Seems like a corporate Mexican restaurant with pretty good Mexican authenticity. The lady at the cash register was totally sweet. I ordered a Carne Asada Burrito (no I was not feeling adventurous) and a fountain drink. I love how they had pineapple, fruit punch, horchata, and all these other drinks. I got pineapple, cause I love pineapple juice. the pineapple juice was ok, not THAT great. The burrito was really good. I like how they had a salsa bar where you can load up as much salsa as you want. One thing I didnt like was the avocado. It comes in a little container, but I thought it was a little tasteless. I honestly don't recommend this place to eat tacos if you have a decent appetite for good food. The tacos al pastor are not al pastor -just the seasoning- the asada is just bad . All meats are too dry and the tortillas are heat up by stem instead of grilled . That gives them a flavor as if they were heat up on the microwave . The water flavors are good if you are desperate of dying of diabetes . The small taco stand around my house is a little grill with a table and 4 chairs but the tacos are way better. read more

Taste of tacos was so-so. For the most part, restaurant looked clean. I went into the restroom and it was not all that clean. I thought it would be a bit cleaner. I've visited Tacos El Gavilan for quite amount of times already. This is your go to spot after clubbing or partying on Friday or Saturday nights. You can catch a big amount of crowds here. Watch out, you might see fist fights and stuff. No lie. Anyways, people might complain about the price for one taco. You have to look at the salsa bar they offer. They offer a bunch of product along with beans. What else do you want? King Taco doesn't even offer you lemons at some locations and have to pay for extra salsa. I give it to Gavilan for their salsa bar. Their aguas frescas are ok. The most popular is Horchata. The food is average. Not the best but you can cure your appetite for a taco or burrito here. Even for a Torta. I personally think the Tortas are the best thing on the menu here. They're well serve with everything. You must try a torta. As for customer service, they're fast with taking your order and delivering it. I mean on busy nights like Friday and Saturday you have to considerate the amount of people inside. They're humans too. The tacos de asada here are delicious! They are not the best in my opinion, but, they certainly are going to satisfy your taste buds. Just for your information, my typical order here will be the asada tacos, top of with their amazing salsa verde, a squeeze or two of lemon, and with horchata (which btw I say it's better than King Taco's). I've ordered their torta which was pretty good but I think it's a bit pricy, in my opinion. And their burritos are good, I actually prefer theirs than King Taco's, because their meat in my opinion has more flavor, is more tender, and in my experiences, they give you more meat. Overall, the place is pretty clean, the staff are okay, the food doesn't take long to be ready, so your stomach won't be saying "feed me!" but rather saying "thank you" :D.
