy inside, it's almost as if your hungry and your looking for tacos nearby. I Love Tacos in General,This is place has good food but they would make me stop eating tacos right this moment !!! They never answer the phone and when they do they have you on hold for 10 plus minutes. I try to call before hand because I live about 20 mins away and am sometimes further and just make it so hard to eat here it's really sad and annoying. We go here almost every week. We love their breakfast tacos. Sadly, every single time we come, we get poor service. On the weekends, we sit there waiting at least 30 mins for 4/6 tacos. It never fails us, where we wait with a room full up hungry people. Possibly it could be there's too many people? Wrong. We come during the evening too, when's there barely anyone there. Yesterday we called when I left the medical center, arrived to the Taco Flores, still had to wait 15 more minutes. It took 45 mins, for a BRC burrito and two street tacos. Was it fresh?
